I asked DH if he wanted to feel a baby lump and I put his hand where baby's butt was pushing out pretty good. For some inexplicable reason, DH gave the baby butt a small push, and it sent wonderful little shockwaves of pain right into my groin.
I just ordered the iphone XR. I have only ever been a Samsung galaxy girl so this will be an interesting change! As long as I can figure out the camera by (baby) delivery day we are golden!!! The phone will be here next week!
@wnn1992 I hope you love your new phone! Loyal iPhone user here and I think you will
DH is playing a show tonight, so the pup and I are lying on the couch with a fire going and cheesy Christmas movies playing. All I want for dinner is eggnog and pumpkin pie. Totally healthy.
I decorated the house for Christmas yesterday. I only put out about half of what we have because I know I won’t want to put it away when I am 39 weeks!
Yesterday we went to a trampoline park with DD (she’s 2). I obviously can’t do the trampolines so DH had to take on that one while I watched...then we went to Pizza Ranch and had the buffet. Basically the ideal Saturday for someone who is 32 weeks pregnant.
Today is my birthday! I’m officially in my mid 30’s (yikes!). We got pizza last night and watched Aladdin. I also put up our Christmas tree, inside lights, and our stockings. That’s pretty much it this year since baby is due right after Christmas. Today, DH is prepping Baby’s room to paint this week.
We decorated a couple weeks ago for one big reason. Most of my decorations were my parents and since they're no longer with us, I like having their stuff out for longer than just the month of December. The nostalgia is comforting and Christmas is my favorite season anyway. So, today, DH helped me clean the house (he scrubbed the shower with bleach. Bless him!), DS vacuumed his room (he's 4 so....he did an ok job haha), we took the dogs to the groomer to be bathed, and I got a few errands done that we needed to do before Thanksgiving. DH works Monday this week, and took off Tuesday for DS's thanksgiving feast at preschool. I am super excited about it because the preschool parents are all super involved, in like, when there's an event EVERYBODY plus grandparents comes. Nobody shared that with us, and DH is the only one working and he's saving his days for when baby comes, so he isn't able to take off much. SO, having him at the preschool feast will be an exciting treat

DH and I went to a farmers market today that a coworker of mine runs and we found the best macaroni and cheese known to man. I literally teared up it was so delicious. It was the perfect blend of creamy, Smokey, cheesiness. My new mission in life is to figure out how to recreate it.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I told DH I wanted the baby’s room painted as my gift so he spent most of the day sanding and prepping. I made delicious homemade potato soup in my instant pot and had a cranberry mocktail. https://www.eatingonadime.com/instant-pot-loaded-baked-potato-soup-recipe/
I am totally checked out at work given it’s Thanksgiving week. My entire fam is coming from Illinois on Wednesday & DD is super excited to see her cousins and grandma.
Baby’s nursery is freshly painted and so is DD’s big girl room. I just keep watching for some black Friday deals on rugs for their rooms.
Also, I have changed my due date to early Jan so I can match completion discounts w black Friday deals. I wonder if I could add on completion discounts w what’s already on sale for black Friday/cyber Monday?! I registered everywhere - Target, BBB, Amazon, etc.
We hosted Friendsgiving last night and fried our turkey for the first time ever. DH is still alive and well thankfully and we’ll never go back as this fried turkey was one of the juiciest bird we’ve ever had (crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, lol).
@AliKay20 oh lawd yes I should get the nursery rug on black Friday/cyber Monday! Thank you for the idea! Rugs are so expensive but whatchya gonna do?
I am SO PROUD of myself. I prepped everything needed to make slow cooker beef stew last night & turned it on low before heading out the door this morning. So excited to come home to a house that smells like beefy heaven & zero cooking/mess making tonight. Oh and obviously French bread slathered in butter to dip. Is it 4 o'clock yet? Any weight-gaining fucks I had previously (already minimal) have flown out the window between my GTT coming back in the clear, holidays & just general third tri apathy. Yolo.
Going to try to keep the house extra clean this week because baby shower is on Saturday and I have some pretty crazy anxiety about all the shit we're about to get/bring home. I mean, I'm obviously super excited for it all but it's going to be a TON of stuff. Cleaned out LG's closet (of all my stuff) & gave two huge boxes of stuff we almost never use to Goodwill this weekend in anticipation of the onslaught of baby things. Bring it onnnnnnnn.
@AliKay20 omg fried turkey is the BEST!!! DH makes one every year since I’ve known him and it’s the best part of thanksgiving. Glad nobody was maimed while trying to cook it too. There can be a steep learning curve lol.

I looove deep fried turkeys but I'll never make one myself after watching our neighbors house go up in flames one Thanksgiving.
One of our fave bbq restaurants does smoked turkeys and they're sooo good! And they usually have smoked Turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving with this mouthwatering cranberry sauce.
I took this week off and we are trying to get everything done for the baby's room. I'm not due til 1/26, but work will be intense from now until maternity leave, so trying to get all the things done.
I also got all the xmas presents, stocking stuffers, and DD's birthday presents (Feb birthday) lined up.
I work at a university and we just got word that during the intersession our offices will close at 4pm instead of 5pm. So for however many days I'm here after 12/20 I get to work an hour less!
My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone) IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear! My parents will be visiting today - Thursday, and yesterday I reached the fuck it point of exhaustion and texted her just saying, “FYI, the apartment will not be clean.”

Nesting is so weird ya'll. I was practically asleep on the couch when all of a sudden, I jumped up and had to mop our floors and vacuum the stairs. Once my mom gets here, I'm planning on cleaning out our junk drawer/cabinet.
@MrsDho11 my parents were here last weekend and the house was a total mess! They say they don’t mind but my goodness we are normally fairly clean people but the last month not so much!!!!
@jgil85 I’m waiting for that nesting energy boost! I need it!
I told my mom I’d bring a salad and dinner rolls for Thanksgiving and now starting to freak out! Today ended up much busier at work than I anticipated so wasn’t able to sneak away to the grocery store- I’ll have to squeeze that in now tomorrow after getting my oil change and then to pack to go to my parents for Thanksgiving- ugh!!!
@jgil85 I really would love to nest right but I keep having too many BH to do much, so I have been doing a small portion of our house here and there. Resting when needed and getting back up to get things done. It's frustrating but it's only temporary as well.
I don’t see a relevant thread, so dropping this PSA here: Bed Bath & Beyond and Buy Buy Baby have 15% off on select Baby Jogger strollers and car seats until 12/2! And you can stack that with a 20% off a single item coupon! So my mom just got us the City Mini GT double for a little under $400 (pre-tax)! It’s normally $579.99!
