  • @HoneyBear40  i thought that the other day. So close to 20 already :) And congrats about work!

    Due date: 3/25

Any appointments? Questions?: had another appointment today. it was fine. i would have skipped it but had to have blood drawn...

Rants/Raves?: excited to feel kicking. i know people say it gets old. it never got old for my first pregnancy, i think its so cool, even when it gets uncomfortable. oooohhhh, the other thing i was super excited about this week was one of my patients said thank you and was so complimentary of what i (and we) did for him. he hugged me, too, which i usually find strange but it wasn't because he was just so happy (it was an older man who'd been through a lot). i don't know if i really have a rant right now.

How are you feeling?: ok. pretty tired but nothing crazy. i've been going to bed at 8:20 for so long now. just have to try to get workouts in earlier. got a support thing for lightning crotch and vulvar varicocities and totally helped. overall second trimester is good. i don't even care what symptoms i get as long as no PTM/ cervix issues!

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. I listen to a ton of audible. love it. Listen to Pema Chodron and Brene Brown regularly. If anyone has recs I'd love to switch it up!

    Due date: 3.28

Any appointments? Questions?: Regular check-up this Friday. Anatomy Scan a week later with the MFM docs.

Rants/Raves?:  Work is a continuous battle. Rave is that the new job will start soon enough, thank you Jesus!

How are you feeling?:  Like hell. Low blood pressure has me feeling constantly nauseous, even while sleeping, plus constant headaches, and now I’m gettig weak wobbly legs & feet as if I will faint soon. Going to bring it up again at the appointment this week. I’ve been eating lots of salt & drinking fluids like crazy but nothing helps.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself.  I’m actually pretty weird so not sure why I’m blanking out..... Ummm, I don’t experience pregnancy hormones regarding emotions: I haven’t cried once this pregnancy, my emotions stay pretty even-keeled.  I didn’t get the hormonal ups & downs in my last two pregnancies either. I’m also a lucky one who has never gotten mood-swingy or chocolate-craving PMS. I tend to have very masculine energy (been told this a lot) so maybe I have more testosterone or something IDK...

  • @kristimh80 Have fun and good luck on the drive back! Hooray for the energy fairy coming just in time :)
  • Due date: March 31st

Any appointments? Questions?: I had a checkup last week and got to hear babies heartbeat. This week I did the second round of blood draws to test for downs syndome. Booked our anatomy scan for the 2nd and can't wait to find out the gender.... so much so that I am debating booking in at a 3D place this week to find out sooner haha. Husband thinks since we have waited 16 weeks we can wait another 2... but I am just not sure I can.

Rants/Raves?: Rant - These night shifts are killing me. I'm so exhausted during the day but I am so uncomfortable that I just can't sleep. Think I will likely have to take an early mat leave, because if they are this hard at 16 weeks I dont see myself being able to do them at 36 weeks. Rave - Our bathroom renovation should be done tomorrow, fingers crossed. We had an old shallow metal tub, and I am so excited to take a bath that will cover more than just my ankles in the new tub.

How are you feeling?: Indigestion and heartburn have been a struggle the last few days. Tums just aren't cutting it. I'm also worried I am getting sick because I can't seem to get this awful taste out of my mouth. I am not looking forward to being sick while pregnant. My lower abs have been achy as well. I have to be more careful when rolling over in bed now, and I have to brace myself before I sneeze.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself: Today I met with a psychic/medium... she wouldn't tell me what gender my baby was hahaha

  • Due date:  3/27

Any appointments? Questions?: had hb check last week and baby sounded great! Scheduled the AS for Nov 8...my office refused to go a single day before 20 weeks 🙄

Rants/Raves?: hubs is irritating my soul but the kids have been great this week!

How are you feeling?: better...hesitant to even say that in case the nausea/vomit fairy is listening. I still hate food/water so making meals is especially cumbersome

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself.  I am a twin

  • Thanks @keikilove for getting this thread going.

    Due date: 3/25ish

    Any appointments? Questions?: nope

Rants/Raves?: I got a ton of errands done yesterday since I wasn't bumping ;) including getting the carpet ordered for this LO bedroom at the new house. Hopefully we are moving our big stuff (beds, dressers, computers, tv, couch, kitchen) this weekend, so we'll shift from living here and working there to living there and working here. So excited to make that shift, finally, after 4 months of hauling one box at a time. The goal is to be done with the work here by the end of the year, but we'll see.

How are you feeling?: starting to get pretty uncomfortable sitting.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. I'm 36 and I've never worked a traditional 9-5. I dropped out of law school to be a landlord and have worked the odd part time job to help out different family businesses.

  • @tiabelle319 I don't blame you on the 3D ultrasound deal. I already know the gender of my baby but always think those types ultrasounds are really cool! I also had bad heartburn / indigestion, so started talking Zantac 150 every morning and it hasn't been an issue since.

@sejica Me too!! I find myself squirming in my chair at work a lot more.

  • Due date: 3/27

Any appointments? Questions?: next appt Monday! Just a quick check, everything seems good. :) Does anyone feel like they popped a bit this last week? I tried on my dress for my job interview on Monday and it still seemed like it fit flat/fine. Yesterday I put it on for the interview and it felt tight and looked a bit bumpy. it's a sheath dress, but still!

Rants/Raves?: Rave: New kitty is doing OK. She spent about an hour with the other cats last night and was a little hissy to start, but then seemed to settle until my younger cat saw her trot away and started chasing her. She got all worked up then, so we slid back a little bit. But she does seem to be adjusting a bit. We just need to get her down into the house more instead of her little "wing" where she lives.

Rant: Job interview yesterday was a dud. I'm definitely not the right person, and we all figured it out about halfway through the interview. Everyone was professional and we finished the interview, but totally expecting the "thank you for interviewing, but we've selected another candidate" email next week. oh well! I wasn't super excited about it, but I do need to find a job soon or DH will have to start taking on extra work to get us some buffer room. We just found out we need to put in a water softener/reverse osmosis system (our water is extremely hard and it's awful), to the tune of about 4k. :(

How are you feeling?: Crazy headaches pretty much all the time. And of course, Tylenol doesn't touch them. So lovely.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. Before I met DH, I dated 5 guys more than casually, and 4! of them were named Christopher. DH is NOT a Christopher.

@catlady2015 Glad to hear the new kitty is slowly adjusting to your family. :) Sorry to hear about the job interview. I know you & I have been on about the same track w looking, so I feel your pain. Maybe check out the VIPkids teaching English online that so many moms keep posting? It’s about $20 an hour and you make your own schedule...

@tiabelle319 Best of luck waiting on the anatomy scan! If you go early be sure to let us know what you find out! So exciting :)
  • Due date: March 24

Any appointments? Questions?: Anatomy scan the 22nd! 18+1, so that seems early, but I've read that's as early as you can get them. When we were scheduling, my Dr just said, well, you're 13 weeks... 16 and 20 weeks are the next visits, so let's just meet in the middle at 18. Sounds good to me!

Rants/Raves?: We have a bank auditor in and I'm the main contact as I've always handled this audit. I wasn't able to prep like I'm used to because I've been dealing with a few other things. He's super nice and lovely to deal with. He keeps asking me about things that he needs, and I'm running out of ways to say, I'm working on it, sorry, I'm slow, sorry.

How are you feeling?: I get random bouts of energy and use it all up which apparently drains me for the rest of the week, haha. Round ligament was a bear last night. I definitely "feel" pregnant now, haha.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. My dad and I have the same birthmarks. A small one on our right elbow that resembles Puerto Rico. One on our left side forearm that looks like the state of Tennessee. And, lastly, one on our right butt cheek that looks like a dolphin. We've just taken each other's word for it on the butt cheek, never compared, hahaha.

@catlady2015 , I definitely feel like I popped this week. My belly is now definitely round, haha.

  • @catlady2015 Not sure how you feel about chiropractic care but I had a headache for 3 days last week that Tylenol wasn't touching and the chiropractor was able to give me some relief. It's worth a shot!
  • @catlady2015  4k for a water softener?? thats crazy! i had no idea they were so much.
@kapowfal  thats really cool with the birthmarks! i've never heard anything like that.

  • Due date: March 25

Any appointments? Questions?: Fetal survey on 10/29, next OB visit on 11/4...I had a panorama which showed girl but what are the chances that they missed the Y chromosome? lol I know reality.....

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I was supposed to go out of town Saturday and see baby's father but he cancelled on me again.  Said he mixed up his weekends and he won't be in town.  I'm so mad/upset about the whole situation.  I haven't seen him since June and he hasn't even picked up the phone, only texted.  Rave: I told my boss last Friday and she was super happy for me.  She wants to get me more money now and completely holding my position.  She's going to work with me and is being great about the whole thing.  She was really surprised that I was so far along before I told her but honestly I didn't get I'd get this far.  I've been in denial for a while, maybe still am?  IDK

How are you feeling?: Still very overwhelmed.  Everyday I have new emotions and I feel like I've just been pushing them aside and not dealing with the reality of my situation.  I know I need to come clean to my husband but I just can't.  I don't know how.  We both started new jobs, I'm interviewing tomorrow for a promotion, our adopted DD just started daycare.  I feel like it's just been so many changes and I can't bring on more.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. I'm boring, idk.  Work has taken over my "bump" time so I'm mostly MIA except once a week when I can actually post something but I follow everyone!

  • Due date: March 26

Any appointments? Questions?: no appointments or anything until AS on 11/13. It feels so far away and I’m impatiently waiting to find out if baby is a boy or girl...I’m not doing a good job being patient!!

Rants/Raves?: Rant - work has been horrible lately. There has been a total lack of communication among coworkers and supervisors which is making everything so much harder than it needs to be. I don’t get why people don’t just talk to each other!! Rave - I’m going to visit my DH this weekend so I’m super excited to see him!! He also gets done working out of state on November 8 so he will be home soon!

How are you feeling?: I’ve been feeling good lately although I am starting to feel like I’m showing more than I should be. My dr assured me that I’ve gained the appropriate weight and everything...I think it’s just that I feel like I wasn’t showing much a couple of weeks ago and now it is pretty obvious. I know it’s just because I have “popped” now so just trying to be ok with it and not worry about it.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. I have a big bump on the back of my thigh from landing hard on it when I was in gymnastics. Doctors have tried to remove it unsuccessfully. I named it Francesca. 😜

  • @violetmarie61516 Best of luck on your interview for your job promotion!

@blueberry0326 I'm sure your bump is adorable! I'm ready for mine to start looking more than I just ate too much! lol I get the work stuff...mine's been a mess also with a lot of changes lately.

  • Hey all! It’s been a couple weeks since I checked in! I’ve been super busy, so mostly I’ve just been reading your posts.

    Due date: 29

Any appointments? Questions?: ultrasound scheduled for oct 29!

Rants/Raves?: Rant: We were supposed to transfer to a new renovated apartment in our building this weekend, but when we went to get the keys yesterday management told us the unit wasn’t ready. They’re blaming the renovation company, saying they didn’t say our apartment was one of the ones delayed...ok, but how come you didn’t realize you didn’t have the keys for a unit scheduled to move this weekend? I was not happy. We do still have our old unit until we can move.

Rave on the flip side: DH has been amazing helping me to stay calm and not stress over this and so many other things. He’s also the one who’s doing most of the packing and all of the moving.

How are you feeling?: Generally good. My headaches are still bad and my backs starting to hurt more frequently.

GTKY: Share something strange or random about yourself. I love playing Mario.
