Gender guesses please!

13.5 weeks. Due March 23. HR 150 Not finding out gender till next ultrasound.

Re: Gender guesses please!

  • If I’m not mistaken that’s a profile shot. I’m not sure what you’re expecting to see that way. You’re better off waiting.

And in addition to what @meggyme said, part of the baby's butt is also cut off.

No one on these forums is going to be able to give you a more reliable answer than the ultrasound tech. If they couldn't give you an answer, no one is going to be able to.
  • I said guesses. I didn't want to know till next ultrasound. Yes it's a profile they didn't give me anything else because I didn't want to know then. Some can tell by shape of skull, etc. Was just looking for guesses. Thanks
  • If you specifically don’t want to know yet, why are you asking for guess?

@knottie16869725bfc42eef I’m usually one to rush to the aid of a new member when they make a mistake on the boards and the veterans shame or scold them for their blunder. But what you have posted here makes no sense (yet the ladies are being very calm & logical when replying to you). If you don’t want to know gender from the U/S tech, why ask us to guess from a pic w no details? We will welcome your comments and questions for things we can actually help with.

Hopefully no one will say anything more harsh than what I've already responded with here. In the meantime, we really do hope all new moms stick around in this group. You could change your auto-assigned username so we can get to know you better. You may have to sign out and then back in before your name updates.
  • Ditto, I'm not understanding this either. How are the guesses of random Internet forum people going to be any better than your guess or your mom's guess or best friend's guess?

Personally, I think skull theory is a bunch of bunk, but if you're interested in looking at it for fun, there are various websites out there that give lots of information on how to do it yourself.

    Here's one:

  • Nope, I’m good.
  • Shape of the skull... read enough
  •  I would @ your name knot whatever but they’re are to many numbers. On what to expect app there will be plenty of girls that will gladly guess your baby’s gender for fun, check it out. The community of women on there is way larger and not policed like this one.

Thank you for posting on here I knew right when I read the topic people where going to take time to make you feel silly. It’s like pre mom shaming. If you don’t like the post don’t respond. No reason to try to make her feel stupid or unwelcomed. Glad to get some spice on this board finally. It is quite dull. So what if her post doesn’t follow this boards guidelines, it’s just an Internet forum of random chicks due in March 2019. I thought there were admins I don’t see why random girls on here take it upon themselves to try to enforce guidelines.
  • @mamaoftwomonkeys I was hoping an F19er would come in here with that :joy:

  • Checked your responses on my break thanks for the laughs! I am a regular on here I respond to things that are pertinent to me, not every post sorry! I don’t guess gender on that other app, nor do I post my ultra sounds to be guessed, but read the guesses and it’s fun! I have an almost 4 year old and used this app with him. There was a group of girls that thought they should tell everybody how to post on this board just like this month and it’s quite comical. I hope we get some more random posts so the March 2019 police girls with lots of time on their hands can police them.
  • @mountainmama3r SPOILER ALERT, it's like that in every Bump month club, not just here and in your old BMB>

Also, the Bump is known for thriving on science and facts, so it's no surprise that this post would bring the eye rolls.
  • @mountainmama3r I certainly don’t think anyone here was a police girl. It’s called asking a stupid question on an Internet forum and getting called out (relatively nicely) for being illogical. If I was having this conversation in person I would respond exactly the same.
  • I'm going to concur that the responses have been pretty nice. I would slightly agree that the board monitoring was pretty strict at first...but after being around for a while, i see why it is that way, and i'm not mad at it.  This is not Yahoo Answers...this is not the place for outlandish questions, and stupidity is not coddled. *Shrug* I don't understand why there is confusion, like @swanbrooner said, literally all the BMBs have this type of organization, so if someone just pops up and does this,....they really aren't paying attention, or don't care too...and that's pretty rude...and doesn't really deserve as much kindness as some of these random posters have actually received considering this is a pretty anonymous board.

OP (@mountainmama3r)—I say this in the gentlest of ways: skull theory is super duper baloney, girl.  I know it’s really hard to wait but ain’t nobody here that wants to guess.  <3

Everyone else, do I need to bring back Jerry Springer??  Lol.

ETA: I really don’t think anyone here was being mean; no Jerry necessary.
