I have an ultrasound tomorrow morning to see if bsby’s urinary tract is still dilated. Praying for good news! Afterward, I have my standard 32 week appointment. Only 8 weeks to go!
@katy0990 I hope you get good news too! Regardless, I should google UT dilation because I don't know anything about it.
Wednesday!
Should be my last two-weeker (at week 35), nothing special otherwise. I'm curious to see what my weight is. I don't feel any larger, but I rarely do between appointments

@katy0990 Hope you get good news at your appointment
@echo-charlietango Lately I feel like my growth (bump size) has seriously stalled and it's making me paranoid. I'm hoping it's just because I live in my body every day so I don't notice small changes. I have been weighing myself and I did finally gain a pound after weeks of plateau. I don't start my one week appointments until 36 weeks so I have another week of worry before getting my growth checked out. I had an ultrasound at 32 weeks and the baby was in the 36% (I think close to what you said yours was) so fx it's still around there. I think they will only do an ultrasound if I haven't grown though.
@kadeephd Yes! I feel like the bump stopped growing too - even my skin stopped hurting at night for the most part - so I am paranoid with you. I don't own a scale so I have no idea what the numbers are, regardless LO was 35th percentile at week 33 and his movements have been steady. FX for healthy babes!

@kadeephd@echo-charlietango If I remember correctly, it’s normal for mom’s weight to plateau during those final weeks, even though baby is gaining. I believe it has to do with fluid. Plus, the heavier baby gets, the more calories we burn carting him or her around!
@kadeephd@echo-charlietango yes to what @katy0990 said! I even lost a couple pounds at the end right before going into labor, which I was told is normal. I wouldn't stress too much about weight unless you notice a drastic change either way!
Yes, definitely can be normal to have weight plateau in 3rd tri. I haven’t gained anything in 4 weeks but fundal height keeps growing and my belly is feeling bigger. Also, when baby moves positions, it can make a big difference in bump size. When baby flipped to head down from transverse, my bump got noticeably smaller. That said, if you’re worried, definitely talk to your doctor.
I have my 36 weeker today, which will include group b strep swab [yaaay], an ultrasound and NST. A little butthurt that H won't be with me for the ultrasound but c'est la vie.
+1 for not being able to tell if my bump is growing/ weight gain with @echo-charlietango and @kadeephd. But I go in tomorrow for either my last 2 week or my first weekly, not sure what they'll want to do. But i think i'll have my strep swab. Also have our 2nd childbirth class on thursday, so I'm hoping for some good, practical info. Happy appointments, yall.
Good luck at your appointments, guys! @katy0990 A special good luck to you!
I have my 34 week appointment on Wednesday. Not really sure what it entails! After the 36 week appointment, we start the weekly ones, right? I can't believe it's already November!
@morgantu@echo-charlietango Glad I am not the only paranoid one. @CecilB93@Katzalia Thanks for the reassurance about third tri plateau! I just wish I had some way or knowing the baby was still growing ok in there. I'm just paying attention to movements to reassure myself that baby is doing fine.
I start my weekly appointments tomorrow. I've definitely been gaining weight Those of you who aren't, I agree about baby's positioning making a difference! I'm sure all is fine!
34 week appt this week and my baby flipped from transverse to head down. Yay! I had been doing forward inversion exercises to get the baby head down and it worked! Measuring right on track and everything looks normal. No growth scan for me.
36 week appointment tomorrow! It's a big one with a lot of important stuff - last ultrasound before due date, have to get something from the office to start temporary disability, need a new, more specific prescription for my breast pump, and GBS swab, I believe! Cannot wait for the ultrasound! I get really nervous at this stage of pregnancy and I want to see my little guy! ❤️

@echo-charlietango and @kadeephd Echoing @CecilB93 and @Katzalia it's totally normal to have weight plateau in the third tri, do not fret at all! Your dr will let you know if it's something to be concerned about it, but a slow down and even some weight loss is considered totally normal!
@texas_t I've definitely been gaining too, still, and I'm not super psyched about it! Oh well, hopefully it's all going to a nice, healthy baby and not just my arms, back and butt (which seems to be the case, lol.)
@morgantu Hope your childbirth class and appointment go great!
@ebk20 That's so awesome about baby flipping head down! Woo!
@clbness Yeah, I think after 36 everyone typically goes weekly! I am kind of in denial, looking at the calendar, that I have OB appointments every Tuesday until baby is here!
I, too, feel like my belly isn't really getting bigger. BUT it will. Last time I was at the midwife she said there will be a growth spurt really soon. She said this when she noticed I hadn't gained any weight since the last appointment. So I am sure it will change for me soon, and maybe you guys too!!

@AdorkablePixie Like @CecilB93 said, ours is only for kids 4 and older, so DS couldn’t do it. I was disappointed because I remember taking it myself as a child and remember it being lots of fun!
Yay, my 36 week appointment went well! Baby boy is 6 pounds 6 oz, head down and NOT sunny side up like his sister was (woo!) fluid levels are good, dilated a fingertip and basically all systems go! If it comes to induction, like it did last time, I can choose between Dec 3rd (the night before my due date) or Dec 10th (the next Monday) or, if my sciatic nerve pain continues to worsen, she said 39 weeks would be fine (but I am hoping it doesn't come to that.) I can decide whenever I want, between now and then. Also, got my GBS swab done and will get those results next week, got my more detailed prescription I needed for my breast pump, and got all the info I need to sign up for temporary disability today! Whew! Going weekly now until due date! Almost baby time!
34 week appointment yesterday which was lovely and uneventful followed by a growth scan today. Baby is at the 50% and all looks good. No sign of the former VSD or any other issues. The guessed birth weight will be around 7lb 9oz which I can handle and I don't ever have to go back to the Perinatalogist!!
Other than my bit of crying, everything went well at my appointment yesterday. Baby boy looks & sounds great and is estimated at 6 lbs, 14 oz. 1 cm dilated. Induction is scheduled for 7:30 on Monday, 11/26 (39 weeks). Doctor says she hopes he comes on his own before then. Sigh!
35 Week appointment went well! I did lose one pound since two weeks ago, so my perceived growth stall wasn't in my head. Who knows though, 1lb isn't a lot, it could have been heavier shoes and needing to poop. OB wasn't worried, and it's not unusual. Otherwise kiddo remains head down and my OB felt his head during a quick cervical check My fundal height was a little low apparently (I didn't ask what it was) so I'll get a quick scan next week to make sure kid is doing well. He's still pretty wiggly in general. Today he kept scooting away from the Doppler but I hardly felt it - odd. Oh, today was my GBS also. Hope it's negative because I hate being on antibiotics
Goodbye two-week appointments, hello weeklies

@hoosiermama-2 omg that's so close!!! That's actually my DHs birthday, it's a good one!
@maureenmce FX your sciatic nerve pain doesn't get any worse than it is!
Had my weekly scan today, baby boy passed super quickly! Next week they'll check growth again during my scan and see how baby is weighing/measuring. Doctor inscreased my insulin another 4 units, I was hoping he'd only do 2 units otherwise things look good! And the tech got a super cute picture of baby toes!!!
@echo-charlietango I think it's normal for weight to fluctuate and it could just be the clothes you were wearing. My last appointment I had lost a pound from my previous, but it was back this past appointment. I was weighed on different scale though, which bothers me. lol
As for me, my appointment yesterday went well. Still measuring a week behind, but I had a growth scan and baby is measuring a week ahead. Cue me freaking out. I DO NOT want a big baby, I am a tiny person. She currently weighs 4lb11oz. Of course I'm not sure that's very accurate because she was not staying still.

I have my next appointment today. I expect it to be quick as it’s just a regular check, no scan or anything and they usually only last a few minutes. I am most excited to get a chai tea latte on the way home. I’ve been planning this for days as Starbucks is soooo far away from me. Yummm
@AdorkablePixie I am pretty sure mine is measuring a week ahead, too, but I am not too worried (I am not even 5ft tall). Those things are so inaccurate.. And you can't really do anything about it anyway...
@ab_canada Yeah, I know they're not accurate. Especially with the way she was moving, I don't see how it could be. DH was almost 11 pounds when he was born though, I can't imagine. DS was 7lb9oz so it wasn't too bad. lol

Had my gbs swab at 35+2 weeks yestyesterday. Already 3 cm and 50% effaced. Supposedly i could be this way for weeks but I've had more frequent contractions today just not regular or increasing intensity yet. Anyone else having at least hourly contractions?
