My confession is that this week i ate some pizza that had come right out the oven so fast that it was super hot, and the pizza cheese and sauce dripped on my face and i ended up getting a burn on my chin. like, an actual blister. I've been telling people its a popped pimple. *FacePalm*
Inspired by my recent post in ransoms. This is actually probably more of a UO.
I hate Amazon. They treat Alaska (like a lot of other companies) like the red-headed stepchild. Prime is a scam, in my experience. And I avoid ordering from them whenever possible.
@zionsmama85 Sorry you burned yourself. And now all I can think is mmmmmm... pizza!
@lovesclimbing My mom has the biggest love/hate going with Amazon. She lives in a very rural area and two-day delivery is a lie where she lives, but she keeps ordering from them becuase she loves having access to items she can’t get locally!
It’s my husband’s holiday party for work tonight. I have a dress, I booked a babysitter ages ago, and I was planning to enjoy a rare adult evening socializing with my husband... and my daughter woke up sick as a dog this morning.
My confession is that I briefly considered not canceling. I need this night out so bad. Instead I took the day off work, I am staying home with Miss Germy, and I gave my husband my blessing to stay out and have fun for me. I hate being a grownup!
I've totally binged on sweets since I did my glucose test yesterday. Currently staking out my inbox for the results even though my midwife told me to lay off them regardless of the results.
I love amazon, but we've only had prime while living in pretty urban areas.
ETA: Here's a better FFFC. DD is home sick with DH, and while I don't wish that she feels bad I do kind of wish that she is as much of a pain to him as she often is to me when I have to stay home with her.

My FFFC: We're spending $900 on our baby shower for food and a venue. Hubby's family is super judgmental so instead of dealing with all the nonsense and criticism we're making sure everyone who they want to invite is there, there's plenty of space and plenty of food.
Side note : I knew what I was getting into when we got married as they objected to me on the grounds I didn't make enough money and I just generally wasn't "enough." Got to love family.
@govanalyst86 ugh, what a bunch of assholes. I'm sorry they make you feel that way and that you have to spend that kind of money to make them happy. They should be giving this gift to you, not the other way around.

I had sex this morning. First time since my first trimester and will probably be the last time till after Baby. Varicose veins in The Who ha make doing the deed not the least bit fun. My poor husband.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I don't think DH and I have had sex since like early October.
Also, his work just decided to send him to Wales for 3 days in January (they sent him in July, too, when I was having morning sickness) and I'm more annoyed at missing out on another international trip due to pregnancy than I am about him for a few days in month 7 - 8.
govanalyst86 I agree...what a bunch of jerks! They totally should be throwing this party in your honor. If they have all this $$, then sounds like they'd want an excuse to be snobby jerks and show off. Sorry...I just can't stand that kind of mess. You deserve better.
@meggyme LOL that's totally gonna be me after the my glucose test! I've been trying to be good, but the more I think about "being good" the more I want stuff I don't need lol
My confession: I wrote my 1st horrible review on Amazon this week. I've been waiting on the baby's name thing for nursery for almost a month now. The seller tried BSing me and lied about it getting here last week when USPS said they hadn't even shipped it yet. Beware if you ever order from the Apothecary Shop on there.

@bdesterhouse yes, we've made a lot of progress building the relationship. They've just always been judgmental and focused on appearances so we just pick our battles. They also feel our house is too small and has too many stairs. We don't agree! We love our house and will stay there for a long time.
@bdesterhouse that sux! sex is not so comfortable for me right now either. I am just not into it at all, and i think the pregnancy is turning my SO on LOL. he was all over me like white on rice last night and i was like MANNNNNNN i just wanna watch Top Chef! i don't want him to feel neglected but i try to soldier through and i really hope that it gets better after baby is evacuated LOL
@maggiemadeit yeah, it’s not fun. I’m looking into a cushion for my chair at work. I didn’t even know this was a thing till I asked my OB. This is my 3rd pregnancy to make it this far and she’s like oh yeah totally normal! What?! How?! This hurts! Lol

@bdesterhouse we are slacking in that department as well, but not because of any obvious reason. I don't have the drive currently, and I guess neither does DH.
My confession: I don't really enjoy the baby kicks this time around. Maybe because he's breech and all his kicks are very low (including to my bladder!). I mean, I'm happy he's kicking a lot and I don't have to worry, but I remember I was more excited with DS1.
@mihaelams1 I can relate to that. Kicks with DD1 were a novelty. DD2 has been far more active than DD1 was and a lot of them are uncomfortable. She also kicks anytime I get up at night and then lay back down, which makes it a lot harder to go back to sleep.

@bdesterhouse we’ve been slacking in the sack, too. Partially because of the chest cold running rampant in our house the past few weeks, partially because I’m not particularly interested and partially because the bigger I get the less interest DH is (he’s gets worried we’ll hurt baby). My FFFC - my glucose test is Tuesday and my midwife told me to lay off sugar in the week before... but we got a box of fancy chocolate for DH office, and we have cookies, and donuts were brought into the office this week. So instead of being particularly good, I’ve been particularly bad... (really hoping it doesn’t affect the test!).
@mihaelams1 ditto with the kicks. I enjoy them but i definitely don't remember them being so hard the first time around. It feels like she is digging her toes into my cervix or something. I am glad she is very active...but ouch, all the time ouch.
I’m glad I’m not the only one neglecting their “spousely” duties (pure sarcasm there).
This girl’s kicks are still so surreal. It’s still hard for me to believe I’m growing a human again and we’ve made it this far. As fun as it is, im ready to be done. I keep reminding myself she needs to cook longer, but dang if this anxiety isnt insane the further I get. I am so ready to have our miracle girl complete our family.

Count me in on another that’s not doing much in the “sack” lately. It’s not for lack of DH trying ... I just literally have no drive and I’m exhausted. My poor husband! Same thing happened when I pregnant last time I had zero drive for that. Unfortunately it didn’t come back until after the breastfeeding settled down and DS wasn’t eating every few hours.
Count me in to this club. It’s definitely been a few weeks and was many, many weeks before that time. My DH is being very understanding about it which is nice. Especially with my groin pull, all these aches and exhaustion and no drive just make it a non starter for me.

I guess I’m in the minority whose libido has been in overdrive, at least compared to pre-TTC. I think birth control gets it down, but I’m enjoying being the initiator for once. Of course once I get really big, and especially once I’m likely overdue and wanting to have sex to get the baby out of me, MH will likely not be that interested like last time. We’ll see though. Last time he came home from a 5 month deployment when I was 8 months along, so not the gradual growing like this time.

Yeah...we haven't been doing to great in the sack lately either. I actually had a pretty good drive with my first pregnancy, but afterwards sex hurt for several months because of scar tissue and being dry as the sahara while breastfeeding. And even after I was done breastfeeding, I never really got past the sheer exhaustion of having an infant/baby/toddler. Still haven't. So while I do have some drive right now. I'm just too tired most of the time to do anything about it. I know MH is struggling with it, so I'm trying to make more of an effort...especially since i know after baby girl comes I will have zero desire for many months.
@lelkcot Oh man, it must be going around. Mine came home drunk as a skunk after his Xmas party on Friday! I gave him an appropriately hard time on Saturday, just for fun lol.
We had some friends over last night who are due with their first on Christmas Eve and I was so encouraged to see the husband refrain from more than a drink or two because his wife had been feeling off all day. Last time MH came home from a party schloshed on my due date, so I'm hoping not to have a repeat of that conversation.
