I voted last week in early voting when I worked from home one day after my 3 hr GTT. I’m so glad I did - even then the lines were long, I can’t imagine them today!!
First time ever there was a waiting line at our polling place - significant line too. Excited for turnout today! Less excited for the lady in line who told me I should’ve had the kid last Saturday on her birthday and I must be uncomfortable being so overdue
DH did run for a local office. He did not win, this wasn't a huge surprise, he went into it knowing it was a long shot. I'm proud of all the hard work that he put into his campaign but it is still hard not to be disappointed. I'm proud of everyone who voted!
I voted in person and took my 10 year old son with me. We have been discussing the candidates and ballot initiatives a lot at our house. I think it was good for him to come with me. I reviewed the ballot with him, including whatvthe issues were about; what current state law is, why I chose to vote the way I did, and why others chose to vote differently.
I’m glad the gas tax increase failed and that the medical cannabis measure passed.
Re: Happy Election Day!
I voted with DS before school today. Now sitting through my 3 hr GTT before I head back to work at my polling station.

I’m voting after my appointment with my midwife around lunch. My FB is already a mess of party bashing and complaining mixed with “I voted” selfies.
