Trying to Get Pregnant

Poll: Recommend your fav hair straightener!

So, I'm on the lookout for a good hair straightener.  Right now I have two.  One is a conair and the other is Revlon.  Both don't seem to be cutting it.  I've heard good things about the Chi, but never tried it.  As you can see from my siggy pics, my hair is ridiculously curly, so straightening it is quite the lengthly affair.  If anyone has any good straighteners they would recommend, throw them out there!

  • Chi is good - used it for years.  Wait until you get a 20% off coupon at Ulta or something and then it will be cheaper.

Ditto chi.  Chi can work wonders - even for thick, curly hair!

  • Mine is by Babyliss and it's AMAZING. My grandmother is a hairdresser so I always get the best stuff!!! It is by far the best one I have ever owned and it's ceramic so it doesn't burn the hair.

  • Paul Mitchell 1.0 smoothing iron.

Wow, Kaymee, I was actually straightening my hair last night, with my very ,mediocre straightener, and I was thinking about posting this same question!  haha- great minds

Mine is a conair and I don't like it at all, my sister has a chi (really expensive but she found one on ebay) and swears by it, I've also heard really good things about ghd.

  • I have curly hair & I've NEVER found a straightener that works as well as a Chi.  I swear by Chis & highly recommend it!!

  • I have had two chis and loved them, until I got my Paul Mitchell.  There is no comparison.  I have almost kinky curly hair and it does the job in not time at all.  It is pricey, but worth it!
  • The best pair in the world is GHD (Good Hair Day) they are really expensive, but work brilliantly, no reironing your hair, one pass and it's totally straight and shiny!! I have horrible afro style hair....bad genes in the family give me mentally curly hair, but these straightners completely sort it out!!

  • My sister loves her CHI and has had it a few years now. I love it also, but I bought a generic type CHI at Sally Beuty Supply (GVP brand) and it works the same as my sisters CHI and it was $50 or so.

GHD is great if you have and extra $200 laying around. I got one for Christmas this year and it is the mac daddy of straighteners, but i never would have bought one with my own money.

I have my hair chemically relaxed and I still have to straighten it every now and then. I have a Chi but now I would like to try the Paul Michell.
