@expandcontractI was at trunk or treat at my church, and my best friend’s brother, who happens to be super wild, ran at me and tried to karate kick me in the stomach. My best friend screamed not to do it, and he said “why are you pregnant?” obnoxiously loud, and I didn’t know what to say. That’s how my whole church family found out.

But also, I just don't want to be karate kicked in the stomach ever.
@fifthemperorofthesea Wat? How old is this person that their normal greeting is a karate kick to the stomach, but that they instantly understand that you're pregnant when told not to?
@DuchessOfCambridge I know, right? They only thing I can think of is that they might think I'm further along than I actually am. I've gained a whopping 15 pound in the last month so my manageable pooch is now huge.
@expandcontract I never lost my baby belly from DD and stopped working out after I got pregnant eat like shit. I’m only 11 weeks, but my in-laws can’t stop talking about how pregnant I look. I’m like “ummmm thanks?”. I mean 90% of its fat, but sure- we will go with I look very pregnant. I do wear maternity closthes to play up the bump, you know, so people don’t just think I’ve just gotten fat which is the actual reality.
So we told my parents today over Skype video. When I said my husband and I were starting a new adventure and were going to be parents, all we got is a very non emotional “When?” And we have the due date and they just nodded. Then I said something like “when I found out I was pregnant....” and that is when they lost it. Maybe they thought we were getting a pet initially as they didn’t think we wanted kids. It was great sharing the news with them
Apparently our great 11w2d appointment made DH want to tell everyone at his work about our LO. Love him but he can't keep a secret to save his life... We haven't told anyone in our extended family yet! 😖
@chloe97 i totally get how you feel. Since when is it okay to comment on hype pregnant someone looks?! It's always women, too. You'd think they'd know better.

My MIL commented my whole pregnancy with DD about how great I looked. I looked great b/c I wasn't gaining weight b/c I wasn't eating b/c I was severely depressed. So thanks? So glad I look great when I am struggling with suicide ideation and not sleeping. This time she's commenting about "how different I look this time." Like maybe, just shut up? I am fully aware that I have a lot of work to do when this baby is born and intend to deal with it then, but right now I am going to take my extreme hunter as a sign that I need to eat and feed this baby. It would be 1000 times less infuriating if the woman wasn't literally a 65-year-old anorexic. But she is. She eats like 700 calories a day and weighs about 120 lbs. It's gross.
@chloe97 awww man. I don't understand why mothers in law aren't nicer. They've been through all this, too. Today, a coworker of mine who is probably around my age and doesn't have kids of her own asked if Im pregnant. I answered yes and then she asked how far I am. I told her "almost 3 months." She seriously yelped, "3 months?! You look like you're 5 months!" Seriously, wtf is wrong with people? She doesn't know that the second time you pop faster AND that Im having complications. But even regardless, that's just not a nice thing to say to someone.
@expandcontract 100% agree. Don't ask and don't say anything about how big a woman is. Period. Because women are going to self-conscious if they aren't gaining enough weight too!
Finally announced the big news last night. I was super nervous to tell my parents. To my surprise my dad was happy for baby #3, my mom was liked, I knew it!! Your butt is growing lol
@brie_and_almonds sorry I haven’t been on I’ve been slacking lol. But he’s like 25! He’s just like a brother to me and super wild. If you knew him you’d understand lol
New mommy to be! EDD: 05/27/19 hoping for a girl!!!
I made this sign--I'm not exactly sure on how I'm going to use it. I definitely want to include our Christmas tree, maybe even us. We could try to hold our 3 cats but that probably would look like total chaos! Someone would be screaming, claws would be in the air but if I put their Christmas sweaters on they may be too pissed off to move.
@missy052819 I’d try putting the cats in their Christmas sweaters so maybe they would be still long enough for a picture! If they still didn’t cooperate, I’m sure it’d be a cute picture regardless!
@eatinwatermelonseeds@sleepy33@megsb615 every year I put silly costumes on them. They lucked out this year for halloween however. They are never pleased...but I am!
I bit the bullet and wore the skeleton baby shirt to work today. Im getting tired of all the weird looks Im getting. The same girl who exclaimed that I actually look 5 months pregnant is on my shit list again. She saw me and said "awww I like your shirt, but Halloween is over. " She wasn't even joking. I swear to god if she says one more stupid thing to me, I'm going to club her over the head with a stack of printer paper.
@expandcontract the girl in your office sounds like a terrible person. Hope you enjoyed showing your baby skeleton shirt around and getting many congrats
@Du@DuchessOfCambridge I know that she and her husband tried for many years to conceive but were unsuccessful and eventually gave up on that. Maayyybe she's jealous? Im not sure.
@expandcontract I just want to see a video go viral haha. I would next time let her know she's being rude or just look at her walk away. Say nothing to her. I can't wait to hear what people say to me eventually, because I already have resting bitch face down.
