*TW: loss mentioned*
Hi everyone!
DH and I (both 32) started TTC in September 2016. I miscarried twice last year (Jan 2017 and July 2017), both at exactly 7w4d. The second miscarriage happened on a backpacking trip in the remote Utah desert and that experience resulted in some grief/trauma that I really struggled to deal with so we benched ourselves so I could take care of my mental health needs. This summer I finally went back to a (new) OB to start looking in to what might be causing losses. She noticed a footnote from a January 2017 ultrasound (of what was a healthy pregnancy at the time) that suggested the possible presence of a uterine septum. In August I had a sonohysterogram to get a better look and she discovered a relatively significant septum, which is scheduled to be removed next month (!!).
I lurked the boards quite a bit during both pregnancies and I am looking forward to be a part of a community that "gets it" as we sort of re-start this TTC process. I've been feeling more hopeful in the past few weeks than I had for over a year, which is great, but also terrifying.
