Re: First Time Mom Check-in
25 weeks. Baby is cabbage sized?
2. How are you feeling?
Good! Some aches, but mostly better and more energy this week. I think prenatal yoga is helping a lot.
3. Rants/Raves/Questions?
I really wish I weren't peeing myself so often when I sneeze. That sucks.
4. Any appts this week?

5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
Not much of a story, we just met online. Okcupid. There was an awkward first date that my H refers to as the "are you a serial killer meeting." I think it wasn't until our third date that we actually started to get to know each other, when I came home all excited telling my roommate about this great guy I'd met.
2. How are you feeling? - Generally good! I had a weird (probably not preg related) pain in my arm yesterday that seems to be going away. So far no uncomfortable late pregnancy symptoms. I’ll enjoy it while it lasts!
3. Rants/Raves/Questions? - I’m so sick of the receptionist (the coworker I work the closest with). She’s not doing her job properly, and her messiness has actually caused projects to be delayed because she puts important papers in a pile to be filed without notifying anyone she received them. I tell her repeatedly she can’t do that, and she just says “ok” and doesn’t do anything about it. Also the front desk is a giant mess, it’s to the point where it actually smells bad because of half empty coffee cups with creamer that have been sitting there for days. Oh and she’s a no-show today, she was sick yesterday and said she might be able to come in today, but gave no clear answer either way and is not replying to texts. Funny how she’s gone two days straight the week the boss in on vacation!
4. Any appts this week? - Nothing until late Nov. I’m supposed to schedule a group appt soon, but I think I might skip it. The first one was useless (I had already googled everything they talked about), and it costs $40, so nah.
5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO? - We met while I was living in Glasgow, Scotland. He was touring with his band in the UK (H is American). A mutual friend basically dragged me to the show, I didn’t know the band and felt like staying home. Glad I didn’t!

2. How are you feeling?
Good, although my BV seems to be coming back which means my doctor will likely prescribe a 5th course of something to try to treat it. Ah, the glamorous aspects of pregnancy.
3. Rants/Raves/Questions?
We decided it was time to paint all of the rooms in the house that haven't been painted - the entire upstairs and now the living room because it's all lead paint (awesome!) so the house is in total disarray, which I hate. I just keep telling myself it will be worth it and best to do it now rather than wait any longer.
4. Any appts this week? Just had a regular checkup this morning. Everything looks good, baby was sleeping but heard his hb on the doppler, always great. Got scheduled for my glucose test in 4 weeks, woohoo
5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO? In grad school. Our departments shared an office so it was basically a water cooler romance
2. Doing well, just getting bigger and more uncomfortable.

Pretty good. I've had some physical discomfort this week but I didnt do myself any favours by painting the nursery.
3. Rants/Raves/Questions?
We shelled out the money for the one coat guaranteed paint and guess what? Tonight I'm starting on coat number 2. DH comes home at 11 pm on Friday and I really want to surprise him with it all done (he doesn't know I've even started). It's super irritating because it looks fine until you look up close and then there's these little flecks of the old stuff poking through.

Nope.
5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
College English class. We sat a few seats apart and then slowly drifted closer as the semester went on!
24w 4d. Supposedly an ear of corn, which is not nearly as terrifying to imagine birthing as the Bump app's "cantaloupe" comparison is.
2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good, though a little tired of not sleeping through the night, and of peeing a little whenever I cough or sneeze (during allergy season, no less!)

I'm about to head home and make zuppa toscana in the Instant Pot, and I'm so excited!

5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
We met in undergrad. I frequently studied at the library, and he never studied there (though he was the better student). He came in with his friend one evening, saw me and started chatting, then started coming back each evening after that, acting like it was his usual thing. He was so obvious.

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Tired today, but that's not because of pregnancy. Took off yesterday for a dr appt, and have been running at max speed to stay caught up. Plus... teachers know this-- we spend lots of time making sub plans, that may or may not get followed...

Hmm.. nah! I am good. I think I ranted enough above ;-)
4. Any appts this week?
Had an appt yesterday! It was glucose test, iron blood test, thyroid blood test, plus dr appt. Fingers crossed my glucose levels are good.
5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
We met through mutual friends. He was told about me, but was in a "I give up" kinda stage in finding someone. We crossed paths in person one day, and BAM. I was wondering why this guy kept staring at me!!! LOL! The rest is history.

Good, heartburn has subsided a bit but back pain comes and goes. And I love feeling baby move!

5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
I've known him since elementary school, thought he was cute and wanted to marry him in 6th grade haha. We started dating my jr year of high school (13 years ago in January), and got married once I was done with grad school 5 years ago.

Good 99% of the time! No uncomfortable yet just some slight nausea at night right after I get in bed.

Kicks are getting stronger I love them. They aren’t to the point where they hurt me so that’s good!

No appointments until my check up next week!
5. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
we met twice in two days. First I waited on him at the restaurant I used to work at then we ended up at the same tailgate at a football game the next morning. I got drunk and kissed him (very classy of me). We had our first official date that New Year’s Eve (10 days later) and our first real kiss that night. I wouldn’t change a thing about those couple of days💕
