Re: Week 2 Check-in 11/5-11/11
Any appts? Questions?: next appt is 11/13 for a fetal echo and growth scan.
Rants/raves: Rave: started to feel baby move frequently and from the outside just shy of 21w! Rant: no new symptoms, or lack there of. Still taking zofran, and at my as the Dr told me it could be psychosomatic.
How are you feeling? Still sick, back hurts, ect.
GTKY: my grandfather calls me Kenney, and my middle name is Lynn. My favorite number is 3.
Due date: 3/15
Any appointments? Questions?: Got the official reading on the AS and confirmed everything looked good. No appointment until the end of the month.
Rants/Raves?: Rave: has a great, quiet weekend with my little family! Rant: getting pressure/questions about how we’re dividing up Christmas among our families and it always leaves me stressed and grumpy.
How are you feeling?: Overall good! General pelvic achiness, constantly hungry and grumpier than normal.

Any Appointments? Questions? - Had an appointment this morning, doctor put some fears to bed, so it was a nice visit. -
Rants/Raves?: Rant: I went to a craft fair this weekend and over did it walking, so I suffered from really bad RLP Saturday evening to the point I thought I was having contractions because the cramps were so horrible and shot down my legs. So my lovely daughter felt that right when that was happening she would switch positions and quit kicking to where I could really feel them, giving me yet another heart attack. Rave: my OB is a saint and made me feel a ton better, she checked my cervix just to be safe and listened to baby's heartbeat. -
How are you feeling?: - I am super sore today from the RLP, so I'm thankful for a sedentary job and for my little girl being back to her normal kicking self. -

Any Appointments? Questions? Had a follow up scan today with emphasis on heart images since he didn’t cooperate last month. Everything looks great even though he was still being an uncooperative stinker. Got a cool view of the jaw and his little teeth!
Rants/Raves?: on the way home from my appointment I got the email from HR saying I was selected for the position I applied for last week, so yay!
How are you feeling?: pretty good overall! Just some back pain and achiness here and there.

My username used to be kkfl2m+b which was the initials of me and my husband and 4 cats (Fiona Lea Millie & Milton) + b for baby. I didn’t want to do another string of letters so it’s just my name and daughters bday/ when I became mama. I go by Katie but Mama Kate is my planned label name for when I make and sell a salsa in the future (lol!).

@lelkcot I know what you mean about the holiday pressure. My dad always does thanksgiving dinner on Fridays (partly so he can do Friendsgiving at his bar on Thursday and partly so the kids don’t have to worry about being two places on one day- we’re all local). Last year we broke off because it’s just too much, and I wanted to start a new tradition on black Friday of getting the tree and decorating, etc. Got a text about a week ago asking what time works for us on Friday. Part of me wishes they would have let it go so we could do our own thing, but also reminding myself to cherish the time we have together. (It’s just hard when my stepmom’s entire giant family comes! I grew up in a family of 4!)

Pretty good. Starting to have more trouble sleeping, mostly due to difficulty getting comfy. Lots of pillows have been necessary, lol

Rants/Raves?: I'm currently away at a work conference/vacationing with my mom and aunts and they are wearing. Me. Out. And it's only been a day.
How are you feeling?: HUNGRY. But not terrible, all things considered!

Had my 20 wk u/s two weeks ago and was so relieved that so far, my little guy is looking good but he was laying across and breech though and they couldn't get the images of his heart as well as they had wanted and making sure his heart is ok has been a concern of mine, so hoping for another scan to double check in the next few weeks and also hoping he moves into the right position if he hasn't already.
I see my ob again on Thursday (15th) and have a list of questions and concerns this time since alot of things have been happening that are considered normal, but want to double check.
Rants/Raves?:
Rant: Braxton-Hicks have been kicking in like crazy this past week and have been incredibly uncomfortable. Seems like every so often I'll get bombarded with cramps and aches and pains for a good while and then I'll hydrate extra, try to change positions, stretch, etc. and it'll calm down again. I discovered that it's likely where my son is laying because if I massage my belly or give it a shake, I'll feel him move and the aches will disappear. When the b/h first hit me (they lasted for 3 hours) I was ready to head to ER because I hadn't experienced them up to this point and it scared me but after lot's of water, laying down, stretching out, they went away and I was ok. I figure because this is my second time around, things are just hitting me harder/sooner than last time.
Raves: Feeling my son moving all the time now!
How are you feeling?:
More energy this past week or so but having trouble sleeping due to leg cramps at times and can't seem to shut my brain off from all of the things I need to do before he arrives. Having crying spells alot the past few days. Overwhelmed at times but overall, pretty good!

I am a massive fan of the video game franchise Fallout and my real name is Kathryn, nicknamed Kat and in the game there is a group of greasers (60's style) called "The Atom Cats" so it's a play on that and my nickname. Yes, I'm a gamer and geek! Haha. Enjoying what game time I can before DS arrives and I just don't have the time to do it anymore.
