My mother who currently lives with my husband and I has refused to get the whooping cough vaccine, my brother and his family (wife & two children 12 & 10) have also refused. I am deeply hurt and my husband is furious. I've since asked my mother to move out sooner than she had intended, am I overreacting? This is our 1st child and my mother in the health industry. She is in constant contact with paramedics
Your house, your kid, your rules. If you give your mom the choice between getting a simple shot and moving out, and she chooses the latter, that’s her weird problem. If you tell your brother he and fam can’t come around newborn unless they get the shot, and they choose not to, again, their problem. You can’t force them to get vaccinated but they can’t force you to let them around.
