    1. Next appt is Friday. Hoping to get my long list of questions answered. Here's to hoping I don't forget my notebook. Questions: Anyone who's having a baby shower, when is it happening?

    2. Rants/Raves: Rant: had a strange dream last night. I was falling asleep in my dream while I was trying to "bar." I was a barista 3.5 years ago. I woke up more exhausted than I went to sleep.

    3. Feeling the same.

    4. I bought some stuff from bath and body works for my mom and sil. Plan on getting a few more Christmas gifts today off amazon.

    @Kenneylynn3 dreams like that are the worst! Who wants to wake up sleepy? I hope tonight is more restful.

    Any appointments? Questions?: Had my 24 week check-up this morning, all good.

    Rants/Raves?: My doctor showed up 45 minutes late for an 8 am appointment (I was supposed to be her first of the day and I thought I'd get in and out quickly.  Nope!).  

    How are you feeling?: Still battling the heartburn and nausea that follows. Otherwise ok.

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping? We're stocking up on stuff for the new house.  Replaced some dishes, got a couple pieces of furniture. It's sort of nice that the moving coincided with these discounts, but also not a time of year I like to be spending so much money!

    @kenneylynn3 since this is #2 I don’t think we’re having any showers - but with DS, he was due mid-April and my showers were in February & March.

    @dtspmama I get so frustrated when drs are late and you know you’re the first appointment of the day! Sorry!

    Due date: 3/15 (Dr says 3/12)

    Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is the week before Christmas (and includes my glucose test which I am so not looking forward to)

    Rants/Raves?: Rave: we had some great family time over the past week, loved getting to visit with everyone. Rant: DS has been really testing limits/being particularly uncooperative recently and I’m really struggling. Not helping that DH keeps asking me what’s wrong or why I’m being grumpy recently... 

    How are you feeling?: Starting to feel big... some pelvic achiness, some RLP, and full after meals for way longer than normal.

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping? Yep, lots of online shopping for me in the last week! Probably 1/2 done with Christmas shopping at this point!

    @Kenneylynn3 our baby shower will be 1/19. I figure that will give us time to buy what we still need and get the nursery set.

    Any appointments? Questions?: next appointment is 12/5 for an ultrasound to check fetal growth due to marginal chord insertion 

    Rants/Raves?: Rant : I've been so irritable at work. And lazy. Don't want to mess up my opportunity for a raise so just trying to power through and listen to upbeat music to motivate me.

    @lelkcot yes to feeling big. Having trouble bending over.

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping? Yes! We got the Chicco 6 in 1 stroller $200 off!! Woot!

    Any appointments? Questions?: Tomorrow :smile: Can't wait! I'll ask the midwife for a referral to prenatal massage, my back really needs some TLC.

    Rants/Raves?: @govanalyst86 - I've been really slacking at work these days, and it doesn't help that I'm involved in two projects without a well-defined scope and set of tasks. There is a small chance of a promotion in February, so I also don't want to mess it up. 

    How are you feeling?: Feeling big and looking big. In fact, I got asked yesterday by a colleague when does my leave start... I know that my uterus is more stretched as a STM, but I look like I'm in the middle of the 3rd trimester. I'll ask my midwife tomorrow if the measurements are still within the norm, she should know better.

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping? A bit here and there. Got some nice tummy butter and oil from The Spoiled Mama, plus a few things from Target. DH went to IKEA to get a twin bed for our son - he's in a toddler bed now, but we need the mattress for the crib.

    First week of December, glucose test. Still feeling anxious about it.

    Rants/Raves?: 

    Rant: Got a group text from DH's stepmom this morning, telling me what day they're throwing me a baby shower. Yes, you read that right- telling me. Background: my mom and DH's mom don't get along. At all. Drama ensued because my mom wanted to have the shower at her house, and DH's family rebutted that his mom probably wouldn't come, so it should be at his stepmom & dads house. In all of their drama, no one has bothered to ask what I would want....or when...so I'm just really frustrated and feeling far from excited about the shower...probably being [hormonally] oversensitive, but I kinda want to just skip the whole darn thing 

    How are you feeling?: 

    Crabby. 

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping?

    Not really, stopped at Target on my way home from work on Thanksgiving and got a carseat 50% off, but that was the extent of my black Friday shopping

    @lucysmom2016 sorry to hear about that whole shower fiasco. My mom and mil are cohosting and really bad at communicating with each other, so I'm the go-between. It doesn't bug me as much as it bugs DW, but it has definitely caused some issues and DW said yesterday that we don't need a baby shower. She wants to skip it all. So I know where you're coming from. I hope it gets better for you.

    @lucysmom2016 and @Kenneylynn3 it sucks that you're both dealing with your share of baby shower drama; this is supposed to be an exciting time, not a dramatic one!  FX that your families pull it together to make the day special for you both - on YOUR terms, instead of theirs!

    @lucysmom2016 I had similar issues with the baby shower. My mom didnt want it to be a joint shower with my in laws because they dropped the ball for my wedding shower and my mom didnt like that at all. Everyone flipped out and eventually I had to beg my mom to throw a joint shower. I just couldn't take the drama anymore!

    @Kenneylynn3 I wanted my baby shower to be the first week of December-ish but "no one could make that happen" with christmas parties and such (????). It got pushed back to 1/26.

    Rants/Raves?: Loving how active baby has been the past few weeks!

    How are you feeling?: Starting to have trouble sleeping, back pain. Definitely feel like my belly is starting to limit my range of motion/movements and causing shortness of breath!

    GTKY: Did you / are you doing any Black Friday, small business Saturday or cyber Monday shopping? I shopped on Etsy for Christmas and got some stuff for the nursery. Target deals online helped with the nursery too! Amazon is usually my go to for Christmas stuff too :)

    Thanks for the support, gals. I called my dad (the voice of reason in every and all family drama) and he and I decided that I call DH's stepmom and ask her to have the shower at a neutral location and have all 3 moms involved in planning (which if anyone had bothered asking, was what I would have wanted from the start). She was receptive to the conversation, and then DH called to tell his parents how excited he was about the baby shower plans, which I think went a long way to smooth over any ruffled feathers. She texted me this morning to let me know they had decided on a venue  :) Thankful for having 2 great men in my life to support me <3

    @lucysmom2016 @Kenneylynn3 I was blessed with some baby shower drama this week. When I told my sister a friend of mine would host the shower, she burst into tears. Apparently this had been really important to her. I had no idea and feel terrible. I apologized and now I'm questioning how to make amends. Let her throw another shower for just family?  Just don't worry about it and wait for her to work through the emotions? 

    Anyways just thought I'd share. I thought this was just a simple party but drama lurks.

    @govanalyst86 another shower might not be such a bad idea. Or if the guestlists would be too small, maybe she can help your friend with that one? Sorry, it's no fun.
