How are you feeling? Awful. Still nauseous most of the time, still have trouble eating, I skipped dinner last night because I couldn’t even stand the thought of food and tired cause insomnia. Please please let the better 2nd tri feelings start soon

We told our families this past weekend. Went pretty well. I don’t think we’ll do any sort of announcement. I might post some family pictures on Christmas and it will probably be pretty obvious. Maybe for thanksgiving. I don’t have any sort of solid cutesy plan.

I had an excellent ultrasound appointment yesterday. The nucal translucency scan. It was long because baby was wiggling like crazy and first, then I emptied my very full bladder and baby took a nap and wouldn’t straighten and get off my uterus for like 15 min. But we got the measurements and all is well.

Rant: I have to start a new and complicated and hard diet (not pregnancy related) called low FODMAP diet. It’s a lot to take in.
I have a cold (not too bad) and this new diet and am getting migraines and headaches and am tired and am emotional and excited and happy baby has all the parts we can see at this size.
Pregnancy announcement has been in stages. For the most part slowly telling people we interact with daily and family and some good friends who knew we were trying. My
sister is going to take pictures for us this week and we will add in a chalkboard (painted with washable paint) that says
“big sister in training”
has a little bunny rabbit face and ears
and due April 2019.
The bunny is our hint as to when in April.
My my daughter is very excited about being a big sister so we used wording she would love. She is 3 on dec 20.

Rants/Raves? Rave: Taking a quick getaway with H and DS this weekend, woohoo. Rant: I still feel really shitty and I hope this pregnancy doesn't ruin the trip for me. Also H is insisting on doing dinner and a movie tonight and I'm trying to be a good sport but I am so not confident I'll get through it

GTKY: Have you made your pregnancy announcement? If so, what did you do and if not, what are you planning to do? We probably won't make a big announcement. In the last few days we told my parents and SIL by sending a picture of DS in a big brother shirt, and now H needs to tell his parents and the rest of his family. I guess we'll just text the extended family in another week or so after we see the NT scan results, and then eventually I'll just look really pregnant and any random Instagram post will make the "public" announcement for me.
Any appointments? Questions? Finally had my appointment!! Everything is fine and baby is very active. I get my Panorama testing started next week!

How are you feeling? Tired but not as exhausted as past pregnancies. I'm just tired of working and would love to win the lottery so I can stay home with my kids.
GTKY: Have you made your pregnancy announcement? If so, what did you do and if not, what are you planning to do? We did! I did family photos and surprised the kids (and my mom) while pretending to be staging a photo. I was actually videoing them figuring it out lol. Then we posted the family photo with a party of 7 hashtag as well as the video.
DS1 is 7. DD is 1. DS2 is coming in late April.
Any appointments? Questions? Next Wednesday for NT scan. Not many questions, just nerves at this point. I need to get in touch with insurance tonight and see if they cover NIPT- I have a feeling they won’t despite my history since I’m under 35...
Rants/Raves? I want to eat like.. all the time. Even when I’m nauseous and trying not to puke, which is apparently still happening.
How are you feeling? Physically mostly ok- feeling tired, chubby, and hungry. Having killer PGAL brain this week, though.

We might start telling close friends after the NT scan, but we’re not doing any public announcements until after the anatomy scan.

Rave: due to my bmi, my midwife sent me for an early GTT, and I passed 🤗
How are you feeling?
Awful most days and most of the time. So exhausted, so nauseous, even despite the medication my midwife prescribed. I havent been working out, which is incredibly unlike me...pre preggo, I worked out religiously...now, I think maybe a handful of workouts in nearly 12 weeks. I hate it, it makes me so upset, but I'm trying to listen to my body.

We told my parents and sisters 2 weekends ago with bandanas on my dogs, "big brother" and "big sister." They didnt get it at first, it was hysterical.

Rants/Raves? I hate that everyone I talk to about baby/pregnancy only wants to tell me it gets worse and all the bad stuff. Need to hear some good stuff too.
How are you feeling? Doing ok. Nauseous here and there. I feel kinda achy like the round ligament thing is happening but I have no idea. Dr. Didn’t seem concerned.

So work people know, my sister, his dad, his best friend and my 3 close friends. We are going to do a Facebook announcement. A piece of my favorite pizza on one side, his on the other and a little pizza bagel bite in the middle, all in front of a sign that says coming soon! Lol

We haven’t. My work knows, dh’s family knows and my parents. Telling my sisters tomorrow. We have family pictures scheduled at the end of the month, so we may have DS hold a big brother sign of some sort.

Appointments? Questions? I had an appointment on Friday. Still a little too early to be heard on the heart monitor so they did an u/s. The little bean jumped for me!
Rants/Raves? grocery shopping is hard. I want everything and nothing all at once.
How are you feeling? honestly, a hot scattered mess until I had an acupuncture treatment yesterday. I'm incredible emotional and struggling to process. I have hopes that the new moon in Libra will help me to bring a little more balance. My energy is coming back. That feels refreshing.
GTKY Pregnancy Announcement: We didn't do an official pregnancy announcement. We told friends and family as we saw them and just recently made a small FB announcement.

Noticing a sore throat today. Not sure what can be done though. Should I go to doctor or just wait it out?

I have not announced on social media. Just told family and friends by word of mouth. I plan to post in November. Something like a Thanksgiving post!
Any appointments? Questions? Weekly IV at my midwife/doctors office to help compensate for my lack of nutrition and hydration since I’m struggling with HG.
Rants/Raves? Can’t wait to put this part of pregnancy behind me and pray that my baby gets everything he/she needs!

@izzymarie80 re pregnancy good stuff, I love showing off my cute bump!! I love being pregnant for the holidays (adorable bump photos and feeling slightly less guilty eat just a bit extra). I love baby heart beats and feeling the first bubble sensations (quickening), baby hiccups, kicks and rolls, the first time your partner gets to see/feel baby moving. Talking to your baby, learning a new lullaby and singing to your bump. Baby stuff, registry, washing and putting away tiny baby clothes, setting up the nursery. ALL of it!!!!!

I’m more productive when laying around than non-pregnant people when working hard... because I am growing a human.
The baby moving is magical. And it gets more fun as you go. Especially hiccups.
Being bigger but feeling more beautiful.
Planning -for me- is soooo much fun and you get to do lots of it.
Labor and delivery are hard but I feel like your significant other sees you as a warrior princess and cannot even fathom how awesome you are and then the way you and significant other melt into a love puddle after. Mm. The best.

Rants/Raves? Wasn’t planning to “go public” until after next week’s NT scan, but I’m worried I’m already showing. Dressing for work is becoming a challenge.
How are you feeling? I feel good overall, but I have some sort of pinched nerve or sciatica in my left buttock that is making it next to impossible to walk. It finally eased up some today, but I haven’t been able to walk in days, which is really frustrating because walking is my primary mode of transportation, next to the subway. It’s incredibly painful and I’m at a loss of what to do. I’ve tried ice, heat, yoga stretches, occasional Tylenol, and nothing seems to help. Anyone else have this?
GTKY: Have you made your pregnancy announcement? If so, what did you do and if not, what are you planning to do? We told our parents at 9 weeks. We were in my hometown for a wedding a few weeks ago and got to tell my parents in person, which was awesome. I framed a photo of my 8w scan for my mom and got a “Papou” t-shirt for my dad. They were thrilled! We mailed the same framed photo to my MIL, which worked out because our announcement coincided with her birthday. My FIL intercepted the package (we just told him a surprise birthday gift was coming) and then we called them up on FaceTime and had MIL open her gift. She was so surprised and there were LOTS of happy tears! We told our brothers and families over FaceTime the following day (none of our families are local), but otherwise we’re waiting to tell friends in person after the NT scan. I don’t plan to make a big deal on social media, but I think our Christmas card will be an announcement.
The positives that @kbirchtree mentioned are all true. Plus, you don't have to suck in your gut for 9 months and people will find the bump adorable! Once I felt better I was SO happy being pregnant - I loved just hanging out with my little guy while he wiggled around, and I totally talked to him because what the hell, they can hear you. Also I ordered tons of takeout and felt zero guilt. It's really, really not that bad. Child birth can be pretty rough, but it's one day (give or take) and then you have your baby.
Ooh also, if you like shopping, you get to buy yourself all new clothes. So what if they're maternity? Shopping is shopping and some stuff is really cute!
Any appointments? Questions? Really wishing I would have followed through with asking my doctor to see me every 3 weeks again this pregnancy like she did with my last. My PGAL brain is just working overdrive lately. I do have an appointment on 10/15 where we will hopefully hear the heartbeat and do our prenatal testing (no US though).
Rants/Raves? I wish my husband would step up a little more. He works a physical job so he wants to rest in the evenings. But, hello, I'm growing a human. I'm EXHAUSTED all the time. Plus I'm off my meds so my emotions are working overtime.
How are you feeling? See above. Tired. Emotionally and physically. Plus, food NEVER sounds good right now. But, have to eat. Then go throw up half of it.
GTKY: Have you made your pregnancy announcement? If so, what did you do and if not, what are you planning to do? No announcement yet. We told my parents and my sister. Plus, I had to tell my cousins. We are all super close. I am planning on telling work on October 12 because one of my coworkers had a dream back in April that I came into work on October 12 and told her I was pregnant. So....making that happen. Lol. After the appointment on October 15 we will likely make our FB announcement. I just want everyone to know so they can understand why I don't want to do things or why I'm crabby and tired.

Rants/raves: the gagging has subsided a little. Just enough I could still go to the dentist today and not throw up on the hygienist. lol. The exhaustion is crazy though. I fell asleep twice on the couch today, once while DD was awake and wreaking havoc in the living room.
Feeling: yeah, tired and gross. Honestly stoked to be a week and a half ish from second tri.
GTKY: parents knew within a week of us basically. Sisters in law found out gradually. Brothers did too. My closest friends know. I got my shirt in the mail yesterday for my announcement photo so I’m excited. I’ll be announcing to the world probably on 10/19.

First apt with new obgyn today wanted to deliver at a hospital with a NICU per my sister’s recommendation she is a l&d nurse. Got my NIPT results back on Monday which was thrilling low risk and it’s a boy!
Rants/Raves? Just super stoked for my rainbow baby it feels unreal that everything is looking good getting really excited for our first baby:)
How are you feeling? Slightly better nausea better this week have had some bad headaches and most days very exhausted in the afternoons just want to do nothing, sensitive to smells, less cravings more aversions now.

We’ve told friends and family following NIPT results. I surprised my husband with a little blueberry truffle, baby vans (so so cute) and a blue onesie to tell him the sex which was really fun. Not going to tell work until December, I don’t want to be passed over for opportunities it’s kind of a weird thing to navigate with career. When are others telling work?
Any appointments? Questions? I had my NT scan and Prelude Prenatal screen today. NT looked good now just to wait on prelude results. My due date moved back to the date I was originally at so we’re sticking with 4/27. Also had my first official OB visit.
Rants/Raves? We are still undecided if we want to find out the baby’s sex. I opted to have the results as part of the prelude screening but still no idea if we want to know or not. We didn’t find out with our first 2 but this is our last. Part of me wants to know so I can either keep all the boy clothes we have or donate them. I have so many totes full of clothes.
How are you feeling? Nausea and crazy acne. I feel like a teenage all over again.

Any appointments? Questions? I’m high risk due to benign liver tumors (caused by years of bcp ironically) so seeing maternal fetal medicine and my hepatologist in 2 weeks

How are you feeling? I had horrible gagging/vomiting in the mornings, nausea and exhaustion all day. I’m feeling better all around this week which is freaking me out! Hoping it’s just because I’m nearing second trimester?
GTKY: Have you made your pregnancy announcement? If so, what did you do and if not, what are you planning to do? Our immediate families know and we’ve been slowly telling others we’re close too. I work with chemo patients and around radiology daily so had to tell work basically as soon as I took the test, but they’ve been wonderful. Making the big announcement after next week!
