How is everyone feeling this week? Third trimester is hitting me hard: I am tired all day because I can't sleep. My reflux is getting out of control and now I have back ache which is a new development! But overall I am not that bad yet! Trying to stay positive!
Any upcoming appointments? I have my 3hr glucose test on Wednesday after I failed my 1hr test last week. I just hope I pass! I am actually kind of looking forward to staying at my clinic for 3 hours and just reading something! I feel very calm at my OB office.
GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy? I don't know if I can answer that question just yet! I've only spent 2 days in the third trimester! I loved second trimester for baby movement and I was a complete mess in the first trimester but all the US's were fun! Plus I felt great through my first trimester with no MS or anything!

Welcome to the 3rd tri @DecemberDoll27, so exciting!! Can't wait for an update from @BusinessWife AND @wildrainbow can't wait for your updates!!

How far along? EDD? 30+4
How is everyone feeling this week? I am starting to get a sore knee from all the extra weight, and its getting really hard to get up and down lately
Any upcoming appointments? I had 2 appointments yesterday, a growth scan with MFM and a regular OB check up. My MFM appointment went ok for the most part. They said baby boy has "bright kidneys" which I am still trying to understand what that means because everyone was like , "Oh don't worry, we'll just look for it at our next scan.., but if its there still or worse he might need a specialist when born".. Well that makes it hard not to worry. My OB check was good. I had to do the glucose test again because they threw my blood away last time and then we talked delivery. She said the latest they will let me go is likely 37/38 weeks!! So roughly 2 months!!
GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy? I think this pregnancy the 2nd was the best and the 1st was the worst with the morning sickness and all.

@Joslynj11 How exciting to talk about a delivery day! It's getting so close! Sorry about the bright kidney thing - hopefully it's nothing and it will be resolved by your next appointment.

How far along? EDD?
30 weeks 3 days, EDD Dec. 1st!

How is everyone feeling this week?
Tired and hungry. All the time. That's mainly it. I don't feel like my belly has grown much the past 4 weeks or so, so not feeling incredibly large yet which is good!

Any upcoming appointments?
Regular check-up with the OB on Thursday. Not expecting too much to happen.

GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy?
The 1st was definitely the worst with all of the nerves and doubts about baby bean sticking around. Psychologically and emotionally, I was a disaster! The 2nd trimester was much better in terms of that, but both were pretty decent with actual symptoms. Let's see what the rest of 3rd tri has in store for me!

How is everyone feeling this week?

GD is very tough lately. My numbers are not good even though I’m on 4 insulin shots per day and we keep upping the dosages. Yesterday I had 3/4 bad numbers. And today so far 1/2 bad numbers.
It got to the point that I’m afraid to eat and remain hungry after some meals. I was actually in tears this morning when yet again I had a bad number when I woke up.

Other than that, I’m really feeling ok. Sleep is tough and my hip pains during the night are pretty bad. That at some point every night I sleep sitting up (maybe 60% angle) as the two sides are too painful to sleep on.

I also finally made the call regarding my leave. So that def made everything more real.

Any upcoming appointments?

I have a doppler appt tomorrow.

GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy?

First trimester though I had no nausea was tough as I was worried.
Second trimester was tough with all the tests in the first few weeks. (Amnio, AS, heart echo) but once I passed all these I was able to feel more confident. Feeling the baby def helped.
Third trimester so far is ok with the way I feel. But GD got much worse. So that makes things not so great as I keep worrying about my numbers.

Hey all! Thanks for starting the thread @mag1cbeli3ver!

33+2 today! Had my NST this morning and baby passed with flying colors! I've been having a lot of back contractions, but nothing really regular. I'm T minus 3 weeks until the longest I'm allowed to go. I'm pretty miserable, but right now, I'm holding steady. I have another NST and u/s on Thurs, along with lab work to check my liver enzymes. Hopefully, I can go at least another week.

GTKY: Haha, honestly this whole pregnancy has been awful. I guess if I had to pick, 2nd tri would be ok.

How is everyone feeling this week? Had a good half hour of contractions last night - that was exciting. Work drama is slowly resolving. Now I must wonder if they’ll get it sorted before I go on leave!
Any upcoming appointments? Regular checkin with the midwives on Friday.
GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy? Worst was probably first - nausea and worry about baby sticking. 2nd and 3rd have both been pretty good, though it was much easier to move around in the 2nd tri!

@halfanewt How exciting to be the next up! And only one week until your EDD! I'm glad things seem to be working themselves out at work. How much longer do you have until you start ML?

@wildrainbow Relieved to hear you had a great appointment yesterday! FX things stay that way for a few more weeks so baby can cook a little longer. Either way, baby will be here in 3 weeks or less! How are you feeling about the timeline? And physically? Has your UTI cleared up?

@prudence9-2 Sorry GD is still being a total PITA. And I feel you on the sleep thing. I've pretty much resorted to sleeping in my papasan chair every night so I can be inclined b/c my hips start to hurt so badly after laying on my side. Glad you have a plan for your leave! Do you have a date in mind to start?

@prudence9-2 I'm so sorry to hear that your GD is getting worse. It broke my heart when I read you said you cried and not eating bc you are afraid. I'm praying you'll find some peace soon. Hang in there darling, not much left. And, I'm sorry for your hip pain, we are in the same boat for sure. I saw a lot of improvement after I went to chiropractor (specialized in pregnant women) and pelvic floor physical therapist. Did you ever check them out?

How is everyone feeling this week? I'm ok. After learning that I have UTI and tested positive for GBS my morale went down a lot. I talked to my doctor and I wont take the antibiotics for now, and will try to heal it naturally. Will get tested in 2 weeks again to see if it cleared. If not, I will have to take the antibiotics. But, I couldnt get out of IV antibiotics during birth. It's their procedure and unless I want home birth that's what will happen ... Btw, I had a very faint brown spotting this morning. I'm attributing it to the UTI and will call Dr. if it continues but I hope its not anything serious. Baby is still in breech position and he might be bruising my cervix and causing it to spot too. My guesses of course.
Any upcoming appointments? Had one yesterday. Everything looked good.
GTKY: Which trimester was the best and which was the worst for you for this pregnancy? All my trimesters were good. Obviously the stress and worry never left and constant pain on my hips are making me miserable, but I cant complain some of us have it harder.

@mag1cbeli3ver For the first time since I've been pregnant, my urine was completely clear! Of course, I think I'm getting a yeast infection from all the antibiotics, so I need to talk to doc about that tomorrow. NST and u/s and labs tomorrow, and hopefully another week of pregnancy.

@mag1cbeli3ver officially I start the 3rd, but can get a note to go out earlier or stay on longer if I want. Hoping to hold out until they get my long term sub sorted so I can have at least one day to train them (haha). But we’ll see!

Had my appt yesterday. Baby was a little slow on the NST, but he eventually picked up. U/s showed he flipped back to breech again. Sigh. It was a blissful 2 weeks of head down. My cervix has shortened a little, which is not surprising considering all my cramping and contractions. They took a bunch of labs, hopefully they will be good enough that I can get another week. Had an u/s student do a practice growth scan and she estimated him to be a little over 5lbs. If I make it to 35 weeks, it's highly likely he will be bigger than his brother. I'm still chugging along, barely. My body is so done.

Thanks @halfanewt @mag1cbeli3ver @Ilky after my OB appt on Wed she discussed my situation with a high risk dr and they decided not to send me for another fetal echo. (Lots of elevations at this stage can cause thicker heart muscle). So it was nice to hear that even with all the elevations they are not worried.

@halfanewt you’re almost there! When do you go on your leave?

@Ilky sorry you have to deal with UTI. Hopefully you’d be able to resolve it soon! As of 2 days ago, on top of the hip pain, I now have pains in my upper spine. I think my body is struggling carrying that extra weight!

Getting some lower abdomen cramps/minor contractions since last night, so I’m thinking I’ll just call it on the whole work thing. Guess my leave has started? Still need to get sub requests in and a few days of plans written, but still. Weird feeling.
