Mine recently was The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole. I've always sung the line, "And every mother's child is gonna SMILE (spy) to see if reindeer really know how to fly." No idea why, but that's what I always heard until yesterday on the radio 🤦
In fifth grade I felt so stupid when I thought the Stabbing Westward song "Shame" said, "How can I have sex without you?" The line is, "How can I exist without you?" Oops.
When I was a kid, I thought the song "Shameless" by Garth Books was "Shaving"--like every time he sings "Shameless" I heard "Shaving" I still can hear what I must've been hearing when the song comes on!
"Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift your open hand Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance Silvermoon's sparkling So kiss me"
I would replace "Kiss Me" with "Get a Swing" in middle school. I don't know why, it's just what I heard. I also though there was a man named Jason Waterfalls, who needed to stick to the rivers and lakes that he was used to.

Re: GTKY Tuesday 12/4
It’s actually fish filet. My husband corrected me some time last year.
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance
Silvermoon's sparkling
So kiss me"
