How's the nursery / baby items coming along? We haven’t done nearly as much as I think we should have. We have mostly been cleaning things out and purging stuff to make room for baby things. Baby’s room is still the guest room at this point.

How are you feeling this week? Tired, achey hips, starting to misjudge how much space I need to squeeze through with my new belly.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: Had a great holiday week last week! Took the whole week off work and enjoyed spending time with my little family.

Any upcoming appointments? None for a couple weeks.

How's the nursery / baby items coming along? We have a crib not yet put together and are prepping to put some new closet doors in but likely won't have that done for another couple weeks.
ETA: We did get a ton of hand me down clothes from a cousin and went through them all to take out the ones that were overworn or completely the wrong season for the size. 15 large totes later, they are all organized by size but could use a washing.

How are you feeling this week? Tired. And I have a monstrous appetite!!! I'm also having issues judging how much extra room I need to get through spaces. Haha

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave.... I have been having the absolute worst time sleeping lately. Well while we were at the grocery store the other day I found this spice packet that was for hot buttered rum, but it also had a hot buttered milk option on the back. I've never had hot butter rum but thought I'd like to try the milk thing. So I got some and have had it for the last two nights... I LOVE IT! And I'm sleeping SOOO well!!! I have heard for years that warm milk is supposed to help you sleep but I could never bring myself to drink just plain warm milk. But with this spice packet in it, I really like it!

Any upcoming appointments? Wednesday next week. My blood pressure has been creeping up so I guess I'm now in the every two week time frame. I can't really complain. Other than the achiness, I've had a really good pregnancy.

How's the nursery / baby items coming along? We are still sleeping in what will be the nursery (long story) We have to recarpet the room that will be ours and then we can start setting up the nursery. We have a crib and a couple fo other small supplies. But not much. Our shower is in three weeks so after that we'll see what else we need and start getting things together.

How are you feeling this week? Feeling pretty good.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Mom moves into her new house right down the road, so I'm excited to have family close by us. Rant: The glider we want all the sudden is out of stock everywhere, so may need to rethink that now.
Any upcoming appointments? OB Friday and hospital open house on Saturday.
How's the nursery / baby items coming along? It's coming along well. Crib and dresser done, finally got a mattress this weekend and got my flower thing for above the crib hung. Just waiting on the baby's name for that to come in so can paint it. Then have shelves, etc we need to hang.

@mayoduck LOL me too!! Idk how many times I've tried to squeeze thru places not even thinking I couldn't!
@valentynsi That butter rum milk drink sounds delightful! I also have many nights where sleeping isn't good, so may need to check that out.

How are you feeling this week? Same as everyone else! Achey and feeling big, uncomfortable, and kind of awkward in my body.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I think I've done most of my ranting elsewhere haha. Rave is that I feel like I finally got decent sleep the last two nights and, for some reason, was not tossing and turning nearly as much as I have been.

Any upcoming appointments? Glucose test/midwife appointment next week. Also doing a hospital tour on Saturday!

How's the nursery / baby items coming along? I think we finally figured out the heating situation in this old house so it's warmer in the nursery (yay!) and my partner finally has some time to fix up the room. I'm hoping in the next week we can fix holes in the plaster and throw some fresh paint on the walls. We have a crib and some other nursery items ready to go and plan on getting some other furniture (changing table, chair) for cheap on Craigslist or something.

The annoying thing is that there is chipping paint on the windowsills and there's likely a layer of lead paint underneath several coats of newer paint so a lot of care needs to be taken to deal with it safely. My partner is in the trades and knows how to do this safely but it just takes a long time and we're going to need to take care of most of the windowsills and baseboards in the house before the kid comes and starts putting everything in his mouth. Blah. Fortunately I'm with someone who knows what they're doing or this would cost a lot of money!

How are you feeling this week? Pretty good! A little tired and having a hard time falling a sleep. Sometimes giant, sometimes not giant, haha.

Rants/Raves/Questions? It's my birthday today! Family dinner tomorrow and a pretty nice day today with some errands and a light work load

Any upcoming appointments? Had a regular check up on Tuesday with my glucose test (I passed!! Just in time for birthday treats!)

How's the nursery / baby items coming along? I have 2 coats of paint down, but I want to fix/blend better between the edges where I used a brush and where that meets where I used a roller. One of my errands today was getting a different brush so I will probably do that tomorrow. I also picked up samples of other paints to start a mural on one wall - - I'm excited about it but I want to finish the base paint first since it is less fun. As for items, I have a mat for tummy time/under a high chair when baby is old enough, 2 bibs and 3-4 onesies. I ordered (but haven't received yet) a diaper bag, 2 changing mats, a wrap for baby wearing, 4 different swaddles (2 each of 2 different brands) and some waterproof smaller bags to help keep the diaper bag clean and organized. My friend got me a diy hanging mobile that I'm hoping to use as a baby shower activity so I don't have to make it all myself. My DH and dad are making me a glider and they have the wood and pattern, but have only barely started (I'm trying not to be skeptical that they will finish it in time). I'm hoping to be gifted a crib, car seat and stroller soon, maybe for the holidays! Sooooo many things!

@abbykwail Congrats on passing your glucose test! I think mine is right after xmas and so I cringe thinking how I need to stay off sweets lol

Thank you!! If it helps, I only stayed off sweets the day of and after dinner the night before! Everyone is different, obviously, but here is what I did!

My appt was at 4:45 pm, so I drank it at 4 (my doc gives it to you the appt before) and I didn't snack at all after a 2 pm lunch of eggs and cheese. I had a normal breakfast of granola and yogurt and a cup of tea with milk and a spoonful of honey.

@abbykwail Thanks!! I did get the drink today. Luckily, going in the morning so will stick to no sugary stuff the day before and day of. FX it does the trick! lol

Any upcoming appointments? The 6th will be 24weeks and get to check on bump again! First appt since my ultrasound a month ago

@Bride2b1213 I'm in heartburn misery with you!! I have found that certain foods aka dark choc almonds will trigger mine asap! But still get it no matter how "good" I think I'm eating.

Count me in for the heart burn, especially if I have too much sugar!! But I told my acupuncturist at my appointment on Friday and I haven't had any since, without any medication or diet changes. (I am also an acupuncturist so if any of you ladies want help finding one, DM me and I can look through my alumni network for you!)
