So sore, is this normal?

We did the Novarel trigger last night. I was so nervous but actually the shot wasn't bad at all. However, starting last night my ass is killing me! It feels like a huge bruise and it's hard to put weight on my right leg. Does this sound normal? Thanks:)

    I've only done the trigger for IUIs, but I've done 4 of those.  The same thing happens to me.  Only once did it hurt right away, all the others it was just sore the next morning/day.  That's why they say to "try" and put all your weight on the other leg before getting it.  But yes, it is completely normal.  It will feel better before you know it...and hopefully it will be all worth it!  GL!!

    Yes!  Last month my ass hurt the entire 2ww, and after.  Couldn't hardly put any pressure on the right side and it hurt every time I made a change in movement.  The things we have to go through!  I am taking my Novarel trigger shot this afternoon or tomorrow.  GL to you!

    Just wait till the PIO shots.  You get them daily in the rump!  Mine butt hurt so bad for a few weeks that just walking hurt.  I had to sit on a heating pad a good portion of the day.  The things we do for a baby!  It's totally worth it!  Best of luck!

    This was going to be my suggestion.? It worked great for me with all of my IM shots.? I would lean forward a bit (like against a counter top or piece?of furniture), take all of my weight off the leg on?the side of the injection, then DH would give me the shot.?I had no bruising, lumps, or excessive soreness.

    Unfortunately, some soreness is normal.? You may want to sit on a heating pad tonight to loosen the knot.

    I  should have sat on the heating pad last night. I was saving it for the PIO shots, didn't know this one would hurt also:( Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely be trying it.
