    Good morning ladies!

I don't have anything really new to report, just a waiting game right now. Almost everything from my blood work is in the normal range. Still waiting on a result related to my thyroid. We did the genetic screening and will have results if we're carriers of anything by the 29th. I'll be calling the RE next Monday to set up the appointment to develop a treatment plan.

QOTW: What is your dream job if all jobs paid the same? Probably something related to animals like rescue or a vet. Otherwise I would love to travel as my job.

@funkykey - need to know when your second beta is!!! All things crossed for you!!

@ChristenMA83 - when’s your transfer? Did those other two eggs fertilize? Hoping for a very smooth transfer and that the two week wait flies by and results in wonderful news!!

@inthewoods23 - ugh, waiting. I hope the rest of the week flies by and that you don’t have to wait long to see your RE for your treatment plan appointment!

@mirabelle33 - still been thinking of you! Hope life has been treating you well in general during this time.

AFM: DH is back safe and sound and AF showed up yesterday, so very happy to have life go back to normal and to start feeling productive again with beginning round 2 of Letrozole. I go back and forth with having high hopes that this little pill will do the trick and feeling like I’m just doing my time until I can move forward with a more intensive treatment. Either way, my RE gave me a refill for four more cycles (including this round). So I’ll be in “Letrozole Land” probably till March and then if this doesn’t work I’ll be going back to my RE to discuss what’s next.

QOTW: I actually really enjoy my job right now (I’m a social worker who works with people with disabilities), but it can get very stressful at times, so probably would open my own bakery (I love to bake!)

@sincethelastday you stole my QOTW answer.  I've always wanted to run a bakery...but not do any of the cleaning.

AFM: I'll be doing an FET, so transfer won't be until mid-December.  My clinic doesn't do fresh transfers.  The two stragglers did fertilize, so I ended up with 8 fertilized.  But as of yesterday (day 5) only one made it to freeze and there were still 3 they were watching for a potential day 6 freeze.  I'm waiting for that call still to find out how many blasts we have on ice.  I was pretty disappointed with yesterday's report but hoping for some good news today.
ETA: Just got the call from my clinic.  One more made it to freeze (so 2 total) and one is still under observation for a possible Day 7 freeze.  So better news today.

Hi everyone. we did embryo transfer on saturday 17th. so in 2ww now.
  • Options
@ChristenMA83 - happy to hear that you got one more to freeze (did that other one make it to Day 7 to freeze?). It sounds kind of frustrating having to wait until December for the FET, but maybe it’s a bit of a nice reprieve before the transfer?

@drewsdarlin - hope the 2WW goes by fast! Good luck!

@sincethelastday unfortunately #3 did not pull through, so we have 2 total on ice.

    Hey Guys!

@ChristenMA83 - thanks for getting us started this week! I'm sad that that third embie didn't make it, but happy for your two! I think the next one you transfer is going to take!!! I know, after going through one round of IVF that didn't work out, it can be really really hard to imagine that try #2 is going to do it, but it does! Keeping FX for you these next few weeks!!!

@drewsdarlin - nice! Do you think you will POAS before beta? When is your beta?

QOTW: I'd definitely run my own business. Right now, I'm too scared to take the leap, but I've promised myself that I will in a few years. I'm just scared that it will fail and that I will lose everything. So I guess if you could be guaranteed to make a living running your own business, I would do that now!

AFM: ** all kinds of trigger warnings **

Things are progressing well. Second beta came back and it was good. I had some spotting about an hour before they called, so I was freaking out. My number was pretty strong though (16,344), so that made me feel like the spotting was most likely just from the progesterone irritating my cervix a bit.

I have an appointment for an u/s the week after next, and then I'll "graduate" from my clinic not long after that. Do you mind if I hang out here until after the u/s?

    ** end TW **
Beta is 29th. I might POAS. was going to try and wait but want to be prepared.

@funkykey - oh, that is so beyond exciting!!!!! I’m so happy for you that this seems like it’s finally happening!! For sure stick around and hope the week flies by before your u/s!!

@funkykey Damn those are great numbers!! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your update and I’m so happy to hear it’s so good! I had some spotting in the first few weeks, which does freak you out. My nurse said it was fine as long as it wasn’t really heavy and I had no cramping with it—but she was also really understanding about my calling her with concerns (she said spotting is one of the things she hears the most) so if you ever get nervous I’m sure your nurse can talk you off the ledge, too. :-) Hooray and congratulations!!

@funkykey woot! Awesome betas! I know I felt 1000lbs was lifted off me after the first u/s (for me the wait from beta to u/s was even worse than the 2WW), so keeping you in my thoughts until then.

AFM: I somehow missed a dose of Femara this week, hoping that doesn’t mess too much up. Fertile week starts tomorrow, so not much going on right now.

QOTW: I would love to be an artist. I used to paint, write music (I was in a band in my 20s), and do graphic design. Getting to do any or all of those for a living without having to be a “business owner” would be awesome.

    Me: 39 SO: 36

Dx: low progesterone, possible DOR - officially "unexplained"

    TTC#1 since November 2015
    9/16/2016 IUI#1 - BFN
    10/12/2016 IUI#2 - BFN
    1/21/2017 Clomid/IUI#3 - BFN
    March 2017 IVF: BFP! (beta#1 191, beta#2 378!) - it's a boy! DS born 12/6/2017

    TTC #2 since July 2018
    May 2019 IVF #2: BFP! (beta#1 346, beta#2 646) - vanishing twin at 8 weeks. Baby B still going strong - due 2/8/20!
    Pregnancy Ticker

@PoeMasque - seems like you and I are in something of the same boat with where we’re at with the Femara. I’m taking my last pill tomorrow and then will be heading into fertile week territory. Good luck this cycle and hope you find that Femara works for you!
