  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

31 weeks tomorrow! He's big, just gonna leave it at that lol

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

Feeling pretty good, my cough is finally going away!!! Woo!! Symptoms though, sleeping like crap, craving food I can't have because of GD, irritability, exhausted. I will say my sciatic nerve hasn't been too bad the last week or so!

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Just feeling sluggish today. I know it's not a vacation, but I'm so looking forward to my maternity leave!! I just need some time away from work and can't because I'm saving all my PTO/sick leave for maternity leave.

Also, only 8w2d until induction!! Aahhhh!!!

GTKY: What are three things you never leave the house with?

Right now, my cell phone, blood sugar meter, and keys. In a matter of a few weeks a pacifier, diapers, and spit rags will be my top things lol.

  • @CecilB93 8 weeks is so soon! Dumb question, but how soon PP can you go back to your normal, not GD diet? Hopefully right away!

How far along are you? How big is baby?

30+5! Apparently she shrunk down to a cantaloupe lol

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

I'm good. Always tired. Pelvic pain is kind of flairing up up again, but overall I'm in really good spirits!

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

My shower is in a week and a half, we have a 5 hour long newborn care class this weekend, then coming up we have a CPR class, and a 4 week birthing class. So much to do, so little time! Don't get me wrong though, I'm stoked for it all!

GTKY: What are three things you never leave the house with?

    Phone, wallet, chapstick

  • @Hollyyyyy You are really packing in the classes!  Mine don’t start until November which seems so far away!

How far along are you? How big is baby?

30 weeks + 4 days.  The size of a platypus!

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

Nothing new just increasingly achy, sometimes barely able to move due to back pain.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Work is sooo busy! And it will be right up to my time off mid-November.  There is no clear training plan in place to train my replacement so I have to come up with it in this short time. I don’t know how I am going to get through it and accomplish everything I need to.

GTKY: What are three things you never leave the house with?

For a dog walk - Pup, phone, bear spray (we are in bear/cougar country)

Anything else - Phone, water bottle, wallet

  • @Hollyyyyy right away!! My first meal after baby is going to be a big plate of spaghetti and garlic bread lol. And dang girl with all the classes!! We have our hospital tour this Saturday, same hospital as last time but I figured it would help for DS to see it in a positive light before I'm there. I kept wanting to do a CPR class (especially for DH who has never had one) but they're so pricey and we just can't afford it right now :cold_sweat: I did have a class in college, so I know generally what to do, I'm a little rusty though.

@Desiree113 we're training our new girl to be prepared for when I'm gone, I feel so useless because my boss wants her doing it all so she's prepared, which leaves me with nothing to do!

  • Oooh that is wonderful @CecilB93! I bet pasta will never taste so good!

How far along are you? How big is baby? 31 weeks, size of a large movie popcorn

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Feeling good, for the most part. Tons of BH, and baby is now the size where she tries to kick a hole out my side and I have to shove her foot back in.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Rant: took my hospital tour this morning! It's really easy to get to the birth center area, and was fun to take a peek at everything. The floor seemed super calm and quiet, huge rooms, etc. I'm so exciiiited! FIL also got all the baby stuff down from the attic and MIL has the toddler right now, so I might go ahead and start setting up the newborn area in the guest bedroom. I mean I have laundry to fold and the kitchen is a mess, but #priorities

GTKY: What are three things you never leave the house with? Cell phone, AirPods, wallet (specifically mil ID!)

  • @PensiveCrayon I know! I'm so excited to eat pasta again!! Lol, they will monitor my sugars a couple times while I'm in the hospital after birth, but otherwise I'm free once baby is out! Also, +1 to baby kicking a hole out my side and pushing limbs back in lol, that's the best description I've ever heard for that.

  • How far along are you?

31 weeks tomorrow!  But my first was born 10 days late and my 2nd was 9 days late so I'm expecting this baby to over cook too.  So I probably have more like 10 weeks to go!

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
I bounce between good and bad days. My hands and arms are starting to go numb a lot more often and I have been waking up to pee more frequently.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary
I am really looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again. And beer. Definitely beer. And cider. And champagne.

    GTKY: Phone, chapstick, TUMS.

  • @CecilB93 I’m happy your cough is going away! Also, can you maybe look specifically for a non-certification CPR class? I got us signed up for a cheap non-cert class for a brush up - neither one of us has whacked the CPR baby in years.
@Hollyyyyy Good question (about the GD diet)
    @Desiree113 +1 achy
@PensiveCrayon I’m happy YFIL got that stuff down from the attic!
@morgantu I’m excited that your mum is a helpful lady and ready to use her skills
@whoberry The other day I laid on top of my U-shaped pillow and read while laying mostly on my front parts - it was so comfortable!

How far along are you? How big is baby?
31+1, babe is probably as long as some veggie

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Good! I think my feet are swelling faster than they used to, but I guess that's unavoidable. My new symptom is that I'm feeling more stretching body parts. Last night my insides were achy, then today my exterior tum felt tight like a drum - fixed it with oily lotion of course.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Dear Diary, I loved my grocery pick up yesterday! It's totally going to change my grocery shopping. My shopper was super nice, and I was happy that she did my shopping while I was at the OB. The things that didn't get filled were NBD (like an extra carton of milk, and laundry booster stuff). I can't use coupons, but I don't use them often enough to actually save money, so that's cool. Also, Walmart has a tasty lentil-flour pasta that DH likes, so I'm extra excited to easily buy more lentil pasta in the house

GTKY: What are three things you never leave the house with?
Wallet/purse (purse is very small, just a mobile pocket), keys, phone
