explanation for the newbies: your ticker change day is the day that you begin your next gestational week, i.e. if you start your 39th week of pregnancy today (11/8), Thursday would be your ticker change day.
Back when the board had more activity, each day of the week had their own thread; but now that we’re all getting busy with final preparations or taking care of newborns, I figured it would be easier to have one single thread and whoever would like to update the group can do so on their original ticker change day.
1. How many weeks are you today? What size is baby?
2. How are you feeling?
3. Any appointments this week?
4. Rants/raves/questions?
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
6. GTKY: How many siblings do you have, and what was your relationship like with them growing up?
Re: Ticker Change 11/8-11/14 (post on your ticker change day)
i have to fortify 3 bottled breastmilk meals with some formula powder everyday to add some extra calories, but the formula really aggravates the girls’ reflux so they’ve been spitting up and choking after those meals. i have to hold or position each one upright for at least 30+ minutes each time and i’m so weary of this problem. it is such a time suck and the girls are obviously suffering. i want to ask the pedi at our next appointment if we can stop the formula altogether.
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
i’m working on cleaning the house a bit since it’s been neglected for awhile. planning on taking some pictures for holiday cards/birth announcements this weekend.
i’m an only child.
My ticker change day is tomorrow but I'm doing this now because I might forget tomorrow.
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival? I'm trying to take advantage of Sydney being in the hospital still so I can take care of a few things at home, like cleaning and such. Also trying to spend as much time with DD1 as I can.

39 weeks - pumpkin!
Short of breath and tired, but good otherwise!
I had an OB appointment on Tuesday and an NST on Thursday.
I can't believe I'm due in a week! I'm so nervous to find out how this whole thing goes down since I never went into labor last time and was never dilated or anything (scheduled C-section).
I feel like a FTM and, as far as my body is concerned when it comes to labor, I basically am!
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
We need to buy a van, get clothes washed and set up a couple of things. We really, really need to, but with my husband's work schedule and my being full term and taking care of twin toddlers, it's hard.
I have one (significantly) older brother. We were very, very good friends growing up. I idolized him.
We've grown very far apart since he left for college when I was in elementary school, but we're trying to start over now.

I'm home by myself for the first time tizzy and I'm slightly terrified. Ds1 has been wonderful, but he is doing the whole toddler regression thing.
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
We are pretty much set. I really need to vacuum and just do general cleaning, but I have zero chances/time. My house is a hot mess. Good thing we really can't have ppl over to protect M's immune system, otherwise, I would be super embarrassed.
38 weeks today, size of a winter melon
Not really, want to make sure this swelling I have is typical pregnancy swelling as opposed to the scary pre-e kind. Working hard to keep this kid in position, hoping to have some progress on dilation but at the same time continuing to work on being patient and not letting her size be a reason to induce (there's no medical reason at this point, I'd really like to have one pregnancy go into natural labor without induction).
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
Make freezer meals and a budget for maternity leave, since next week's my last week of working until February.
I'm the oldest of 5- 3 sisters and 1 brother. We have a broad spectrum of ages since all my siblings are half sibs and among us there's 3 different fathers. It's all kind of complicated, but I'm close with my middle and youngest sisters.
the twins had their pedi checkup this morning— no heart murmurs, so we get to cancel their echocardiograms. doc also gave the thumbs up to stop milk fortification. i’m very relieved! elise has gained 2 pounds in one month! emilia not far behind has gained 1lb12oz. today they are one month old!

41 weeks today. Size of a watermelon
pretty good! Mild discomfort but all things considered I’m chillin!
waiting in bed for a c section that will begin around 12:30. If anyone saw in the questions thread I started a foley bulb last week that didn’t work and I was sent home. Tried again last night and they pumped me up to the max and I went back to 1cm when they took it out this morning. Since I’m already a week late and the baby is measuring big they are just going to c section it out
Rant- I’m sad my DH can’t cut the cord. He was really looking forward to that
rave-omg I will be having a baby in a few hours!
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
the nursery furniture minus the recliner are at buy buy baby waiting for the recliner to come so it can get shipped all at once. In the meantime the baby will sleep in the bassinet that comes with the pack and play for now. Since we don’t know how big the baby is, I didn’t wash too many of the clothes we got so tags are on in case the baby is as big as they are claiming
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival? Getting the house cleaned tomorrow, and then unpacking the last of the baby items in tnhe nursery. Need to figure out how to diaper in our bedroom, where he will be for the first few months.
