32+6 today

Just a two-weeker tomorrow, potentially featuring bonus ultrasound!
OB said that I won't have any more because everything has been so normal, but my reminder email specified an ultrasound time slot! Hope it wasn't a mistake - I want to see kiddo and make sure his amniotic fluid levels are good.

Dear Diary, my stretching belly skin has been hurting. It's weird for me, because I never do anything fast so my skin feels like its having a tough time keeping up with this babe. Of course I have oils and lotions that ease the superficial pain - just commenting that I expected itching, not pain from stretching.

4) GTKY: What is special about your hometown?
I totally peeked on Wikipedia

My hometown area is the largest contiguous cotton-growing area in the world, and the nearby plains produce 80% of Texas' wine grapes. There are five wineries now, but I haven't been to any of them because I left when I was 19 (moved to California's Napa Valley actually, haha).
My hometown is also Buddy Holly's hometown, we went to the same high school, and he and my grandmother had an English class together.
Said high school has been ranked as one of the best in the country by Newsweek - and is ultimately where I met DH. And now you know about Lubbock, Texas.

@echo-charlietango no way!!! My cousins live in Lubbock!! They didn't grow up there, I think maybe went to HS there though? But they live there now. I've been to visit and it's a nice place!

33 weeks tomorrow!!

Appt tomorrow morning. Growth scan and talking with my MFM, nothing special really (these happen weekly at this point).

3) RantsRaves/Questions/DearDiary?
Work threw a little mini shower for me today. Mostly got diapers, wipes, a couple gift cards, a couple stuffed animals, and just a few socks/mittens/sleepers. Perfect since we really didn't *need* anything this time around!

4) GTKY: What is special about your hometown?
According to Wikipedia, our county fair started in 1863 and is the oldest continuously operating fair west of the Mississippi River! Fun fact about Platte City, Mo!

@CecilB93 No way! DH and I agreed years ago that we wouldn't move back - but it's okay to visit. We both recognize the fun of living in a college town, and as a result always find non-college towns as being super weird and lacking diversity.

I kind of wish I spent more time in Platte City when I lived in Leavenworth, but I didn't know anybody there until after I moved
