How long can u be 2cm dilated before active labor? I have movements and BH contractions. I went in today and my obgyn told me everything is normal and baby is good, head down 2 cm dilated.

You can be dilated to 2cm for weeks or you could give birth tonight.

Being dilated does not predict when you will go into labor. You could be pregnant for 4 more weeks, and a very good chance it will be at least 3, so settle in.
