31 weeks today and the size of asparagus and a small clawed otter.
2) How are you feeling?
Very excited, but exhaustion has hit me like a truck. I had to sleep sitting up on our couch last night due to a headache and all i want is rest. Problem being, i always think i should be doing something and jeeo myself up. My main goal is to SLOW IT DOWN this week
3) Any appointments this week?
Nope have my 32 week appointment next Wednesday. I've had an easy going first pregnancy with no issues, so i cant complain.
4) R/R/Q
Rant: my husband knows how much of an insanely light sleeper i am, but comes crashing into the bedroom with lights blazing, asking if he should wear a blue or black shirt to work the next day. Getting plenty of practice for this no sleep thing, haha
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children?
Me and my husband are watching one xmas movie a night this week. We finished Die Hard last night. Dave randomly said he wants to have our kids pick out a gift to donate each year to teach them about sharing. I was so touched! We're both only children and were kind of spoiled but lobely, so we want a different experience for our kids.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 33 weeks, celery baby.
2) How are you feeling? Big. Wondering where my chin went lol. SPD-like pain and acid reflux are my complaints right now.
3) Any appointments this week? Next MW appointment is the 27th.
4) R/R/Q? Mostly I'm just so impatient to have this baby and not be pregnant lol. But he can stay cooking for now.
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children? I love everything! Decorating the tree, Christmas movies, baking, Bailey's in coffee lol. For my kids, definitely movie nights, baking and picking a Christmas donation out of the World Vision catalogue (which we do each year). I will likely be continuing my mother's tradition of not letting a soul touch her tree lol. She would decorate it while we were asleep. I will likely do the same XD
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? - 31 weeks, the size of a baby elephant (or so it feels like).
2) How are you feeling? - Pretty good! I tire more easily and baby’s movements are borderline painful occasionally, but they’re also reassuring so it’s fine. Getting up to pee several times a night is getting old.
3) Any appointments this week? - Nope.
4) R/R/Q - I wish H would stop talking to me when I get up at night to pee. He’s nocturnal and I have an early morning job, so our schedules are opposite during the week. When I get up to pee, he sees it as an opportunity to talk to me since we don’t see each other during the day. It’s sweet and I want to talk to him too, but if also wakes me up and I need to sleep! If I get up, pee, and go back to bed without any interruptions I fall right back asleep.
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children? - This one’s tough for me, because all my traditions are with my family back in Norway. H didn’t celebrate Christmas as an adult before he met me, and his family is far away during winter, so it’s just the two of us still figuring our traditions out, and also trying to combine Norwegian and American traditions in general. This is the first year we’ve even had a tree! I do make a traditional Norwegian Christmas dinner, and I also want to start baking Norwegian Christmas cookies, but probably not this year. I guess we’ll just see what happens. One thing is for certain though: “real” Christmas is Christmas Eve, not Day, so we’ll celebrate on the 24th like Norwegians do.

Y’all, it is still Wednesday. I’m actually doing this ON TIME this week. *pats back*
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
33 weeks, celery-sized.
2) How are you feeling?
Oh, you know. Doing ok physically, though I wish this baby would find something to kick other than my left hip. Oof!
3) Any appointments this week?
Two. Had an OB appt yesterday for the usual fundal height measurement/fetal hb check. MFM appt and growth scan on Friday for reasons I’ll rant about below.
4) R/R/Q
Rave first: We found a doula!!! We were in a bit of a bind when our childcare plan fell through for our 4yr old, but we found a great doula and I’m excited for the help she’ll be able to provide me while my husband bounces back and forth between DD and the hospital.
Rant: Preschools are germy cesspools and DD contracted 5th Disease. She had zero symptoms until the rash showed up, and by then she apparently wasn’t contagious anymore. Thusly, I also contracted the virus, and since it’s something that can potentially affect the baby, I’ve been transferred to the high risk team. I hope they are really thorough at my appt on Friday. I wasn’t overly impressed with their level of attention at my last growth scan (we have a complicated history and were seeing them for ultrasounds already). I’ve had a lot of anxiety about this whole thing, and I really need them to do everything they can to make sure this baby is ok.
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children?
We had SO many fun traditions growing up: Cookies, special Christmas morning breakfast, making pizza with Dad while Mom was out shopping, specific songs when we decorated the tree and opened presents. DH’s family didn’t really have a lot of traditions, and I struggled for a long time with wanting to keep my childhood traditions alive after we were married, but DH wasn’t into it. Since DD was born, I’ve realized that we really need to just start coming up with new traditions that are unique to our little family. We’re still working on it, but I’m hopeful that as the kids get older, things will naturally evolve.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 32 weeks! And I'm blanking on the veggie.
2) How are you feeling? Ok. I've had some aches and pains but stretching has really helped so far so I can't complain.
3) Any appointments this week? Unexpectedly, yes. A growth scan tomorrow and follow up with the OB, who's not my regular one, on Monday.
4) R/R/Q - this baby has a real knack for moving just when I need the reassurance. Last night when DH and I were both freaked out by the OB sending me for a growth scan for measuring small, LO put on a wonderful show that I caught on video and sent to DH.
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children? My favourite tradition is basically everything involved with going home to my parents. In recent years that's been more complicated with families slowly splitering off to have Christmas in their own homes. I miss Christmas at my parents but it's the people that really matter! DH and I have never celebrated Christmas on our own and he's Jewish (but very non practicing) so that is very much to be determined.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 32 weeks tomorrow. Ginormous 2) How are you feeling? Big and rolly. Like the fat pregnant lady. 3) Any appointments this week? none 4) R/R/Q I have no desire to work anymore, but I did agree to work untilthe end of January. Next two weeks I’m trying to do all baby preparation things.
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children? It’s always been a tradition to go to neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights. I want to do that when everyone is old enough. Also my family has usually had some gifts or stocking items as jokes.
@grebretso I feel ya on the middle of the night pee convo, DH is a light sleeper and always asks "are you ok?"
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 32 weeks, squash
2) How are you feeling? Good! Baby likes to camp out under my ribs which makes sitting with any leaning forward impossible
3) Any appointments this week? Tomorrow with an attending OB for the first time (I've only seen a resident and 2 different PA's so far)
4) R/R/Q I haven't been very hungry in the evenings (super unusual for me ha) and so not felt like cooking so DH has stepped up a lot lately which i appreciate so i have a little something to eat and then lunch the next day
5) What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Bonus question: Which traditions you intend on sharing with your child/children? My mom's side of the family always got together Christmas Eve (think 40+ people crammed into my grandparents small house) but that's changed since my pap passed away a few years ago. So this year we're hosting the extended family on Saturday, hopefully it becomes a tradition
Today my Dr scheduled my GD class for after Christmas and I got the supplies. I really think it's a false positive but I would rather be safe. Been eating good this past week
4) R/R/Q
Car seat is coming tomorrow and a close friend offered to host my baby shower in January! Huge relief!
