1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks, endive. Weighs almost a pound!
2) How are you feeling? Really good! Baby is moving tons and I feel pretty normal physically.
3) Any appointments this week? Meeting with a potential doula
4) R/R/Q - question: now that the AS is done, what comes next test/monitoring-wise typically? Rave: I ordered some leggings from old Navy and now that I've got the right size, they seem great for the price!
5) What are some of your hobbies? I'm not big on hobbies but I love NHL hockey and follow it relatively closely. I like doing lots of things (sewing, knitting, gardening...) but find time for very little.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? - 20 weeks, banana!
2) How are you feeling? - Good! Trying to go med free today. So far no nausea, maybe I’m actually rid of it?
3) Any appointments this week? - AS on Friday. Nervous and excited!
4) R/R/Q
5) What are some of your hobbies? - I guess I can say painting/drawing/printmaking, but I have a degree in it so it’s probably more than a hobby? I do it on my spare time now though, as I didn’t have the guts to go full-on starving artist. So it’s probably a hobby after all.
DS born 2/18/2019 DD born 4/1/2023 Baby #3 EDD 11/21/2024
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 20, banana
2) How are you feeling? The good: increased energy and libido. The bad: nausea is still kind of there, restless legs at night, insomnia, and headaches!
3) Any appointments this week? Not until my AS next Thursday.
4) R/R/Q I'm so stoked for my gender reveal party/bday party next weekend!
5) What are some of your hobbies? Podcasts since I drive a lot for work (I work in public health). Currently listening to a sci-fi series called Tanis. I also love to cook, bake, decorate my house for all seasons and holidays, and watch awful reality TV.
@becks_726 most doctors order a glucose screening between 24-28 weeks to check for gestational diabetes. Then around 28 weeks you will also have some blood drawn to check for antibodies, check for anemia, etc. Then for low risk women, that’s about the gist of it until approx 35 weeks when they do a vaginal/rectal swab for group B strep bacteria to determine if you need antibiotics during labor. So after this next month or so it should be smooth sailing. Just more frequent appointments.
After my appointment next week, I will see my OB every 2 weeks until January when it will be weekly until my jan 29 induction.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 22 weeks - a coconut! I'm almost 5 months pregnant!
2) How are you feeling? My lower back still hurts pretty much every day. Other than that, no complaints! I love being pregnant, especially now that I've got a nice bump!
3) Any appointments this week? Nope!
4) R/R/Q I'm so glad it's starting to feel like fall, I love fall
5) What are some of your hobbies? I don't think it's really a hobby, but I enjoy fitness and nutrition! If I had more time/money I'd take kickboxing classes again and try out aerial silks!
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks, an endive (googled it and still don't know what it is)
2) How are you feeling? Good! Bump finally looks like I'm pregnant and not just gaining some weight haha. I felt baby kick from the outside this weekend and lots more movement in general.
3) Any appointments this week? Had the AS Monday, got to see some awesome images of baby that made my eyes leak. Have to make a follow up though because they couldn't get good images of the brain
4) R/R/Q I guess my rave would be about my husband. I've had some great conversations with my him about baby, pregnancy and parenting. I love when he adds in little bits of info he's leaned from his dad book. Like today I commented that my inny belly button is starting to disappear and he goes "don't worry, my book says it'll go back to normal"
5) What are some of your hobbies? Snuggling with my doodle. Reading. Adding things to my online shopping cart and never buying them
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 22 weeks- woah!!! 2) How are you feeling? I am feeling pretty calm and enjoying life! Yeah, heartburn, random hip pain, a little tired, etc... but I think I have finally accepted this is all temporary and am just going with it.
3) Any appointments this week? nope!
4) R/R/Q want to try for natural birth so have a couple books to read. DH does not like to read, so I’m worried I’ll be carrying all the information?? I feel like I need him to know stuff. Idk, what if I can’t advocate for my wishes, need support, etc.
5) What are some of your hobbies? well, I turned my hobby & passion into my career, so I am trying to find other hobbies (I went to music school). I have been working on lettering. I also like baking.
Baby girl is moving a ton now! Also the rabbit hole of Amazon has got me. I ordered a diaper tote and finally some bigger bras that I can use for nursing.
5) What are some of your hobbies?
Right now binge watching stuff and researching baby stuff.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 22 weeks, coconut baby.
2) How are you feeling? Hobbling around in pain thanks to straining my back on Sunday
3) Any appointments this week? Midwife read our anatomy scan on Monday and...
4) R/R/Q? It's a boy! Truth be told my husband and I were both expecting a girl! We are taking our time getting over the shock lol. It's crazy how before I insisted I didn't think one or the other... And now that I've found out I've realized I was! I have always wanted a son and a daughter. I guess I was just somehow expecting the girl to come first haha. Anyway happy healthy baby is what I want more than anything and I am so excited to raise a little boy with my husband, who I think will be a great boy dad. He is nervous about it though.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
5) What are some of your hobbies? I feel like baby prep has taken over my life lol. I do like reading and we both like video games and going to the movies. I do wish I was more the sporty or crafty type though. I don't think I have many hobbies.
@ohsunnydays I 100% share your concern about being the one with all the info. I have had a few conversations with DH about it but circumstances make it vaguely inevitable. Is your H one to watch videos or listen to podcasts? I know it's not the same as a book but it might be better than nothing.
@ohsunnydays there were times in my labor where I was not with it and DH did have to speak to the nurse for me. There was one point in particular where the doctor came in and was pushing C section, my DH spoke up for me and said I wanted to go all natura, at this point in my labor I was not with it and do mot remember this conversation.
Thanks @becks_726 that’s a good idea I didn’t think of! And @disneybaby84 thanks for sharing. Having these little stories/real life examples in my back pocket when talking to DH is helpful.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 20 weeks!! finally!
2) How are you feeling? Well still throwing up at least one per week in the morning, but overall much better. Starting to not be able to eat too much at once, but I don't really get why since I don't have that much of a bump yet.
3) Any appointments this week? Y-es counting the hours until my anatomy scan tomorrow!
4) R/R/Q Really just excited to hopefully get good news tomorrow. We have to wait 4 hours between the scan and our OB appt for the results since she ended up having to do a surgery. Excited to learn the gender and we are taking the whole day off bc of the two appointments and then we can register too. I haven't felt much movement yet, so really need this reassurance given my anxiety/PTSD from 3 years of inferility.
5) What are some of your hobbies? I enjoy the outdoors- camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking. Unfortuantely i am in WI and its cold most of the year so I watch too much TV, though I also enjoy reading.

@ohsunnydays what do you do for a living? I went to music school too! But I came in as a music Ed major and came out with a BS in nursing I did minor in French horn performance though
Ooo!! Another music geek on here I love it. I went to music school for Violin performance , and decided in my sr year to stick around for the extra year for the music Ed credits + student teaching. So glad I did, because I was meant to be an elem general music teacher!! That’s what I do now plus a little bit of my position is strings. And, it’s funny bc when I was in HS I swore I would NEVER be a music teacher. Lol. I now have my masters in music Ed too. Ps I loved playing horn in methods classes... but it’s SO difficult!
@ohsunnydays I could never quite get the hang of strings! So props to you! I started as a child on piano, then flute. I started horn in 8th grade and loved brass. Did mellophone and trombone in marching band, trumpet in jazz band. I tried so hard to play guitar! I almost went to Ithaca conservatory but opted for my state U for mostly financial reasons. I have a lot of friends who are music teachers lol. I'm thankful for you guys!
@notthecheat wow you played so many instruments pre-college, that’s awesome. And, I’m thankful for nurses- something I couldn’t do!! Isn’t it funny how we all find our way to what we are supposed to be ?
