@BuckeyeNut05 I was feeling pretty good about doing some squats last week until I saw that pic, now I feel like I’m slacking Felt pretty good about last weeks workouts and did a better job eating healthier! Hoping to keep that momentum going into this week.
Worked out today for the first time in what seemed like FOREVER! Between my brother's wedding week, days off work, hectic schedule at work, and a wonderful cold I haven't been up to more than walking if I even walked at all. Today I did my first strength workout plus a walk in probably 2 weeks? And it felt AMAZING.
I managed to make 4 of my 5 intended workouts last week. I only missed the 5th because one of my 6 year olds threw a tantrum and her consequence was missing a birthday party that my husband was taking her twin sister to, so I consequently also missed my class. Grrr.
Today I just ate waaay too much stuff during the day and I am exhausted so I am going to take a rest day (and hope I don't take another and then another).
Thanks for this @BuckeyeNut05. This thread is my weekly reminder to move my ass.
I have been completely sidelined from running with a toddler-dropped-giant-rock-on-my-foot injury, but it’s feeling better today so I am out of excuses. I did manage to get some prenatal yoga in last week and it felt AMAZING. It’s so slow and I hate it while I am doing it, but my body felt great afterwards.
I finally met my very low bar of moving my body 3-4 days per week. Just some gentle swimming & walking over 3 days last week, but so much better than what had become my habit of doing nothing. Thanks for this thread to keep us motivated!
Hoping this is the week I’m back at it. I’ve been sick with pneumonia for over a month now so I had to stop running. I also had to drop out of my half marathon for this coming weekend because I am still coughing a bit. So bummed! I am starting a prenatal yoga class this Thursday though! Hopefully back on track soon because I am really motivated still just been sick.
Ohhh you ladies are making me feel better when I am way less active than I used to be. I got a workout in this morning, 3 last week, and 2 for each of the 2 weeks before (not counting daily dog walks or trips to the park). I'm hoping to get 4 total this week, 5 next week and keep it at 5/week through the end of this pregnancy. But 🤷♀️ gotta listen to my body which is lazy sometimes.
Most of last week was spent at a crazy work conference (sat-thurs) where my days were loooong (12-16 hours) so I missed my reg workouts. But once that was over, I was able to squeeze in OTF classes Friday thru Sunday, which felt SO GOOD. Plus a 2 hour walk on Saturday! Who knew Friday was National Burpee Day?! What a way to get back in the swing of things!
So I was super excited I've worked out 2 days in a row this week but now today with my day at work it doesn't look like I'll get my usual "break" (which is when I do my workouts) and we're going out to dinner tonight with my in-laws....gah the streak ends at 2
@BuckeyeNut05 apparently on Thurs a coach at my home studio was announcing nat’l burpee day at the end of class. After doing so, literally 10 or so people immediately went to the front desk to cancel their Friday classes. Needless to say, they stopped making that announcement! Haha When I found out after arriving on Friday I definitely mumbled some explicit words in response haha - we survived, though! High five!
@BuckeyeNut05 Thanks! I am feeling a lot better. Still a little stuffy but I think at this point it might just be typical season and pregnancy related stuffy.
Wanted to come back and say I made it to yoga last night! I was really nervous because it's not exactly my thing, as I enjoy a good workout and I'd really rather be running. But I really enjoyed it and it was really helpful after a week long of sitting in my office. Excited to see how this practice will impact labor this time around.

@beachbaby0523 I immediately regretted signing up for Friday's OTF class after I walked in and got greeted with a "happy National burpee day!"
