Baby is the size of a(n): a lemon

Any appointments? Questions?: 14 week appt on Thur

Rants/Raves?: I was trying to vacumn and it wasn’t picking up anything. Looked underneath and all the bristles on the bottom have broken off. So annoying!!

How are you feeling?: Much better! My sciatic nerve hasn’t been hurting as much. But I still get so out of breath doing any housework.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? High 70’s. Warm enough to wear shorts but not feel overly hot. So about May and June here.
    Ivy: July 2010  |  Stella: Dec 2012  |  BFP#3: MMC at 11Wk's, July 2017 | Wyatt: April 2019 | BFP#5: Twin Girls due Sept 2020

  • Due date/W+D: 13+5

Baby is the size of a(n): 🍋 or 🥟

Any appointments? Questions?: Nope. Scheduled the anatomy scan for December 26th. I can schedule a Doppler appointment for 16 weeks, which I think I will do.

Rants/Raves?: Rant: Fucking blacking out every day. I had to lay down IN FRONT OF MY STUDENTS because I got so dizzy and couldn’t see anything. UGH! Rave: I mean, all my other shitty symptoms went away, so that’s good, right?

How are you feeling?: See above. Oh, and lazy/tired. Oh, and my uterus hurts. Oh, and I want a massage. I’m just full of positivity today.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? Honestly, I love warm sunny weather where I can lay in the hammock, reading a book, watching the dogs play in the yard.  But, this weekend was super rainy and miserable (2” in 24 hours and we should get that the entire month of November) and I watched 5 movies on Netflix yesterday and don’t feel bad about it, either. So rainy, cold, blanket weather is also awesome!

  • Due date/W+D: May 8th/ 13w5d

Baby is the size of a(n): Jalapeño

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appt is the 13th with the OB. Guessing they’ll do a Doppler.

Rants/Raves?: Well, MH knows the sex of our baby! The office called with our bloodwork results early this morning and I had them call him with that part. Low risk, so that’s great news! But, I have to wait until Saturday to know. We planned a little special reveal for DD and I’d decided to find out with her. I didn’t think the office would have the result and so early this week 😂

How are you feeling?: I’m feeling great. still fatigued, and a little foggy/forgetful; but otherwise, all is well.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? I love this time of year. It’s gotten cool here in GA, and the leaves turning makes me happy. I hate the cold though, so it makes me sad that winter is coming. Even a GA winter. I’m already bundled up as soon as I’m home, and my electric blanket is on.

My other favorite is summer rain storms though! Sitting on a porch and watching it pour.

  • @GeorgiaGirl1230 So exciting! I don’t know how you are so patient - I’d be hounding my hubby to tell me.

@mrskoz428 OMG I can’t imagine fainting in front of kids... I’m a teacher, too! What do you teach?

    Due Date/W+D: May 14/12+6

Baby is the size of a(n): between plum and lemon, although I feel like those two things are pretty much the same size...

Any appointments? Questions?: Had my 12 week NT scan last Thursday. All looks normal, and U/S tech said she has a hunch we’re having a girl. I wasn’t sure how much weight to give this as she said she’s been wrong before and that we’d find out with more certainty at our Anatomy Scan in December. I’ve read mixed reviews online about it... but some say experienced techs are actually pretty good at figuring it out this early. Has anyone else gotten a “guess” at the NT scan?

Rants/Raves? Rant: DH is being stubborn about Thanksgiving plans. We don’t have family nearby, so I made plans with some friends, but now he wants to change plans again. I really want to spend time with this couple as they are expecting a baby as well, and it’d be nice to hang out with another couple in a similar situation. Hopefully he’ll cave... Rave: No work tomorrow for Election Day! Hopefully everyone is voting!

How are you feeling? Really good this week. Finally getting over a 2+ week cold. Only tough symptom this week is HOLY HEARTBURN.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of weather? I definitely am a huge fan of fall. Unfortunately it was super cold and rainy today (in MD), but the weekend was brisk and sunny.

I hope everyone else is doing well!
  • @kfdrive 4th grade. They are getting pretty u derstanding about the weird things I do being “baby’s fault”. 😂 I put my head down and I said “Baby’s making me dizzy” and they just said “oh, okay’” 🤣

  • @mrskoz428 Aww, so sweet. I teach HS and they all just found out this week. I wore a T-shirt that says “Madre” (I’m a Spanish teacher), and they got a big kick out of it!
  • Due date/W+D: who knows! Just kidding! Ultrasound tech is still adamant about 5/14, but doc is sticking with 5/8 since less than 7 days off. It's thrown off all my calendars and counts. I think I'm 13w5d?

Baby is the size of a(n): plum or apricot.

Any appointments? Questions?: next app 11/26. Had to go in today for emergency visit and found out I have a subchorionic bleed. Thankful the was already a thread about that where I could get lots of support.

Rants/Raves?: Bedrest for 48 hrs and I'm already ranting. Not sure how other moms do it.

How are you feeling?: ok, just overanalyzing every ache and pain.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? Hot hot hot🌞Upper 80s and more. I love the heat, and I get super unhappy this time of year when it's dark before I get off work and rainy and cold like today😓
  • @kfdrive the US tech guessed at our NT scan. Baby was measuring ahead though at 14 weeks. She guessed boy because “the angle of the dangle” was straight up. I think she said if it was pointing downward she would have said girl. We should get our NIPT results in two weeks so we shall see soon if she was right.

  • Due date/W+D: 13w may 14

Baby is the size of a(n): Daisy

    Any appointments? Questions?: Nope.

Rants/Raves?: I am pretty damn sure I've been feeling flutters. I totally eye roll people who say that (sorry 😂) but I'm pretty confident that's what I've been feeling.

How are you feeling?: blah. I threw up again last night, which is kind of funny because I had just been thinking that it's been a few days and I actually felt great. And then I took a turn.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather?

Sun. Warmth. Summer here in Washington I think I could categorize as my favorite weather. It's not too hot, but doesn't really rain like at all. Winter in Washington is my least favorite weather. Rain rain rain rain rain.
  • Due date/W+D: 13w, 4d

Baby is the size of a(n): lemon

Any appointments? Questions?: just chilling for now until next appt at end of Nov. Sounds like it's just your basic 4 week check-ups for a while. We will have our mid pregnancy ultrasound too.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good now that I'm in the second tri - yay! But yesterday I was blasted with a hit of nausea and fatigue which was annoying. Otherwise though, I really do feel like I'm feeling better. I'm also starting to feel some uterus stretching/bump growing pains! Eek. I'm so excited to look pregnant.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? What we're currently experiencing here in New England! Crisp, sunny days with a little bit of chill in the air but nothing you need your winter coat for or anything.

    Due date/W+D: Due 5/12 13wks 2days

Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon

Any appointments? Questions?: I have 2 this month. The free pregnancy care place in our area is holding a training for new techs and needed pregnant women to come in to help so we are going on the 13th for that and then doing the 16 week sex scan on the 20th. Had our check up last week and heartbeat was pumping right along.

Rants/Raves?: Raves, feeling pretty good. Still some nausea off and on in the mornings. Getting some stretching feelings too. @eatinwatermelonseeds I swear I felt something like flutters last night and yesterday but having never got this far idk.

How are you feeling?: Tired but overall much better

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? I love early fall. When its crisp in the mornings but warms up for the afternoon.
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds I actually don't think you're crazy; and if you are-we are crazy together. Sometimes I definitely feel like it's probably baby and not gas lol.

Any appointments? Questions?: DH and I had an appointment with the genetic counselor at MFM today to get the Counsyl test to see if either one of us is a carrier for any genetic diseases/disorders, we should have the results in 2 weeks.

Rants/Raves?: We have had so much rain lately and it has been so cold, I'm ready for the sun.

How are you feeling?: I am starting to feel better, still nauseous in the morning but it disappears quickly. I  have been a lot of hip pain though, so that is not fun.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? I love hot sunny weather! July and August are my favorite months!

  • Due date/W+D: may 11th 13 weeks 3 days

Baby is the size of a(n): lemon

Any appointments? Questions?: next Thursday the 15th! Seriously can’t come fast Enough.

Rants/Raves?: the rain needs to stop! I hate the rain and it has literally rained  for at least 3 weeks every day. Cold miserable (30’s and 40’s) rain. Everything is wet and all the kids are losing it. The boys are bouncing off the walls and my first graders cannot sit still. I am ready for winter!

How are you feeling?:  ok still very fatigued which I am going to have to fight this week to get ready for ds1’s bday party. I have 48 cupcakes to bake and decorate. I had some nausea the last couple days but better today. I also have been feeling that stretching tightness of growth in the pelvic region. Also if I sit really still I too sometimes think I feel a flutter. Especially right before bed when it’s really quiet. Still too early to say for sure but I don’t think you guys are crazy.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather?
I love the snow! The snowier the better. I love snow days and building snow forts and snowmen in the backyard with the boys. I can’t wait for winter.
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds (et al): you are definitely not crazy about the flutters, especially as a STM. I think I felt them in my first pregnancy at around 16w; second time more like 12w. I'm a third-time mom, and I've also felt flutters. It does seem to be something people roll their eyes about, but I don't get it. Everyone has different bodies and babies are positioned differently, so not everyone is going to feel the baby at the same time.

@mrskoz428, you are having such a difficult time! I really hope your blacking out and other issues give you a break as we head into the second trimester!

    Due date/W+D: May 14, 13w2d

Baby is the size of a(n): lemon

Any appointments? Questions?: Had an appointment on Tuesday at 13w, was really nervous but doctor found the heartbeat really easily and the baby was moving around a lot. So relieved! Also was prescribed some anti-nausea/vomiting meds for hyperemesis gravidarum, and taking a low-dose at night and in the early AM has completely changed my life. I finally have stopped throwing up.

Rants/Raves?: Wednesday morning I actually ate a whole bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, which is the first time in God knows how many weeks I was able to stomach anything that early without at least gagging. It was amazing.

How are you feeling?: With my nausea under control, I'm starting to feel like myself again.

GTKY:  What is your favorite kind of weather? I love the transitional seasons, fall and spring, when the air is crisp and there's a nice breeze on your face.
