Any appointments? Questions?: None this week, and chomping at the bit for my first US next Wednesday
Rants/Raves?: rant - I've been using getting KU as an excuse to not exercise, which is definitely making me feel worse because of endorphin withdrawal. Rave - we *might* finally be getting fall temperatures this week and I am psyched to pull out my scarves and long sleeve shirts.
How are you feeling?: Pregnancy rhinitis, intermittent nausea, and hot/cold flashes are definitely kicking my butt right now
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Probably working on the assembly line at a metals fabrication company. Making 5,000 pieces of the same part for 8 hours is miserable!
Suggestion for change: change 'how are you feeling' to 'how are you feeling physically and emotionally'. Talking out mental symptoms/health is just as important I think.

Baby is the size of a(n): ? Same as most in this group lol. For my first child, I carried around an index card with the size per week drawn on it so I could really visualize the size, sorry second child.
Any appointments? Questions?: Two more weeks and two days, painful. I'm really trying to not wish time away but I just need to see that heartbeat.
Rants/Raves?: I'm loving all the fall fests that have been going on, just wish the temps weren't the same as the summer fests, lol.
How are you feeling?: Physically: the sore boobs have calmed way down, I'm actually feeling better the last half weekish than before. I know symptoms come and go but my anxiety about this has kicked up. I was outside and very active this weekend so maybe that was actually helping alleviate my symptoms. Emotionally: my anxiety is getting the better of me here and there. I feel like I'm two speeds of whatever is great/giving in or anxiety rage monster with a short fuse.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I worked at a movie theater for a month. The job was great but the people, especially the manager was shady as sh!t. I was told my paycheck had not come for two paydays in a row, then after working there for five weeks I was called in and told they 'knew' I stole 90 bucks and fired me. I asked for my pay and they said no bc I stole. I was 18 or 19 at the time and after I told this to my mom she went down there and demanded them, and yep there they paychecks were sitting on his desk the whole time!

Rants/Raves?: I’m so excited to be at 6 weeks. I’m really really hoping for a sticky healthy baby. Eek! So exciting
How are you feeling?: Very very nauseous. Headaches.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I haven’t had any that were too bad... thankfully!

Any appointments? Questions?: Not yet...but I have a call in for some Diclegis because this nausea is SO bad and I am having a hard time functioning at work and home.
Rants/Raves?: People in general are making me ranty today lol. I am just miserable and don't want to deal.
How are you feeling?: Like I want to vomit. All day.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I was a hostess at a restaurant for like 3 months in college. It was terrible. The servers were so cliquey and I feel like I had no training whatsoever. Not that it's hard but I literally wasn't shown anything and then servers would get mad if I wasn't seating people as they wanted. I found a new job ASAP

Any appointments? Questions?: First appointment is on 10/11 because of my prior history. Pretty much counting down the minutes.
Rants/Raves?: I was so excited to pick up dinner from Whole Foods tonight, but I got there and the smells were so strong I couldn’t take it. I ended up grabbing the first thing I could find that didn’t make me want to ralph (and then I tried to eat it and it made me want to ralph).
How are you feeling? I’m doing okay, but I’m still anxious and over analyzing every little thing. Yesterday I went for a long walk with a friend and had a bit of achy pain in my right side groin after after which made me immediately think something was wrong. I slept terribly and had nightmares all night, but when I woke up the pain was gone.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I was a nanny for a hot second one summer in high school for a family who kept horses on their property (not that uncommon in AZ where I grew up). They thought my job should include mucking stalls. I disagreed.

Any appointments? Questions?: Have to go for initial bloodwork. Then more on November 3rd and ultrasound November 20.
Rants/raves: when we told my fiancé’s family this weekend, my one sister in law said “I thought you were trying to lose weight for the wedding”. Like really??? I was pretty upset.
How are you feeling?: Just mostly tired.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? McDonald’s. I hated smelling like grease leaving there. Definitely didn’t last long at that one.

Any appointments? Questions?: Had to move my first appointment from 10/23 to 10/25 because of a scheduling conflict. Counting down the days though!
Rants/Raves?: Rant: our dryer is broken. Raves: it’s such a nice day out today!
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Eh. Physically I have lost all symptoms but I’m hoping it’s a come and go situation since it’s still so early. Emotionally, not great. I have GAD even when not pregnant and I was VERY high anxiety last pregnancy too. I’m starting to feel that way a bit again and I’m not looking forward to it.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Never really had a truly awful job. But I worked a lot of retail so I guess I’ll say Victoria’s Secret. People steal so much shit. And trying to keep the panty bars tidy was so frustrating.

Any appointments? Questions?: ultrasound in 9 days! I need to start making a list of questions to ask my doctor.
Rants/Raves?: BF has been reading up on baby’s development all on his own. He was so proud when he told me some little facts he learned; it made me tear up.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: soooo tired. And my boobs are out of control. If anything is going to give me away, it’s these swollen monsters.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I have to go with Pier 1. The ONE corporate CD plus the overwhelmingly perfumed stores made it the worst seasonal job ever.

Any appointments? Questions?: October 17 I have my first ultrasound. Not sure what to expect since this is my first but I'm excited
Rants/Raves?: I have a weekend away with some of my girlfriends this upcoming weekend, which I'm super excited about but it does mean that I will have to tell them I'm pregnant. No hiding my non drinking around them.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Still mostly ok. Very sore boobs, exhaustion, and mild nausea, which comes and goes. This weekend I had none and then today I woke up feeling terrible. Maybe it was because I had to go back to work today....
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? A&F in high school. The worst. That awful perfume + the same music on repeat for a month. I hated that job

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I'm over this full blown, all day long, morning sickness. I can hardly eat anything. Is first tri over yet??? Rave: My boss figured out I am pregnant (the dry cereal all day is kind of a give away) and kind of mentioned it during my midyear review. He was great, said if I need to work from home any day (that's kind of taboo here) or need anything else while I don't feel good just to just let him know. It's kind of nice that someone in the office knows now.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Nausea. All the nausea. Over it.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I worked at a home and garden store in high school. It had potential to be a great place to work but the owner's son was crazy and made it miserable for everyone. He and his mom would have screaming matches in the store. During business hours. In front of customers. Nothing like apologizing for your bosses behavior to a customer...But the owner was always really nice.

Rants/Raves?: No rants this week but so excited about fall weather. My favorite time of year.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Emotionally I’m okay, probably because my appointment is so close. Physically I feel like trash. The nausea hit me like a bus today.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Probably Compass Bank. I hate interacting with people.

Any appointments? Questions?: no appointment until the 24th. DH said he would give me an US at the ER before my appointment. Just so we can see the baby for the first time together. He went be able to come to my appointment.
Rants/Raves?: I'm sick of the sticky southern heat. I would like to have some fall weather now.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: physically I'm all over the place. I wake up from 12-3 every night with intense nausea. During the day I have diarrhea and bouts of exhaustion. I have random heartburn too. Emotionally I'm ok.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Working at Kmart. It was my first job and it was so boring.

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I have too much work and have travel far again this month (week of October 22). Rave: After I return on October 27, I might be able not to travel for the rest of the year (without DH and DS). We are planning a two-week trip to California around Thanksgiving and I can't wait.
How are you feeling?: Fatigue that comes and goes, some nausea, need to eat every 2-3 hours, skin issues, etc. I'm also concerned about keeping the pregnancy, of course (being 40 doesn't provide any reassurance).
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Telemarketing for a fraudulent company. Took me a while to figure out what was going on.

Any appointments? Questions?: my ectopic confirmation scan was supposed to be Monday but I’ve started getting quite intense pain today so my GP has asked me to get it tomorrow instead 😞
Rants/Raves?: nothing at the moment
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Sad that I’m not really able to get excited about anything until it’s confirmed I’m not ectopic. Anxious about the pain I’m in. Anxious about what my family will think as they’ve never met my partner and in previous discussions they said they’d be disappointed if we fell pregnant before they did.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I’ve never hated any job I’ve had, but the one I’m currently in is fairly average. So much turbulence and recently I’ve become the only female in my team and feel like I’ve gone back a million steps in my development and relationship with the operations team. A new senior engineer has pretty much just changed the direction of my career and it’s pretty annoying. If it weren’t for the best maternity leave ever I would have left in May next year when my contract rolls into ongoing BUT 6 months full pay or 12 months half pay is pretty amazing. Haha.

Rants/Raves?: it’s hump day! Rant - I have a long busy day ahead of me and I’m already tired.
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: eh symptoms are still come and go. I think my nausea might be better if I eat every so often so when I forget to eat I notice it more. New one is good aversion, NOTHING sounds good to eat, and I love food! Exhaustion is in full force, I’ve gotten nothing done all week bc I crash after dinner. Emotionally: a roller coaster. One minute I think “lightning doesn’t strike twice right?” But I’m still struggling to get excited about this, maybe after tomorrow’s US
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? I worked in the kitchen of a nursing home/hospital. It was awful for so many reasons

Any appointments? Questions?: this afternoon is my first appt with the OB. Mostly just to confirm pregnancy and schedule the first ultrasound.
Rants/Raves?: so we were planning on moving in the spring. We found a house we love last week. We put an offer in and are quickly trying to ready our house to put it on the market. It’s been quite the week!
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?: Physically: much better! Very little nausea today and no vomiting! Yay! Emotionally? It’s been a roller coaster of a week: BFP and putting in an offer on a new house and moving stuff from our house into storage so we can sell ours. With a nauseated momma, a toddler and two cats...packing is moving so.slowly. And negotiations on our dream house? Emotionally crazy.
GTKY: What’s the worst job you ever had? Probably my first job out of college. Asked to do so many things outside my job description that eventually I had to quit. It took a toll on me emotionally.
