5 wk US - gestational sac...no yolk sac

I had an ultrasound today as I had no idea how far along I am. I have been told I could not get pregnant. My ultrasound shows a gestational sac measuring 5 weeks with no yolk sac yet. Can this be normal? I’ve been so excited about this pregnancy and now I am a wreck. Anyone have a similar experience?

    At my 5 week appointment I only saw the sacs. It wasn't until a couple weeks later I was able to see the heartbeats. If you are ever concerned remember you can ask your doctor. They are there to help you. My LO is 5 months old.

    Have they scheduled a follow up ultrasound in a couple weeks? Since you don't know how far along you are it is possible that it's just too soon to see anything.
