Placenta previa

Sorry I didnt know what thread to post on..
But I got the results from my ultrasound today and they said I have placenta previa where the placenta is covering the uterus. This causes high risk of bleeding and I would need a c section. I have to go back in a few weeks to see if it moves up. If not, they said I have to be on bed rest and stay pregnant as long as possible. I'm now on pelvic rest.
Has anyone else had experience with this? I dont know how big of a deal it is?

I was Dx around 13 weeks and I'm waiting for it to move up. 90% of the time it clears up. If it doesn't, yes you would need a CS, however, I haven't heard of bed rest for it. Pelvic rest and lifting/exercise work restrictions, yes, but not full bed rest.
Anecdotally, a friend of mine currently has placenta previa and is having her CS early next week. She's still at work this week.
