1. 25w4d 2. Physically, the same. Still sick someday. Mentally: I have been going kick counts and so I'm doing okay, but if I haven't felt lo in awhile (probably sleeping) I start to get nervous and try to do another set of counts. 3. Next appt is on the 26th and 27th. 4. I invited mil to my next appt as she has the day off. DW and my mom are already going as it is a growth scan. I'm already having reservations about inviting her. She said she has my nieces that day and asked if they could come (9 and 6). I wouldn't mind, because I think they'd love to see lo. 9 yo felt the baby kick last week! It would be really be crowded and it's a 1 hour drive to the Dr. Plus the last scan (echo) she went to she asked the tech for a quick look between the legs, even though we're team green. Obviously the tech didn't oblige, but at the growth scan they measure the femur and tell us to look away, which I'm sure she would not. Sorry for the novel. GTKY: I have a lullaby CD, but mostly whatever I'm listening too or me singing to them. Right now lo seems to enjoy upbeat music (not my usual taste).
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? I feel about as well as any 27 week pregnant person can feel. Similar to my one week post, but I pulled an ab trying to roll over in bed the other night, and last night heartburn woke me out of a dead sleep.
3. Any appt updates? Yes! I had my early 28 week appointment yesterday. They did an ultrasound to check on my placenta previa and my placenta moved! No more previa! I am off of restriction, and VBAC is back on the table, which I am thrilled over. I also had my glucose test, which I passed, so good news all around.
4. Rants/raves/questions: Rave: yeahhh for being off of modified bed rest! Rant: its ballet night and I will lose my mind if I get there early to find the only semi-comfy spot to watch my girls and the same two moms (who don't even watch their kids) decide to stand riiiiight in front of me and chat through the whole class again like last week.
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? Um, the same music I listen to. I really don't adjust anything other than I make sure I'm not listening to the explicit versions of any songs with the kiddos in the car. Other than one incident when my girls were 3 and they decided to sing loudly at the pool about sippin on gin and juice, I haven't had any problems.
@BuckeyeNut05 we are guilty of musical slip ups. I think it happens. If that’s the worse that happens then I’d say it’s a parenting win.
1. How many weeks are you? - 26 Weeks 3 Days
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? - I am doing better this week. Hormones are a funny thing with the ups and downs you go through. My OB asked if I wanted to start seeing her weekly after my next MFM appt, so my weekly visits will be up to me. She said if my anxiety gets bad she’ll get me and we’ll monitor baby. I’m so grateful for her understanding.
3. Any appt updates? - Next appt is a growth scan on the 19. I will be 28 Weeks .
4. Rants/raves/questions - It’s still hard to believe my pregnancy has made it this far. It feels so surreal and wonderful.
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? - Same stuff I listen to with some movie sound tracks added in.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@bdesterhouse that's awesome that your OB is so flexible and understanding. Hopefully that alone will help ease some of the anxiety! Fingers crossed for a great growth scan on the 19th!
@kenneylynn3 hopefully MiL will behave herself at the growth scan. I don’t understand why some family members feel like they have s right to information that you are specifically choosing not to get.
@BuckeyeNut05 yay for the great update and getting off movement restrictions!
@bdesterhouse that’s awesome that your OB is so understanding.
1. How far along are you? 25+6
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically I’m feeling big. Otherwise it’s just normal discomforts, rlp, some pelvic pain. Mentally, feeling movement helps a ton, but every time she’s still for a longer stretch I get worried. I feel like her movements have been a little more restrained in the last day or so and it has me kind of worried, I have an anterior placenta so I’m trying to remind myself it could likely be a positioning thing.
3. Any appt updates? 28 week appointment and glucose test the week before Christmas - hoping to pass the glucose test the first time and not have to deal with the 3-hour this time.
4. Rants/raves/questions? DS has bronchitis and that’s lead to cruddy sleep for everyone the past few days. He’s on antibiotics and mucinex now (with Dr and pharmacists approval as he’s a couple months under the label age for mucinex) and we already had a slightly better night last night, so crossing everything that this gets him feeling better. I’m not completely convinced the antibiotics were necessary, but also disinclined to argue with the doctor.
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? We play a variety for DS: classical, smooth jazz, 80’s, country, classic rock. I just try and make sure it’s the “clean” version, but we aim for variety.
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically - OK. I woke up today feeling like I am coming down with a cold. Mentally - Good! I still have moment where I imagine the worst happening, but those are getting fewer and farther between.
3. Any appt updates? Just had my 24 week today. Baby was measuring right on track and got to hear a strong HB.
4. Rants/raves/questions - Rant: Possibly getting sick. 😷 Rave: I have the afternoon off for my appt. anyway, so now I get to rest.
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? If it’s up to me, 90’s hip hop and rock. If it’s up to my husband - old school/outlaw country. He could be a very eclectic kid when it comes to music.
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically - trying to remain positive. Between now and 28 weeks is when we had our daughter still born. I want this week to go so quickly.
3. Any appt updates? Just had a growth scan Thursday and my amniotic fluid was "generous" and baby's belly was big but not so big yet to worry. So needless to say, I'm worried. Have a bpp on the 19th. I've always gotten the "everything looks good" comment so I'm trying to adjust to this. We are measuring almost two weeks ahead and I passed my glucose test.
4. Rants/raves/questions - if anyone has experience on the above please share!
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? What I listen to now for sure. I like calming music and movie soundtracks so a bit all over the place. We are a music family so it's almost always on!
@3rdtime_charmed thanks 😊 I've got a busy week outside of work but this is a slower time at work so I'm trying to think of things to do during work hours to keep me sane!
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Not bad mentally, this baby loves to kick all the time which is reassuring. Physically I definitely have good days and bad days. Lately I've had a lot of sciatic pain and some days of just feeling run down/gross.
3. Any appt updates? Tuesday I have a late 24 week checkup plus glucose test.
4. Rants/raves/questions. DH and I live in the part of the southeast that just got hit by this giant snowstorm. We had over a foot of snow today! It's pretty but I'm worried about driving into work tomorrow, if we don't close. I'm not gonna risk anything and will use a vacation day if I have to, though.
5. GTKY- what sort of music will you play for your LO? Probably a little bit of everything!
@Kenneylynn3 Sorry your MIL is still being difficult, I hope she'll be on good behavior at your growth scan.
@BuckeyeNut05 Yeah!! No more previa and no more bed rest!
@bdesterhouse Glad you have an understanding OB and I hope you've continued to have a good week
@oneday2019 Hopefully this week will go by quickly for you. Any chance you can bring some good reading material in to work? I've brought in books when we had slow times before and just shut my office door so no one would know I wasn't doing real work lol.
Re: PGAL check in 12/5-12/11
