Trying to Get Pregnant

Re: WTO: Thursday 12/27

  • I've never started the daily thread before!  I'm nervous!

    Month/Cycle:  cycle 6

    CD:  12

WAYDTGKU:  inositol, PNV, BBT, OPK, and about to HIO  (my predicted FW starts soon!)

R/R:  nothing really new around these parts.  My BFF's father unexpectedly passed away last night, and so I'm pretty sad and upset for her.  I hate that she's several hours away so I can't be right there with her, too.

CS/Q:  still hoping temps regulate a bit, so that any shift will be able to be seen...
  • Loading the player...
  • Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, FF, OPKs, SMEP

R/R: glad it's Thursday! Got a bunch of gifts put away last night and working on getting my house back to normal.

CS/Q: not much to see, starting SMEP today for the first cycle.

  • Also:  tagging from yesterday (since I did a bump-and-run)...

@kimmer123:  I think I'm most fascinated by the fact you can wash Rothy's....like in the washing machine.  Totally cool.

@inthewoods23:  GOOD LUCK WITH IUI today!!!!!

    @kbrown2385:  your island is gorgeous!!!

@emeraldduchess:  I'm so sorry to see you back over here...many hugs to you.  I hope you have a renewing week off.

    @zuuls_mom:  hugs to you.

@lillywonderland:  I'm a pathologist (diagnosing disease at my microscope), so I'm "behind the scenes."  (i.e. I'm a lab nerd!)

  • @lcking82 Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sure your heart is hurting for her.

@kimmer1412 You're one step ahead of me... Mine are all still in boxes in various corners of my house lol

    Month/Cycle: 13

    CD: 13

WAYDTGKU: Progesterone, VItC, CoQ10, pnvs, OPKs, CP, CM, FF

R/R: No real updates other than I've taken a few days off the TB and miss you guys! I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this AM, so I'm a little grumpy. Hoping that working out can turn my mood around.

CS/Q: Nothing exciting happening yet but the time beginning to be upon us! :D
  • edited December 2018
@lcking82 I am so sorry for your friend's loss.  It's so hard when your loved ones are hurting and you can't physically be there for them to lean on.
@kimmer1412 good luck with SMEP.  It's tiring but it takes the guesswork out of timing.
    @nomangos23 have a nice workout!

Month/Cycle: 6/6 (benched until next cycle)

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, HIO, SMEP, red raspberry leaf tea. Anyone have a recommendation for prenatal vitamins? I am wondering if the Target brand gummies are probably garbage.

R/R: I'm reading a novel about Catherine of Aragon and I am loving it.  It doesn't matter how many novels about the Tudors I read, I still can't get over what an arrogant prick Henry VIII was.
I'm debating auditioning for a local theater production next week.  I miss performing, and the theater has always been my safe place. It might be good for me to get involved in something to take my mind off the BSC of TTC.

CS/Q: Nope. My bbt was the same today as yesterday, so I guess that's good.  I know there's no more HCG in my system, so hopefully my body is going to get back on track quickly.  DH and I don't like that we have to wait until next cycle, but it's probably best to let my body recover.

    Edit: words are hard.

@lcking82 I am so sorry about your friend's dad and that you aren't physically there to comfort her. I hope her and her family are able to find peace.
    @kimmer1412 Get to SMEPin! haha!

    Month/Cycle: 14/15

    CD: 11

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM, BBT, Clomid, RLT

R/R: I got a +OPK and a temp drop this morning so I guess O is imminent even though I've seen zero EWCM. Thanks Clomid. I'm bummed. I did read it can mess with fertile CM and basically counteract itself. I was just hoping I would be a SS, I guess. I was also hoping I would O a bit later than normal. Rave - honestly can't think of any at the moment. I was going to have the day off work tomorrow but we're so busy with this stupid 1/4 project that I'm going to have to log on. And I'm still salty I had to work the entire time I was visiting my parents. Might as well have stayed back in KY. (So sorry for all the negativity today...tomorrow will be better haha)

CS/Q: is there a way to add a chart on my computer? I usually just edit my post on mobile and add it. Technologically challenged...

  • @emeraldduchess I use Zahler - they have the more natural form on Folic Acid which is good for those who have the MTHFR mutation. I haven't been tested for the gene mutation but decided to take the natural form anyway because what can it hurt? You should for sure audition for the local theater production! I think that's awesome!
  • Month/Cycle: 8/8

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, OPKs, CM, HIO, BBT, SMEPish

R/R: Christmas candy was 50% off yesterday so I obvs bought some because CANDY. DH questioned why there was a bag of candy with our groceries...apparently 50% off is not a good enough deal to justify in his eyes. This is from the man who went out of our way to buy a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts on our drive home. Side note: new diet starts next year!! (Lol, jk we really don’t eat that sh*tty).

CS/Q: I feel like I O’d yesterday but I slept crappy and didn’t get a huge temp spike at the normal time. I also temped 2 hours before I normally do and I think in my sleep deprived state it was higher than normal...but that was also 2 hours earlier. Bah humbug! I thought temping was supposed to be foolproof!! (Maybe I am the fool? Lol)

@icking82 Oooh! Your job sounds like fun! I’m also a lab nerd, but I work for big pharma, LOL.

@Kimmer123 Good luck with SMEP! I am not looking forward to taking down my Christmas Tree. I may have casually mentioned to DH that I wouldn’t mind if the Christmas tree was up all year. I’m not sure he’s cool with that! 😂

    *eta grammar mistake!
  • @nomangos23 thanks for the tip! I need to venture out today to get some new vitamins.
@lillywonderland what's the Christmas candy of choice? I need to get out and snag some but I have a feeling all the Christmas candy will be gone and the Valentine's crap will be out already.
@b_1029 sorry about the work craziness.  That sucks that you couldn't take a break to enjoy the time with your family.
  • @nomangos23 I MISSED YOU!! I hope you had a nice relaxing Christmas!!

@emeraldduchess I read/heard from somewhere that gummy vitamins weren’t the best at being absorbed through your system but they were good for people who didn’t normally take/like vitamins since you would still get some absorption. I just take the regular up&up swallow kind. Also, you should TOTALLY audition for the theatre! I would come and watch you if I was closer. Also, I just got the Reese’s PB “jingle bells”. They had a buttload of candy in like 10 shopping carts...to make way for the Valentine’s candy that was already on the shelves. LOL.

@b_1029 I’m sorry work is a big pile of poop and you had to work while on Christmas vacay. At least your project is due next Friday? And you have your birthday in T minus 2 days!! AND YOUR NOT-SO-SURPRISE trip too!!

@icking82 I’m so sorry I forgot to send my condolences to your BFF. I hope that you can be her rock through this tough time, even if it is from afar.
  • Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays!

@lcking82 Sorry to hear about your BFF’s father and that you aren’t able to be with her right now. Huge hugs to you.

@kimmer1412 Hope you get everything back to normal soon! Good luck with SMEP!

@nomangos23 Hope you have a good workout and it lifts your spirits!

@emeraldduchess Sorry to see you back here friend  <3 The theatre sounds like it might be a great distraction for you!

@b_1029 Sorry you had to work while you were visiting family. I usually email my chart to myself and then add it to my photos on my iPad.

@lillywonderland Yay for 50% off candy. That’s a great deal! What kind was it?

R/R: Had a nice time with the family and made some great new memories. But man am I exhausted! I work the next 3 nights then have a few days off.

CS/Q: I may have ovulated yesterday and am just having a slow rise.. or maybe this cycle is an-O? It’s confusing because my OPKs were positive CD 14 & 15.

  • we must've all posted at the same time!

@nomangos23 I missed you!! Hope you had a nice break with family.

@emeraldduchess I take the Smartypants prenatal gummies and they're sooo good. I wish I could eat the whole bottle haha. You should definitely audition! I'm sure putting your energy into something fun that you enjoy would be really helpful.

@lillywonderland yummm to Christmas candy. Great idea, gonna have to go raid the store when we get back tonight. I've given up on eating healthy until we come back from our vacation, lol. There is so much to learn with temping, it can be so frustrating!

@misshelen86 thanks for the chart tip! I'm glad you had a great time with your family. Hope you can get some sleep before all of your night shifts! I don't know how you do it!
  • @lcking82 so sorry about your friends loss

@emeraldduchess what is the name of the book? I need something to read and love that time period.

@nomangos23 I’ve definitely used working out to improve my mood. Hopefully it works for you!

@lillywonderland I went to the grocery yesterday and was able to steer clear of the Christmas candy, although I did get 3 rolls of wrapping paper for less than $3. I’m all set for next year...i just need to remember that I have it and not buy more.

@b_1029 I’m still annoyed over that project deadline for you lol.

    Month/Cycle: 25/benched

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: all the testing

R/R: getting our budget in order for January and it’s sickening how much money we blow through on nothing. Really hoping to stick to it and pay down lots of debt this year. Also, I’m kind of glad the holidays are over. I need to get back to eating clean again.

CS/Q: not much to see but three lonely dots. Idk why 2 of them are open. They were taken at the same time each day.

  • @kbrown2385 it's called Katherine of Aragon the True Queen by Alison Weir.  She has a whole series in progress about Henry's 6 wives.  I am hoping to finish this one in a day or two and start the one about Anne Boleyn. I also took the one about Jane Seymour out of the library, but doubt I will get to it before it has to go back.  I am not sure if the one about Anne of Cleeves has been published yet, but I saw a pic of the cover.
  • @emeraldduchess:  I'm also obsessed with the Tudors.  I haven't read that series/author and will have to check it out!
  • @lcking82 I’m so sorry about your friend’s dad, that is so hard. Hugs to you.

@kimmer1412 I hope the SMEP does the trick for you this cycle!

@nomangos23 I hope your day turns around!

@emeraldduchess That sounds fun about the theater production, definitely a good way to distract yourself!

@b_1029 Sorry about the work craziness, I hope things calm down soon for you

@lillywonderland 50% off candy is for sure worth it!

@misshelen86 I’m glad you had a nice visit with family! I’m no help with the chart but it looks like maybe just a slow rise? Time will tell.

@kbrown2385 Good for you for working on your budget. I feel like half the battle is just figuring out where you’re spending and setting some limits. Good luck!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 19

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK

R/R: my phone is FINALLY fixed and waiting for me to be picked up after over two weeks (they originally told me it would be 3-5 days). Downside is the apple store is 30 mins away. First world problems, I know.

CS/Q: I have no clue what my chart is doing. Positive OPK CD 16 but no temp rise. So either I haven’t ovulated yet or my temps are inaccurate. Which is definitely possibly because my BBT is pretty old and I’ve been really restless at night due to some pain recently. Should I keep taking OPKs?

  • @lcking82 Yay on starting a post! Sorry about your friend's dad  <3.

@kimmer1412 Dang you're on the ball! I still have presents scattered everywhere lol.

@nomangos23 Hoping the rest of your day goes smoothly! Enjoy that workout!

@emeraldduchess I asked my OB for an RX and I get my prenatal at the pharmacy now. It actually comes out to be free with my insurance! If you've been debating about going to audition - you should just do it!

@b_1029 Ahh, wtf Clomid messing with CM! So sorry about work - that's super annoying! I usually log on but it can get tricky to save the chart as a photo so I just use the snipping tool and then save it!

@lillywonderland Atta girl - get ALL of the candy! Too funny about YH! Hope that your able to get those CH!

@misshelen86 Glad you were able to enjoy time with family and make those memories! Hope work flies and you're able to enjoy your time off! Maybe ask in the Chart Stalk thread?

@kbrown2385 Yay on budgeting! It's crazy where money goes!!! I agree on the getting back to eating better. I need more veggies in my life lol.

@krassa0315 Glad your phone is back in action! Maybe keep up the OPKs and HIO just in case!

@krassa0315 we’ve been following Dave Ramsey since September but went slightly (more than slightly 😬)  off plan this month. Working to rein it back in in the new year.
  • @lcking82 I'm so sorry to hear about your BFF's dad. That's so awful.

@emeraldduchess definitely audition! It sounds like a wonderful opportunity. Especially if it's your safe place  <3

@zuuls_mom SMEP is sperm meets egg plan, essentially it takes the guess work out of timing sex based on ovulation. More or less starting CD8 you have sex every other day, CD10 you start OPKs, once you get a +OPK you have sex that day and the next 2 days, skip the 3rd day and have sex the 4th day.

I think I got that right but this is my first cycle attempting it lol
  • @kimmer1412 Oooh, interesting!! May have to look into that more. Sounds pretty straightforward and less stressful. But definitely tiring lol.

@nomangos23 she said to make my ovulation stronger. I don’t really know much outside of that but I was confused too since I already ovulate. Honestly may just take some time off all this until we’ve saved enough $ to go back to the RE :/
  • @nomangos23 we're going to see Aquaman! I am really looking forward to it.

  • @lillywonderland I'm a sucker for post holiday discounted candy. My favorite are the cadbury mini eggs with the crunchy outer shell and chocolate inside. We literally buy multiple large bags and throw them in the freezer
@nomangos23 a friend of mine saw Mary Poppins and she said the whole family enjoyed it! I haven't been to a move in forever!!
@zuuls_mom I also get to deal with a bunch of folks trying to push their way through without following process. Ummm nope. Your poor planning is not my emergency!! Isn't that just insanely frustrating?
