R/R: I'm having trouble motivating myself to start working on report cards. I don't have a whole lot to do, but I it's tough to crawl out from my comfy blanket cocoon.
CS/Q: OPK was near-positive yesterday, today the control line and test line are barely visible. I remember this happening last cycle, so I'm not worried. I know O is coming within the next week. Just need my ovaries to get their ish together.
Month/Cycle: 17/16
CD: 15
WAYDTGKU: RE tests, OPKs, temping, HIO
R/R: 1 Thanksgiving down, 1 more to go tonight. I probably didn't sleep the best on the air mattress so I'm tired and would rather stay home than have to go out in this dreary Misty rain we're having. Temps drop tomorrow so lots of snow is in the forecast tomorrow! Also my last test result came back in the normal ranges so I'm happy about that and we should have the results for the genetic testing we opted for on Monday. Going to he an exciting week next week.
CS/Q: nothing exciting. How many of you actually do your weekend temps around the same time as your weekday temps? I get up around 5:30 for work but on weekends I don't wake up until 7:30. Should I keep the 5:30 alarm for the weekend so I don't have so many circle points on my chart?
ETA: well, good thing we left my parent's house this morning because we got a good, long nap in and finally POAS for my OPKs today. Turned out positive so there was plenty of time to BD before Thanksgiving with DH's family. Looks like I should O tomorrow or Monday. Kinda glad because the last cycle at 38 days felt like it took forever!

@emeraldduchess Hope you get the motivation you need to start those report cards! It’s so hard to be motivated some weekends when you’d just rather relax. FX for O very soon!
@inthewoods23 So glad your test results came back normal! Hope you enjoy your 2nd thanksgiving tonight. I hear you that sometimes when the weather is crappy I’d rather just stay inside and be cozy and warm. Re: temps I use Ava so I don’t worry too much about when I wake up. I just put the same time every day to avoid the open circles (unless I’m working nights then I leave them).

R/R: I have 3 days off which is much needed as work was very busy the last 2 days! Went for brunch with the girls this morning and had way too much coffee, so hopefully I will have a productive day. I plan to do a workout and then put up the Christmas tree. Then just going to relax with MH (and HIO). Tomorrow night is my SIL’s birthday party. We’ll just be doing appies and cake with the extended family.
CS/Q: Got my positive OPK yesterday, so it looks like I’m ovulating a bit early. Now time to SMEP it out.

R/R: well my husband is hunting again and I ovulate today or tomorrow and I'm pretty much just pouting at this point so I'll just leave it at that
CS/Q: I've researched and found a few different answers but how long does sperm generally live in the female reproductive tract? I've found anything from 3 to 7 days but it's so varied I was wondering if there's a generally accepted time frame around here?
@inthewoods23 I'm sorry about the air mattress! We ended up getting a hotel because I hate staying at other people's houses. Even my parents lol i just feel awkward.

R/R: I woke up with a cold and feeling pretty crappy.

R/R: got to hang out a lot with my mom today, which was great! We did a little too much shopping...they opened an LL Bean by us recently and I haven’t been since I was an adult. Now I want to live outside 🤣
rant- we’re going to have to leave pretty early tomorrow because of a winter storm coming in. Really hoping we don’t hit a ton of it on our way out and we get home at a reasonable time.
CS/Q: nothing to see here. Will start temping again on Monday.
@inthewoods23 air mattress sleeping is the worst. I hope you get some sleep soon. That’s great your test results came back normal and I hope your genetic testing goes well too!!! As for your temping question, to reduce stress I’ve been just using an online converter on the weekend and temp right when I wake up. Probably isn’t the best way to do it, but I got super stressed trying to get up at 5:30 to do it. Half the time I end up awake around that time anyway.
@misshelen86 yay for days off! enjoy your time with DH and relaxing.
@daisy0322 i’m not sure on your question. I usually err on the side of caution haha. If you Bd today you’ll definitely still have a chance! How long is he hunting for?
@kimmer1412 I would count it as a cycle, your body probably just needs to regulate after the IUD.
Edited because my fat fingers can’t type

CS/Q: nope

Its not actually that commonly used but because I won't ovulate without it apparently, it needs to be done.
@misshelen86 I hope you had a nice evening decorating and relaxing with your DH.
@b_1029 safe travels today!
@daisy0322 sorry your H is away hunting during O. -3 isn't horrible, though.
@littleredm enjoy your visit with your SIL and nephew.

CS/Q: I am running out of OPKs so I may pick up some at Dollar Tree tomorrow. Has anyone used those before?
Here's my chart. It's rockier than last cycle, so I don't really know what to think.
@kimmer1412 Hope you feel better soon. I’d count it as a cycle. I’m having the same issue with super light periods since stopping BC a few months ago.
@b_1029 Glad you got to enjoy some mom time, that is the best! Hope the storm holds off and you have safe travels home!
@littleredm I laughed so hard when I read your comment. Apples and coke?? That would be a really wild family party!! That sounds like a lot of work, glad you got through it all! Enjoy visiting with your family.
@kels0091 That sounds so painful! And right before Christmas?? Hope the pain isn’t too bad and FX it works!

@inthewoods23 Yay on the normal test results! Hope your 2nd thanksgiving went well and you were able to get some rest! I usually wake up because I have to pee and it’s like clockwork even on the weekends. But if I do sleep a little longer I personally think it’s fine if your had at least three hours of restful sleep.
@misshelen86 Hope you enjoy the party! Yay on being productive!
@daisy0322 Sorry YH will be gone for the prime days. Hopefully his hunting trip is successful! As for the sperm I’ve read it’s usually 24-48 hours but some can live up to a week!
@kimmer1412 I would note everything! Depending on your app you can track color, flow, and consistency. Hope you feel better!
@b_1029 Hope you had a safe trip home! That’s awesome you were able to spend some quality time with your mom! LL Bean is a cute store! I love the big boot in the front!
@littleredm That’s such a bummer about so much work! Enjoy your time with family!!!
