Can you hear your baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope?

Yesterday at 11 weeks pregnant, I used a stethoscope to try & hear the baby's heartbeat. I was able to for about 3 seconds! Then the baby moved & I could no longer hear the heartbeat. I suggest getting a stethoscope as it is such a comfort to hear that precious sound!

Sincerely,
Amanda

  • Surely no one actually WOULD take this seriously...?
  • Amanda, if you are an actual person, I hope you find help and healing for your mental health. I also find it highly offensive that you are posting things like this and about your 9 wk check up US and bloodwork being negative but raving that you are now 11 weeks pregnant. We have sadly had multiple losses within our group and others who are having enough anxiety without your nonsense.
I genuinely hope you get well mentally. That being said, you should kindly back off this board until you get yourself situated.

Unfortunately even if she gets blocked I have a feeling she will come back under another name.

QFP. And it’s definitely not possible to hear baby’s heartbeat with a stethoscope anytime in first trimester. In fact it’s even hard at full term. If it were that easy, the doctor would use that instead of a Doppler.
