I’m a little over 9 weeks today and baby’s heart rate was 185. Doc said it was a little high but wasn’t concerned. With my daughter it was never over 150 so it freaked me out. Mind sharing your heart rates with this freaked out Mama?

If your doctor isn’t concerned then why are you freaking out? Don’t you think that their input is a little more reassuring than anecdotal stories from internet strangers? Would it help you or worry you more to hear my son’s heart rate was at the opposite end of the spectrum?
Isn’t the point of these forums to get others experiences? We’ve gone through a lot to get pregnant with this baby so yes, I am concerned about everything because of that.
@meln314 well no. The purpose of these forums is community and to answer questions not necessarily get others experiences. The heart of the matter is you need to trust your dr not internet strangers for what to be concerned with. If you solely go off others experiences you are likely to have much more anxiety. Or false comfort if everyone says oh that's fine but for your case maybe it isn't. That is why is far more important to talk to your dr about your concerns as they can give you much more information on your specific case. Most of us have gone through a lot to get here so please don't discount advice give simply because it wasn't just the answer you were looking for. Support doesn't mean sunshines and rainbows. Sometimes it honest answers that may not feel as warm and fuzzy but are better for you in the long run.
My son’s HR was super low and the Dr WAS concerned. If he said he isn’t concerned take comfort in that. There are enough unknowns we naturally worry about- try to trust the Dr and his expertise.
I'm 34 weeks with twins and have twice weekly non stress tests. Monday my baby girls hear rate was 200 to 210 for parts of the test. They were not concerned because the heart rate came down. If they aren't concerned at that level then 185 sounds fine. She averages 150.

**Lurking** When I was pregnant with DS, my OB was located right next to a Starbucks so occasionally I'd grab myself a frap or white chocolate mocha before my appointments. The appointments when I had my Starbucks, DS's HR would typically be higher. I asked the nurse about it one day and she said if you drink/eat something sugary or caffeinated, this could possibly cause not only your HR to increase, but the baby's as well. Not sure if this is true so take it or leave it
118 first ultrasound, 129 second, 133 third and 174 today. Doctor said all numbers were perfect and appropriate for gestational age. If doctor isn’t worried, don’t worry! Sounds like a perfectly healthy number!

@knottief39489a39e83a2b1 I hate reviving old threads, but my son's HR was about 80 at 6+5 and he's now a healthy 6 month old. I thought that it being low was a bad sign, but my RE said that just seeing a heartbeat that early is great. I've also heard that a lot of practitioners look for a heart beat, but don't record a heart rate that early because it can be so erratic without there being a problem which just stresses mom out unnecessarily.
First ultrasound at 6.1 weeks was 98 and a week later heartbeat was 117 also good but baby measuring a little small. I have another ultrasound in a week!
