Unusual middle names?

What do you all think of giving a child an unusual middle name? We are having a girl, and her first name is pretty standard, but my husband and I like the idea of her middle name being Nyx, after the Greek goddess of night.
Is this too out there??

If you like it, go for it. In most cases, only a middle initial is used if the middle name is recognized at all, so why not choose something off the beaten path? It doesn't come with the same downsides as choosing an unusual first name does.
