Due date: 3-16 1. Next appt not until 27th. 2. Rant: I hate the commercial holiday. I love the lights, the music, I can't stand shopping for people (especially when they buy what they want for themselves). I can't stand how the stores are packed. I just would rather spend time with family. 3. Feeling okay. Stressed with the time of year, but nothing new on the pregnancy front. 4. GTKY: $500 would go towards bills and Christmas gifts. I've been procrastinating and still haven't bought most gifts yet.
@kenneylynn3 I feel you on getting stressed this time of year. I love it and am stressed by it at the same time! Glad to hear you’re feeling ok - hopefully the nausea is going or gone!
Due date: 3/15 (Dr says 3/12)
Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment in two weeks w/ glucose test.
Rants/Raves?: Rant: The whole family has a chest cold right now and I’m so over coughing... My poor boy was coughing for 20-30 minutes in the middle of the night, last night.
Rave/rant: I can’t believe it’s already December and I’m so excited about all the fun parties/family gatherings. Desperately hoping we’re actually healthy for all of them (I swear we’ve had to miss at least one event every year since DS was born)!
How are you feeling?: Starting to feel big... some pelvic achiness, some RLP, and feeling a little compressed (best way to describe it) if I’m not using good posture.
GTKY: If your company surprised you with a $500 Christmas bonus, what would you spend it on? Would probably just put it towards Christmas... We have 7 nieces and nephews and Christmas adds up!
Any appointments? Questions?: Next one is right after Christmas, I'll try to bundle it with the glucose test to avoid an extra trip.
Rants/Raves?: Rant: I really wish baby arrival times were more predictable! We need to plan for the dates my MIL can come and help, and she has only 2 weeks of vacation and flying internationally We mostly need someone to take care of DS while I'm in labor, and we have no other option at the moment, and that keeps me awake at night.
Rave: I'm really loving this time of the year, there are so many fun events I can take DS to during weekends and with him being now older he can actually partake in them and enjoy it.
How are you feeling?: Still having weird pain/tightening on the sides of the belly late in the evening, and I'm not convinced it's BH. Never had anything like that with DS (well, I didn't have ANY pain or contractions with DS at all up until labor).
GTKY: If your company surprised you with a $500 Christmas bonus, what would you spend it on? Boring: car payment. We had to get a new car suddenly 2 months back when DH's car with only 60k miles developed an engine problem.
@lelkcot if we're experiencing the same thing, then i think "compressed" is exactly the right word. I tried to bend over to adjust my pants and OOF. no good.
Due date: 3/12
Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is my glucose test on the 19th. Yay.
Rants/Raves?: So I found out last night my sister is pregnant. We are not close AT ALL and she's due at the end of July and has started telling people already, and one of our mutual friends insinuated that it's because she doesn't like the attention I'm getting for being pregnant. To each your own on the telling people front, but that's a really stupid reason to spill the beans. And doesn't do anything to improve our relationship! I've never been more glad to live on the other side of the country.
How are you feeling?: Compressed! LOL. And tired. Just getting over a nasty cold but trying not to let it get the best of me (mentally, if not physically).
GTKY: If your company surprised you with a $500 Christmas bonus, what would you spend it on? Bills. So many bills.
Going for my glucose test today. Think happy thoughts for me!
Rants/Raves?:
Rant- our washing machine decided to start making some really terrible noises on Tuesday night while DH was washing work clothes and I was making dinner. So, I dropped DH at the laundromat with his clothes, I came home and finished up cooking, and then we enjoyed a super romantic chicken pot pie dinner at the laundromat
Rave- I called my very handy dad, who was able to come up yesterday and help DH fix it. So thankful that all it took was a $16 belt and not $1200 for a new unit. Again, my dad is superman in just about any crisis
Also Rave- we are nearly done with our Christmas shopping, and it is largely in thanks to DH taking a lot of initiative on his family's gifts this year, and I am just so grateful to have a little less to worry about heading into my finals week for grad school!
How are you feeling?:
Huge. Otherwise not bad. Having an increasingly hard time sleeping on my sides because of my arms falling asleep.
Also feeling a tad bit overwhelmed- DH and I went to a breastfeeding class that a friend of mine from work had highly recommended. The lactation consultant who led it gave us a ton of great information, but I feel like she really confused me about how to get into a pumping routine when it's time to get back to work...
GTKY: If your company surprised you with a $500 Christmas bonus, what would you spend it on?
We would spend it on a weekend getaway for DH and I. We're going on a little NYE cabin trip with some friends, but I would love to plan something just for us, but time and $$ just aren't in the cards for us at the moment.
Thanks for the happy thoughts, @Kenneylynn3 Got my results this morning and passed with flying colors. I am so relieved! I was irrationally worried about having GD
@lucysmom2016 I was too. Especially since I went in for my 24 week appt and she was like if you want you can do it today. I had toast for breakfast. Glad you passed!
