Hi everyone!
I used to be a part of this message board when TTC my first child, but I haven't been back since. Now I am TTC my 2nd and am having much more difficulty. I need some opinions, because right now I am feeling crazy.
So...I don't ovulate on my own. Without medication, I go several, several months with no period.
Here is what I need opinions on:
In May- I did 50 mg of Clomid- I ovulated (progesterone level 31). I did not get pg, and had my cycle, but I was out of town so I couldn't get an ultrasound, therefore could not do Clomid in June
July/Sept- Since I didn't do Clomid, I didn't ovulate and have to take progesterone. I had really light spotting, but I was told to count that as my cycle, and I took Clomid 100mg (my dr upped the dose)
Two Weeks Later- I did light spotting again. I was told NOT to count this as my period. I was told to ignore the spotting and take progesterone again starting on CD28.
October- Too 150mg of Clomid (again the dr upped the dosage) and ovulated (progesterone 24), but did not get pregnant. The nurse now says that we will switch from Clomid to Femara since the Clomid was unsuccessful.
My question: If the Clomid is making me ovulate, is it unsuccessful? Why are they switching to Femara if the Clomid is making me ovulate? Should I trust my doctor or ask them to put me on Clomid again?
Thank you for your opinions!
Cycle/Month- 3/7
BFP!- 10/31- fingers crossed!
