Update on baby stitchnz

Doing a one-off thread for an update on me and baby. Thanks to everyone for your good wishes on my last post. I’m still in hospital, but bleeding and contractions have settled so my OB is looking to send me home in the next couple of hours (yay!).

Had a US to check baby’s growth and it looks like her growth has slowed. The last US put her at 1.6kg and in the 95th percentile, this one was 3 weeks later and put her at 2kg (about 4.5lb) and just over the 50th percentile. My OB made the point that it’s possible that the earlier US overstated her size somewhat, but still seemed convinced that growth has slowed. Blood flow through baby’s cord and brain, and fluid levels, look good, so that’s reassuring. CTGs done overnight and this morning look really good too.

The plan is to see my OB again in a week, and have a follow up scan a week after that. We were starting to plan for delivery at 38w, but that may be pulled forward to 36w depending on what the next scan shows.

Crossing my fingers and toes that I can go back to the relative calm of the last few weeks and keep this girl cooking for a bit longer.

Thanks again for all your support!
