WAYDTGKU: OPK, PNVs, attempting BBT, green tea/grapefruit juice
R/R: finally got a smiley on my OPK today! Never used this kind of test before but I guess I’m at “high” fertility now...just in time for lots of Weekend HIO 😂 rant: just walked the dog for like 15 minutes and am SWEATING. Darn you Kentucky and your heat/humidity. Luckily the 10 day forecast looks awesome and some fall weather is finally on the horizon!
CS/Q: I actually have a chart this month! Started using FF but can’t figure out how to post it. But failed at temping today so there’s not much to see anyway.
Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! ETA: words because bump mobile
*lurking* @b_1029 Yay for positive OPK! To post your chart, just take a screenshot on your phone. To put it in the spoiler, click on the paragraph symbol above and it’ll put a gray box in your post. Then just add the screenshot.
WAYDTGKU: temping, b6 & vitex, OPKs, HIO as much as possible
R/R: rant - my ob/gyn never got back to me. I’m really irritated. But I have an appt with her next month to go over my short LP and will be coming with reciepts documenting my weird AFs the past two cycles. I’m pretty much going to demand hormone testing.
CS/Q: does it seem appropriate to ask for hormone testing when I’m having LP of 9 or 10 days? Coupled with my excruciating cramping yet extremely light AF?
@chichiphin I think it's totally appropriate to ask for one! If she doesn't grant you one, go see a naturopath, they are super open to that stuff -- they'll just send you to lab. Sometimes you can even find a fertility naturopath, depending on where you live.
R/R: Haven’t got a positive OPK result yet and having a mini-meltdown. But last night we had a fun date night! I decided to take a day off of Metformin because I really wanted to drink.
CS/Q: I don’t have enough data on FF for anything to make sense.
@chichiphin - I don't think its too much to ask. I'm seconding everyone else's suggestion to push for the testing. Who knows what they'll find? I think healthcare professionals are generally trained to look for gross pathology rather than question things that may fall on the the edge of "normal".
@chichiphin You are your best advocate! If you have a feeling something is wonky, it probably is! Also, the tests you're asking for aren't invasive, simple blood tests, so I would be surprised if your doctor was against it.
@brookert615 No need for freak outs at this point!
I'm just sitting here at CD12 waiting for a positive OPK and being sick with zero sex drive but since I lost September FW to travelling I refuse to let this one go to waste, too.
Month/Cycle: 3 after benched 21 total with 10/11 medically benched
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: HIO, pnv, temping opks
R/R: I feel horrible. I am in the worse flair (autoimmune) that I have had in a very long time, with a terrible headache on top of it (or maybe because of it). I also slept in and laid around all day, which feels like a waste to me. But, now I am enjoying a late lunch/early dinner and a bottle of Chianti. I want to lay down and watch tv, but I just finished a series and can’t decide what I want to watch.
CS/Q: not much to see yet
@chichiphin I would definitely think hormone testing and an ultrasound would be called for.
@literatureandink I hope you feel better, and if not, I hope you can HiO.
@literatureandink ugh I hope you can get your mojo back for the FW @holly321 I’m so sorry your flare up is so terrible. Hopefully you can find a good show! I’d suggest the marvelous Mrs maisel if you have amazon prime
@cpiper39 thank you for explaining the spoiler! I haven’t been able to figure it out.
Month/Cycle: benched until testing is done
CD: 15
WAYDTGKU: started back on metformin and supplements, bbt, working on losing weight.
R/R: Finally, finally, finally got a referral and appt with the fertility dr. Now I just get to wait the rest of the month.
We have a park within a couple of minutes of our house with hiking trails that I’ve been getting up and going on 2-3 mile walk/hikes everyday lately. Really hoping to keep up the momentum and lose some weight. I know it’s going to be something the dr will mention, so I need to get a head start on it.
CS/Q: this is my first cycle temping and I feel it’s all over the place. Hopefully the next cycle or two I’ll get it figured out.
@chichiphin definitely push for testing! @brookert615 Cd 13 is still early, I’ve been known to O as late as CD 21. Just keep HIO @holly321 Oh no I hope you feel better soon.
Month/Cycle: 5/5 this go around, been trying since 5/17 with 6 benched months
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: Supplements, EOD HIO after AF, Preseed, charting
R/R: I took a break from the dailies last cycle because life was just to busy. However I am seriously missing the interaction so I'm back this cycle. Spent today painting one of our bedrooms and will finish painting it tomorrow. Excited to get this project behind me, been trying to since July.
WAYDTGKU: Temping, for all the good it's doing. Following up with specialists
R/R: Rave - We went to a local raffle to support our Fire Dept and won lift tickets to a big ski area near us! Rant... Well... CD 1. But, good, because I have been having two to three month cycles and trying to figure out what's up
@chichiphin I'm sorry about your doctor. I hate how this process involves so much waiting for results and doctors to get back to us. I think it's more than appropriate to ask for hormone testing for a short LP. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon and doesn't put up any kind of fight when you ask for it.
@brookert615 FX for O soon! I'm so glad that you had a great date night the other night.
@literatureandink I hope you start feeling better soon. I felt the same way with DH because we lost last month too so we said screw it we're still trying.
@kindbytealikat Welcome back! That's great that you're getting something done that you've been working on for awhile. I need to paint our bedrooms too and our guest bathroom but I've been putting it off. What color did you choose for your rooms?
@whatsbumpinpumpkin Sorry to hear about CD1. Hope that you find answers soon regarding your cycles. That's so awesome about the ski tickets! I've never been skiing before.
Month/Cycle: 8/10
CD: 15
WAYDTGKU: pnv, bbt, opk, cm, pre-seed, etc
R/R: Got my first + OPK today. I'm still sick but feeling a LOT better than on Friday so DH and I decided to still go for it this month. It's a beautiful outside with a nice breeze so we walked the pups around the neighborhood and now watching scary movies on tv. Good weekend all in all.
@b_1029 I’m over the heat and humidity too. I thought for sure fall was officially here last week, and now it’s close to 90 again.
@chichiphin absolutely demand testing! You deserve some answers.
@holly321 I’ve been binging House, even though I’ve seen it a million times. Downton Abbey is always a favorite though! I can’t wait for season 2 of Mrs. Maisel.
@littleredm The room I painted this week was a pale great on top/from windowsill up, a white stripe around the room consistent with windowsill, and a dark navyish blue the bottom. I still need to paint the baseboards whites and touch up the white stripe and I'll be completely done.
