How far along? EDD?
32 weeks 2 days! EDD is Dec 1 - 54 days away!!! How can that be possible?!

How is everyone feeling this week?
It's getting harder to move around. I hadn't been feeling it very much, but all of a sudden I feel huge! I saw my parents on Saturday and the very first thing my mom said was "wow! You're getting really big!" Thanks, mom! Sleeping hasn't been fun either. I keep waking up around 3:30-4 and not being able to fall back asleep. And lack of sleep makes me grumpy! But the reflux seems to have calmed down, which is nice.

Any upcoming appointments?
OB appointment on Thursday. I'm much more excited for our first birthing class and hospital tour tomorrow night!! And for our maternity pics on Saturday!

I race remote control cars! It's something I've done for awhile with my dad and brothers. I've been on hiatus pretty much since finding out about the baby, but I'm really excited to be able to share that hobby with baby bean when he's older!

Hello beautiful ladies!

How far along? EDD? 30w5d
How is everyone feeling this week? Not so amazing. Ca't sleep, can't get comfortable and everything hurts (mainly upper back and left side when I sleep that way). I'm so tired today The baby keeps changing his position. Last week the high risk doctor saw him on my right side head down and said he wont change his position for the rest of the pregnancy! So wrong! My baby has just too much curiosity in his little soul he cant settle down haha. He changed his position literally the same night. I think he was transverse but now I think he changed again to left side, but cant tell if his head is down or up! So hard to tell where his limbs are! I envy people who can bell map.
Any upcoming appointments? Not until two weeks later

@mag1cbeli3ver I want to get my pics taken too, but every place I checked are charging over $1K all the way to $2-3K, for maternity pics!!! It's crazy expensive here

wow! We have a 1-hour shoot and it's $100. We don't get any prints with it, but we get a flash drive with the proofs. She is an up-and-coming photographer, so she was a lot cheaper than others in our area. I first tried the person my brother and SIL used for their shoot, and she wanted $300 for a 1/2 hour, with only 6 proofs. Um, no thanks!!

How is everyone feeling this week?

I’m still mostly okay, but I know that won’t last too much longer, so just trying to enjoy for now.

Any upcoming appointments?

30 week scan with MFM on Thursday (at 29w6d). Curious to see how baby’s doing since we haven’t had a good peek since 20 weeks (not counting fetal echo at 22 weeks, which focused on her heart).

I apologize I can’t remember what I’ve shared where. I’m a relatively new private pilot (got my certificate in 2014 - also got into it - though a bit later than intended - because of my dad), but have been on hiatus since getting engaged, married, pregnant, then *TW* not pregnant, then the many IVF cycles to try to get and stay pregnant again. I hope to get back to it eventually but for now it’s just been a little xplane flying here and there.

Also, I have a twin brother.

Hey y'all, still here!

35+1 today. Which means, this is my last week being pregnant!d I won't lie, I'm so ready to be done. Between the contractions, back pain, and baby so low, I swear he's going to fall out, it's time.

Two appointments this week on Tuesday and Thursday. NSTs and u/s. I will get my c section date on Tuesday and then I will begin my official countdown to meet this little man.

GTKY: I sang opera in college. I still sing a lot, but I'm nowhere near where I used to be, but my toddler loves it.

How is everyone feeling this week? It's getting really hard to move around and I am still working which is fun because I am always getting up and down.
Any upcoming appointments? I have an appointment on Thursday, just a belly check and doppler so nothing exciting.
GTKY: Tell us something random/unique about yourself that you haven't shared yet! My husband and I a big Jeep people and loved to off road and take the Jeep out before the babies. Hope we're able to get back into it!

How is everyone feeling this week?

I’m feeling fine. Sleep is terrible but I guess that’s expected. My blood sugar numbers have been much better this week after we raised the insulin dosages by a lot last week.

Any upcoming appointments?

As of Monday this week I’ll be having 2 NST every week.

Tomorrow, other than the NST I will also have a 32w scan. And they also agreed that I see a high risk dr as I haven’t gained any weight in 4 weeks!!! The last 4 weeks were tough with the GD and I was feeling hungry at times as I didn’t eat as much as I wanted. But I do feel the baby. So I’m not too worried about him. As one high risk dr told me few months ago: the baby is like a parasite, they will get all the food and nutrition they need.

I’m a big classic rock fan. And will fly all over the country/world for a good concert by one of my faves.

@prudence9-2 So glad your GD numbers are looking better! That's awesome! Did something happen to where you have to start doing the NST twice a week? Have fun seeing baby at your scan tomorrow!!

@mag1cbeli3ver Thank you too! I feel massive haha, they won't let me go past 38 weeks really. So in my perfect master plan universe of pregnancy I am hoping to make it to 11/19 so my ML will still be in place in Feb when its times to travel to my older brother's wedding. Cross your fingers for me haha

Update from this week: I am officially the most pregnant I've ever been! My CS has been scheduled for Monday morning. I will be 36+1. Baby is measuring 1 week ahead, weighs about 6lb4oz, and has a head in the 97th percentile. I expect him to be closer to 7lbs by the time he is born, since he gains weight so fast. He's gained over a pound and a half in 2 weeks.

@BusinessWife I went to a small private school called Huntingdon College. I loved it.

Yay @wildrainbow! Enjoy your last quiet weekend for a while

. I hope all goes uneventfully.

@BusinessWife I kinda took my sweet time (was working full time) - I think it was maybe a year and a half between my first practical lesson (did a ground school thru local community college before that) and when I finally got my certificate. I soloed after maybe two months - but was in checkride prep for like half a year! Technically you only need 40 hours to get your certificate, but most people have more (nothing wrong with more - you still get to log all of it - but it’s nice not to have to pay an instructor). My dad’s actually a CFI but he wouldn’t teach me because he said I wouldn’t listen to him

- so I got to pay someone else. Plus my dad sold his trainer and his current plane isn’t a good learning one (complex/high performance). I retained the most when I was able to fly 2-3 times a week. Fortunately in SoCal the weather is pretty cooperative, but the air traffic is kind of crazy busy (I flew out of Santa Monica) compared to where I grew up (Central CA). It is a pricey hobby though. I do miss it, just didn’t need the extra stress with the 6-7 IVF cycles. Sorry - long answer to a simple question!

No that's awesome! @artemis618 DH can see how pricey it can get pretty quickly... he's already started researching how to buy a plane, and also some of the experimental planes? (Omg, what have I done!? Lol) What does your dad fly?

We have a handful of smaller airports around, so we have some options where to go. I guess he's still figuring out what the best way to go about getting the certificate might be. Maybe just pick an airport and go for it? I know they offer the ground school part online, too.

@BusinessWife A couple people I know are into experimental planes - sometimes people can find kits that other people just didn’t want to finish (it takes A LOT of time to build one yourself). My dad flies a Mooney Eagle now. I learned mostly in a 152 (cheaper) or 172 (more comfortable for longer flights). He had a couple of Cessnas he was saving for me to fly but I took too long (saw my dad was getting older so I figured I’d better do it while we could still enjoy it together). My dad’s 3 older brothers were Air Force so when he turned 17 he got his certificate because he wanted to be like them (so he’s been flying like 67 years). Of course it’s easier to start when your family planes and you live among fields

After my dad retired he actually went back to school full time (4 semesters at like 17 units/semester) to learn to be an airplane mechanic (so he could work on his own plane legally

. But really more just as a hobby - he wouldn’t do anything big without supervision), so now he’s a certified A&P too. I would go straight to private pilot though - light sport is too limiting if you’re going to go through the trouble. Instrument rating is key for safety - I’d gotten all my cross country hours and was supposed to start...but then the engaged, married, pregnant, not pregnant, etc...

I’d just interview instructors and give one a try. And don’t be afraid to switch if it turns out not to be a good fit.
