- Next Monday, just a quick OB check in visit - I like the quick in and out visits. I just pop in on my way to work, nothing too concerning is happening this week.
Rants/Raves?:
- Rant: I wish I had more energy and could sleep a whole night, my brain cannot seem to shut off. I was up at 2:30 am until 4am wide awake and then had the hardest time getting up for work at 7am.
- Rave: Starting to feel baby kicks on the outside, my husband felt one tiny kick yesterday. He runs hot, and makes my belly really warm if he leaves his hand on there too long so I think she must get cozy and not want to move.
How are you feeling?:
- Not too bad, I am sore. I feel like I workout every day and it's mainly walking to the bathroom and to the vehicle from work. I told my husband I need to start doing some prenatal yoga (I have a DVD that I really need to try) and he said he would do the P90X yoga at the same time I do my prenatal yoga so we are essentially doing yoga together. Such a giver that man is .
GTKY: (stealing this from Week 3!) What is your favorite Halloween treat?
- This is a tough one. I love chocolate right now. So either Milkyway, Snickers, or Kitkats.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@bdesterhouse feeling baby kicks on the outside is so cool, and it’s awesome when hubby gets to share in that.
Due date: 3/15
Any appointments? Questions?: Both the 20 week OB appointment and the AS went really well last week. So grateful to have the reassurance of a good scan. Did find out I have an anterior placenta, so thus why I’m not feeling a ton of movement.
Rants/Raves?: Rant: I can’t get a response from people I work with, it’s like my emails just disappear into the abyss. Rave: my child care provider asked for Wednesday off (literally the first time in the 3+ years I’ve used her) and I’m excited I don’t have to go into the office on Halloween, and can play at home with DS instead!
How are you feeling?: feeling pretty good, some pelvic achiness that’s getting annoying.
GTKY: (stealing this from Week 3!) What is your favorite Halloween treat? Reese pumpkins, hands down!
Any appointments? Questions?: I had my 20 week appointment this morning (the level 2 sono was a couple of weeks ago and all is a-ok). Should have been a quick appointment but the doc was "running late" so I was there for over an hour. Not a great way to start a Monday! But the babe is growing right on track and everything sounded good. @lelkcot an@bdesterhouse I'm so ready for the external movements to start! Right now I'm the only one who can feel her rolling around and I'm ready for the H to feel it, too.
Rants/Raves?: I've been having a really tough time at work lately and have started looking for new jobs. Not the ideal time. Just hoping everything will even out!
How are you feeling?: Still getting nauseous in the evenings with some occasional vomiting, but during the day I'm feeling ok.
GTKY: (stealing this from Week 3!) What is your favorite Halloween treat? Nerds! There's something about eating them out of those tiny boxes that just delights me.
Any appointments? Questions?: We had our 20 week OB and US last week, baby girl is surprisingly measuring at 21 weeks 5 days (US done at 20 weeks 3 days). She kept her face hidden behind her arms most of the time but she did let us see her eyes and nose right at the end!
Question: Has anyone started getting fundal height measurements at OB appointments yet? I haven't gotten measured yet. My own measurement is only 11 cm so that doesn't seem right
Rants/Raves?: Just super excited about our ultrasound, can't stop looking at her pictures! Also, very excited about our babymoon to Vermont coming up in just under 3 weeks!
How are you feeling?: Pretty good other than sciaticaaaaa
GTKY: (stealing this from Week 3!) What is your favorite Halloween treat? I like anything candy, but as soon as it's the end of September we always gorge on candy corn and candy pumpkins. My husband and I have probably gone through at least 6 bags already...I think we have a problem.
Any appointments? Questions?: anatomy scan was last week. The doctor couldn’t get good pictures of her spine so we have to go back in 6 weeks. Not worried, just something we have to do.
Rants/Raves?: Rave this pregnancy yoga video: https://youtu.be/44fYnoSLL3c it’s just the perfect amount of time and good for beginners
How are you feeling?: heartburn is so awful!!
GTKY: (stealing this from Week 3!) What is your favorite Halloween treat? Candy corn! Pumpkins are my favorite!
Any apps? Questions? Just had my 20 week and us yesterday. I was a ball of nerves, but we heard the HBO and then stayed team green through the us. Lo looked great. Measured in 21 percentile. Have the fetal echo on the 13th were they will to another growth scan and the Dr wants to do monthly growth scans. Due to me being born with a heart defect, they do extra for Lo. @smf2018 they measured at 16 weeks, but not 20.
Rants/raves: started to finally feel Lo move a couple days ago I think. Also, no sch!
How are you feeling? Still on the zofran for nausea and vomiting. Having back pain and occasional heartburn.
Any apps? Questions? Had my 20 week anatomy scan yesterday. Everything looked good but they said they wanted me to come back in 6 weeks for another anatomy scan to review the size of the baby´s renal pelvis (I had to look it up).
Rants/raves: This kid moves a lot! If he´s this active on the outside, then I´m in trouble!! And my 2 yr old dressed up as Spiderman at his daycare and he is seriously the cutest
How are you feeling? Still some nausea and so much fatigue. I´m so tired
GTKY: Candy corn pumpkins. I don´t know why I like them more than plain candy corn but I do...
I had my AS on Monday, and just got the radiologist's read in my online chart today. I am relieved to say they couldn't have used the word "normal" more if they had tried. We meet with doctor next week, but it doesn't appear they'll have much to tell us.
Rants/Raves?:
@bdesterhouse, I've had the same thought about our LO's movement. DH finally got to feel baby kick the other night, but baby does seem to settle if a nice warm hand lingers for too long
@Morningstar80- the US tech could not believe how much our LO was moving during our scan, so I think we're going to be in for a handful as well!
How are you feeling?:
My digestive system is starting to struggle. I've been taking a calcium & fiber supplement, trying to stay hydrated & add more fruits/veggies, but think I'm going to have to talk to doctor about what the next step should be because it got pretty bad this week

@dtspmama sorry work has been so unpleasant, hope it either gets better or you find something great!
@smf2018 they did the measurement for the first time at my 20 week appointment.
@govanalyst86 going to have to try that yoga video tonight!
@kenneylynn3 so glad your appointments went well and the sch has cleared!
