My toddler is sick and was up until 1am. And then up for the day at 6:30. I wish I was a coffee drinker.

@meatballs37 I didnt see that you started this and read it as BFP Monday 10-15 and I thought, "Oh, here we go. Our first SS!". Im tired 😂

BF goes to neice today. I love her, I swear I do. But she can be so rude and inconsiderate at times. This morning she asked if I was going home for lunch (I generally do). I told her I wasn't sure yet. She said "if you do, can you take care of my tie dye shirt?" Now, this shirt is 1 she made a daycare over summer break about 2m ago. Admittedly I have forgotten about it completely. I tell her that no, I will not be dealing with dye in my work clothes on my lunch break when I should be eating lunch. She looks at me, disgusted, puts her hand up and says "well you have an hour". Oh no little girl, you did not... luckily DH took this as his cue to step in and handle her. Pregnancy hormones are making it harder to put up with her preteen antics.

And man, I am NOT looking forward to the pre-teen years. Glad your DH handled the attitude this morning.

Shout out to my co-worker who calls in "sick" once or twice a week. Dude, drinking too much on the weekend is not a legit reason for me to have to deal with your work!

I’m getting a lot of pushback for not going to SIL’s bachelorette party

the family doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet, but that’s not necessarily why I’m not going. It’s out of state and it’s going to cost me almost $1500.

My very well sleep trained almost 2 year-old has been waking up progressively earlier each morning for the past 5 days or so. Then, last night, he woke up around 1am. I let him whine for about 10 minutes to see if he'd go back to sleep on his own before going in. He didn't, and going in only made it worse because he kept telling me he wanted to sleep in mama's bed (which we never let him do). DH went in 10 minutes later, read him a few pages of a book, told him mama and dada are sleeping, and he went down without a peep. Really not in the mood for 1am story time becoming a thing. Guess who's in charge of MOTN wake ups from now on??? He has also been nap striking lately. I swear he knows mama is KTFU and needs her sleep!

@srscott3 I hate weddings for this very reason. There are so many other things people are expected to participate in besides the actual wedding. (Showers, parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding party crap). I hate when people automatically expect people to shell out money for every single thing. I’m at the point where if someone asked me to be in a wedding, I would politely decline.

I'm going to complain about my uterus today because the mild cramping, the bloating, the constipation and sleepless nights are driving me insane. I just wanna sleep! And how is it that I'm only 5+3 and my jeans barely fit?

Preach! While my coworker isn't out partying, he still calls in once a week. Last week was a 4 day week (holiday) and he still called in on Tuesday 🙄🙄 There's a team of 3 of us and we are slammed with work right now. We all suffer when someone is out and take forever to catch back up.

@meatballs37 That’s exactly what I’m thinking! Of course, it’s family though, so saying no would have been tough. But seriously, we can’t afford this. DH and I are both in the wedding and DD is a flower girl. So DD and I both need dresses, DH needs a tux, then we have flights, hotel, rental car, hair and makeup, and a gift to shell out. Her wedding is costing us about $2500. That’s why I’m a hard pass on the bachelorette party.

@srscott3 The older I get, the more I cringe when friends get engaged because it means SO MUCH MONEY to participate in all the things. And with kids in the picture, it's so much more difficult to get away for a weekend. Also, people will act like they're doing you some huge favor by giving you an excuse to get away from your kid. (eyeroll)

@shamrocandroll Eye roll indeed. We were invited to a wedding this past weekend for a family friend in Canada. But it was a kid free wedding. We just moved to Chicago 3 months ago..I don’t know or trust anyone well enough to leave DD and go out of country for a wedding. And even if I took her, everyone I knew back home was invited to this thing. People were still “surprised” I didn’t attend.

@srscott3 good for you for saying you can’t go. I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding next month, the dress is crazy expensive and it’s out of state so traveling is expensive. I said no to her bachelorette party in napa even though I got crap for it, but I still feel so good I said no. If it doesn’t work for you or your fam then that’s the bottom line 💁🏼‍♀️

Supposed to get lunch with an old friend today, told her I’m not sure we can make it bc my two year old has a cold (we’re supposed to meet for lunch at the mall aka GERM MECCA.) she says oh she will be fine, my dog has a cold too and I’m leaving her. BECAUSE A DOG AND TODDLER COLD ARE THE SAME RIGHT?!!

@whitney812 yeah I agree that’s really weird about the dog cold. I’ve got two pups and I feel like your dog is either healthy or they have diarrhea. And that’s probably because they ate something bad. Oh well..

@srscott3 agree about the weddings. My DH and I had a wedding where we knew a lot of family would have to travel. We hoped people would come but understood that it could be too costly. I agree that people just like to assume you’d love to turn their wedding into your dream vacation or something. Just not the case

My BF is to our IT department. I was supposed to get my new laptop on Thursday and be the first one, I had to leave before 4 and they still were not done, so I said no rush and I'm working from home Friday so I'll pick it up Monday. They said thank you and it will be ready Friday by 9 regardless. Today I went to pick it up and the one person said oh the other person did it. That dude spends 15+ minutes trying to find my laptop when the first guy said oh I did it. Then pauses and says 'actually I didn't finish it, but I'll get it done right away', hours later nothing. I don't mind not having it yet but all the back and forth.

@whitney812 I am not a fan of people comparing their dog to my toddler. It's just not the same at all. Huge eye roll to your friend. Props on not responding because I would have said something super snarky back to that.

My BF is the bump on mobile. I've never used it until this weekend and it's nothing like the desktop version. I'm not sure if it's because our wifi is slow or it just sucks. But on a desktop it tells you how many new comments are in a post and takes you to the newest comment you haven't read. Which I really like. The mobile app does none of that. Is that just how it is or is my mobile weird??? It was annoying.

Throwing my agreement in here on the destination wedding thing. I think whether you're throwing a destination wedding or inviting out of town guests, you have to be cool with them just not coming. And if guests DO come, you have to be cool with their presence being their gift. Because, honestly, I'm happy for couples but your out-of-town wedding is NOT necessarily fun or easy.

Also, this might get me flamed, but 2:30 PM Friday weddings? Please push it to 5/6 PM so I don't have to take off work.

@srscott3 - I don't think you should feel badly AT ALL for missing the bachelorette! $1500 is a LOT of money.

My BF today is for DH... Most of the time I appreciate his type A-ness, but he's already hardcore trying to figure out if we should get a nanny, and how many hours should the nanny work, and should we move our oldest to a different preschool, and when should we get a mini van, and what kind of mini van, and all the money this is going to cost, and, and, and, and.... OMG. Stop talking!

I have this cough that I cant get rid of. Dont know if it's an infection or of its because I recently quit smoking, but I've pulled a muscle in my shoulder and I'm so tired of peeing a little every time I have an attack. Lol

My BF right now is this college student that's asking for money from my alma mater and I DON'T WANT TO. I'm having a baby and kinda freaking out how much it's going to cost! hah!
