@misscheapandchic I'm at 35 weeks today too! I hope your BP stays within range so you can make it to your induction date.

1) How far along are you? 35 weeks today!

2) Any appointment updates? Nothing until next Monday, when I start my weekly OB appointments. Next Thursday is my growth scan.

3) Rants/Raves/Questions/DearDiary? Feeling lazy AF, but definitely need to get stuff done! How is Thanksgiving in 3 days!?

4) GTKY: What are you waiting to buy on Black Friday / Small Business Saturday / Cyber Monday this year? An oven! We were going to buy it on Veteran's day, but there was no sale

I also might be getting a new phone, and if I'm REALLY lucky, a real camera!

Remaining Christmas gifts and baby items! I don't think we have plans to look for anything for ourselves this year just in an attempt to save money for my leave

Not yet. Have my 38w appt tomorrow. They said by 39 we could start discussing induction if I wanted to I'm sure they'll bring it up tomorrow. I'm still on the fence on if I want to or not.

3) Rants/Raves/Questions/DearDiary?
Baby girl officially dropped by Sunday morning and I was excited when it came with contractions. Then it all tapered off and I've had 2 contractions in 2 days. I'm so ready!

H is getting a Nintendo Switch so I'll keep an eye out for that and then the kids carseats/harness boosters.

R/R/DD: unorganized contractions aren’t letting me get rest the last couple nights (especially last night)- they have dissipated today. Just uncomfortable yet sad at the same time that this pregnancy is almost over. I sound ridiculous I know

GTKY: purchasing? I need to see if Target is doing a discount on gift cards this year. If so I’ll buy as much as allowed for teacher gifts. I might peruse cyber Monday. I don’t want anything, but it would be good for gifts.

@CecilB93 We’re not buying anything big for each other this year either, too busy thinking about babe, and DH getting work done with said baby in the house.
@MDKC14 I’m on Team Induction! I’m a FTM wanting a due date induction at 40 weeks for a few reasons - I’m a medium control freak and scheduling baby day is good for us (and DH’s limited leave), the increased risk of stillbirth after 40 weeks freaks me out, I want to get baby out before the placenta craps out, and finally - I like the date.
@morgantu We want to get wifi frames for our families too! It won’t be this year though, because we need to also arrange set-up help since we’re in different states (and I haven’t done it yet).
@Activebaby Discounted gift cards is a great idea in general! I just might steal that idea for future teachers.

Routine weekly appointment tomorrow morning. Hardest part will be waking up and eating/drinking before the appointment. But hey, Group B Strep came back negative, so that's nice.

Dear Diary, I still need to schedule our hospital tour, and dog washes, and my car can use a detail before I install my car seat. Ugh. Maybe I do just need to force myself into a morning person. Boo.

4) GTKY: What are you waiting to buy on Black Friday / Small Business Saturday / Cyber Monday this year?
Just some custom canvases! I am a big ol' hoe for canvas art (it's so easy to move with) and my favorite places always have great deals this weekend so I'm excited to add to our collection. I'll keep my eyes peeled on baby things though, just for good measure. Oh, and maybe some stocking stuffers for family.

@echo-charlietango I only hesitate because they swept my membranes with my second and that labor and delivery went so different than my first. It was one complication after another, more medical intervention than I wanted, super stressful and almost ended in an emergency c-section. It's hard not to think that maybe had we waited it could have been better, but pregnancy and labor is crazy like that. You just never know what could happen or why. I am having more activity with contractions and everything this go round (like my first) than I did with my second which makes me think my body is more ready than last time.
Gah! I don't know. I suck at decision making.

@scaredunprepared One of the things I really wanted for my birthday/Christmas the year I was pregnant with DS was a real camera. I got it and have only used it a handful of times. I need to remember to use it more often, but my phone is just so much easier to grab!

@echo-charlietango Yay for negative GBS test!

Re induction: My midwife office doesn't start to discuss induction until I've reached 40 weeks. They won't let me go two weeks overdue, they usually only like people to go 41.5 weeks.

Nope. My next appointment is on Tuesday. We'll just be doing the usual listening to the heartbeat and measuring the belly. I'm going to be 35w3d so I'm not sure if they'll do the GBS swab at that appointment or if they will wait until 37 weeks.

3) Rants/Raves/Questions/DearDiary?

Raves: I am super excited for Thanksgiving food tomorrow!! I plan to make cinnamon rolls tonight and refrigerate them overnight. I'll make them in the morning for breakfast. I made homemade cinnamon rolls last Thanksgiving and Christmas morning as well. I think It will be a tradition.

Another rave, my MIL found us a dresser for baby girl's room! One less thing we have to buy, it's white so it doesn't match the furniture in the room, which sucks. DH says he is not sanding it so I can paint it because it would take far too long and he's not letting me sand it. Ugh. I guess this was kinda a rant and a rave. lol

I plan to buy the rest of the things we need for the baby, which is a lot.

@AdorkablePixie I'm starting to wonder if I'll actually use the camera, or if it's just better to invest in a phone with a really high quality camera with portrait mode. Cinnamon rolls as a tradition sound AMAZING and I might just need to start that as our tradition too

As for matching furniture, i was hoping for all white furniture, but we were gifted an espresso brown crib, and had a black dresser, then I found a super cheap cherry glider.... so that idea went out the window. But the nursery is still cute and the mismatched look is growing on me!

2) Any appointment updates? At appointment 2 weeks ago we had growth scan and baby was measuring 3 weeks ahead at 7lbs9ozs! Went to appointment yesterday and 1cm dilated and by fundal height belly is 4 weeks ahead now! We are doing another growth check next week and already on the schedule to be induced at 39w. OB said based on ultrasound next week we might go ahead and induce a few days before 39w!

3) Rants/Raves/Questions/DearDiary? So tired from not being able to get comfortable at night. Still working 40 hours a week and its getting harder and harder. Next Friday will be my last day since induction date is set for Dec 3rd!

@echo-charlietango Yes, you should get an auto detail before baby arrives. I just picked my car up yesterday from a detail and it’s beautiful! Can’t even tell I have a 2 1/2 year old! The spilled milk, crushed up Cheerios and general “toddler odors” are gone (at least for now). I needed a fresh start before her sister arrives next month!

1) How far along are you? 35 + 3–due the day after xmas

2) Any appointment updates? No but last one my OB was pressuring me to schedule an induction only due to age (38–big deal!). My pregnancy has been totally healthy. I want baby #2 to come on her own and I know induction can make L&D last longer and be more painful potentially. Plus I have so much to do at work before I go on leave!

3) Rants/Raves/Questions/DearDiary? My staff surprised me w/baby shower themed staff party—so kind!

I feel like im never going to get everything done before this little one arrives... tough to keep the hubby on task, and i dont have much steam to work on... especially trying to keep our 5 year old wrangled and happy through the process!

Xmas presents for extended family on cyber monday.. got all of our baby gear, and xmas done for us awhile back

My last appointment on 11/16 they did an ultrasound because they thought I was measuring small, turns out I'm measuring a week ahead so was told he could come between the 14th-20th my original due date is the 20th.

We pretty much have all our baby stuff, a few items but nothing really needed, my MIL was able to grab a crockpot for us that I wanted on black Friday.

@scaredunprepared The white dresser is definitely growing on me. I feel like it gives the room a touch of elegance.

@winterplumeria I feel like I still have so much to do before baby is here. It's like there is no time to focus on that with everything else going on. Thankfully the important stuff is done, mostly. We need to install the carseat base in the car and pack my hospital bag still, but I have time.

@Erinka I pulled out the carseat and the bases last night and realized DH set the stroller on top of the carseat and broke the plastic in the canopy part so now we can't use the canopy. I am not happy. I e-mailed Baby Trend but they no longer make the carseat, so I doubt there are replacement parts we can get.
