Good thread! 1. I'm looking forward to DS having a sibling close in age. 2. I'm looking forward to being due around the beginning of a hot, hot summer ahead. 3. I'm looking forward to seeing how 2 children changes things! (From what I've heard 1 is 1 and 2 is 10, so I'm slightly nervous.) 4. Announcing to my DH's mother's side at Thanksgiving 5. Getting to swaddle a little newborn again 6. A second, more successful attempt at BF! I'm not going to give up as easily this time. 7. Looking forward to DH actually agreeing on a name with me 8. Looking forward to my mom getting to meet him/her. She's the BEST mother and Mimi I could ever ask for. 9. Looking forward to FINALLY going through all of those baby clothes I've been saving and either putting them away for #2 or finally purging them! 10. And of course, I'm looking forward to that sweet first moment when they lay baby on my chest and I finally get to see that precious face I've been waiting so long to see

@nopegoat I am all in my feels right now. You have more experience with this because it's your 5th, is it freaky to see how some of your babes resembled the others? I think that's what I'm looking forward to the most.
@mamahmh2 yes!!! Super freaky! When they were newbs they all basically looked identical and it brought back so many memories and made me realize just how fast it really went (lots of feels here too). 😭😭
H and I still sit back and are amazed by how similar and different they all are.

breastfeeding (and the "tittyfairy" that comes with it at least for a time!)
Watching my boys bond and care for their new sibling - they LOVE little kids
Modified Co-sleeping - we usually have a bassinet or crib attached to the bed so the babe is with us but not in the bed. I miss snuggling with my babes.
Baby wearing
Baby snuggles
The overall gorgeousness of the babies DH and I make - DH is multiracial, so I get extra beautiful babies

Seeing what personality traits are inherited
Seeing my sexy soulful wonderful DH with a baby again. He is a baby whisperer, truly connected and magic with kids of all ages and the most awesome dad. Damn... that just makes me want to go home and jump him, but he is working until 10PM tonight...
1. Telling my maternal grandpa he's going to get his first great-grandchild 2. Telling my paternal grandpa he's going to get his tenth great-grandchild 3. Giving my parents their first grandchild 4. Watching DH become a dad 5. Finally getting the home renovations done because we have an incentive now 6. Watching baby experience things for the first time, like snowflakes, Christmas music, fall leaves, flowers in bloom... 7. Figuring out who baby looks like 8. Breastfeeding (I really hope I can!) 9. Holding baby for the first time 10. Introducing baby to our cat
There's plenty more, but those are the first ten I can think of
1. Hearing the heart beat at out first appointment 2. Feeling the baby move for the first time 3. Telling my boys, especially the 4 year old that we're having a baby! 4. Sharing with our family and friends 5. Finding out the sex of the baby 6. Picking a name out 7. All of the baby snuggles, and that sweet newborn smell 8. Getting an epidural (DS2 came too fast for one!) 9. Nursing 10. Doing skin to skin as soon as LO is born
1. Enjoying this pregnancy because I know what I'm getting into this time 2. Feeling empowered about birth 3. Giving BFing another try (if anyone wants to talk IGT/hypoplasia, I'm here!) 4. DS having a sibling to dote over, play with and experience life with. 5. Holidays as a family of four! 6. Coming up with a new name. 7. Maternity clothes (I want all the onesies and cozy leggins and cute dresses) 8. Commemorating my bump somehow. 9. Waking up in the middle of the night to feed/snuggle with a newborn (I loved this, as hard as it was). 10. The first giggle.
@mamanbebe yes bump commemoration! It was not a thing with my first 2, and I have not made it far enough the last 4 times. I am hoping not to really lose or gain this time around, and to have a real baby bump that I can have some sweet photos of and maybe one or 2 pregnancy pics where I do not look like a barn in a dress.
1. Finding out sex 2. Holding him/her for the first time. 3. Baby clothes 4. Seeing the heartbeat and quieting the crazy part of myself that still has some irrational doubt about whether I’m for really pregnant despite the embarrassing number of pee sticks, nausea, and bloating confirming that I am 5. Maternity leave 6. My first postpartum glass of wine (is that bad?) 7. Picking a name 8. My baby meeting my parents 9. Seeing what he/she looks like 10. Seeing his/her personality
