@lcking82 - Even for something silly? Winning the science fair at your school. Having a viral comment on Facebook. Being in your local newspaper.
Okay, here's mine. I have a pin that I created on Pinterest that has over 11K repins. I check on it every few months because I'm pretty proud of it, lol!
Not sure if this counts but I'm related to Andy Warhol!
But me personally - I'm known as a meat eater. There was a guy at work who legit brought me in raw cuts of meat for my birthday to share with DH. Everyone asks for my recommendations on burger places and not to lie but I kind of take pride in it. Ron Swanson is my spirit animal lol.
I'm not famous for this, but we joked about it... But my company just put out a new marketing video demonstrating our products and I was the operator of the demo unit we have. We were joking that I would be demanding a trailer and all the other crazy things movie stars request on set. Slippers and a robe, etc lol

I was on my college’s website for like 3 years as a student profile. My face was plastered all over the front page, lol. I was an academic All-American in T&F and XC.
Recently at our professional society meeting, during the "spotlight" event, they used a candid picture of me to represent "young people" in our field. Except I had MAJOR resting B**ch face, and looked incredibly uninterested in whatever I was looking at when they took the shot.
Not really famous but... me and my best friend went to a live taping of Maury a few years ago and they actually feature my face in the opening credits! Hahaha.
@riff323 yours reminded me of something I did when I was younger. I was a ball girl for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in ‘99 (soccer). I was on like a billion tv’s during that game, lol.
I'm well-known in my community for being followed around by natural disasters. There was a tornado touchdown in my hometown pretty much exactly where we were headed as we drove in from our road trip in 2008 (and tornadoes are pretty rare here). I was on vacation in Japan when the 2011 earthquake/tsunami hit. I was on a 2012 cruise in the Caribbean when Hurricane Isaac forced us to have to change ports mid-cruise, then we got "stuck" floating in the gulf of Mexico for 2.5 extra days because we couldn't get back to Ft Lauderdale. I was in Hawaii when Hurricane Darby hit in 2016.
Now whenever I travel, people joke I won't be allowed to get travel insurance and nobody wants to come with me. Thankfully, miraculously, I've never actually been that affected by any of these things, never in harms way or in any real danger but it's just a running joke that I'm a walking natural disaster.

@chichiphin - It's a capsule wardrobe. I've made a bunch, but that particular one just took off for some reason. I've even seen it featured on blogs and websites and stuff.
I used to cosplay as SuperGirl and would attend Comic Con, Wonder Con, etc. back before all of it was popular. I would go to the cons with my best friend who dressed up as Wonder Woman. We were featured on tons of websites and even had a regular appearance on a certain late night talk show. But now I'm a hundred years old and look more like SuperGirl's bloated aunt Mildred.

I wouldn't say this makes me famous, but I have a family connection to the Titanic. My great-great grandfather was a passenger on his way home from a business trip in Europe. He didn't survive the sinking. His photo and story are on some website devoted to the disaster.
ETA: this is why no one wants to go on a cruise with me.
I literally can't even touch yalls "famous for". I mean I am pretty famous for chugging like 4 shots of fireball at a work christmas party one year and not dying. I also once funnelled vodka. Not my finest moment...
But for real. I guess the only thing that would really "make me famous"? I have been struck by lightning. Sorry ladies, I am striking out on all the cool kids points today!
@klmcguire 4 shots of fireball and living to tell about it is VERY impressive in my book.
My friend and I went to an ACL Live Taping for Kacey Musgraves. It came out last weekend, and there are 3 seconds that we are on camera dancing to "High Horse." So famous!
@chichiphin I am in another role with the company now, but when I was 10 years younger we had the BEST Christmas parties. Even when people left and moved on in life, they would always come back for the Christmas parties! These parties now consist of all 22 year olds whom I can no longer hang with, so I graciously bowed out a couple of years back hahah!
ETA: Also.... I work for an Office supply company (cough*Staples*cough) and it is sometimes like The Office haha.
I have a few. In high school (as a freshman) my friend and I had a joking bet about me not being able to right a song, so I wrote one. It was a heavy metal song about a dead cow (our bus drove by it daily.). It was quite legendary and it was still talked about when I was a senior.
I am known for having horrible luck and horrible. But not just horrible luck, it is also rare and strange things. And often health relate. Twice I have been nearly hit by a hot air balloon.
Ds and I each have had disease that are incredibly rare. The odds of each are 1 in 50,000.
Which leads to people always ask. W for medical advice, probably because if I haven’t had it, at one point a doctor thought I might. My coworkers all refer to me as Dr. my last name.
@nomangos23 Sadly enough I am the most unlucky person in this world. I also get stopped by EVERY red light I meet. DH doesn't let me drive anymore when we are in a hurry.
I'm famous for being apparently the funniest friend. I have very quick wit. Most people i spend time with tell me I'm hilarious. Honestly though, I'm just very very sarcastic and its seen as funny. Also I'm related to Rick Hanson who used to be a lot more famous back in the day. I'm also incredibly good at getting out of speeding tickets.
