I was super proud of myself... tried to be healthy and passed up going out to lunch with my coworkers in order to grab a salad from the work cafeteria.... and then saw that the cafeteria was serving nachos. But I put salsa and jalapeños on my nachos so it was clearly just like a salad.... 🤦♀️
I finally gave into my week long craving for chocolate chip snowball cookies and made some. About to stuff my face while watching Great British Bake Off which is so dumb to do while pregnant. I’m just glad my CFA craving has passed. I’m not trying to gain ALL the weight.
No real cravings or aversions and hardly any nausea, but SO hungry all the time. I normally argue with DH over salt and think there's never enough, but now everything tastes too salty to me. I already had breakfast (oatmeal, fruit, almonds), snack (almonds), and brunch (Sbux eggwhite feta wrap) today, and can't stop reading this thread or thinking about what to get for lunch! And it's not even 11:30am yet. Luckily, DH has gotten the message this week and has so far made sure to start cooking dinner before I get home. Nom nom nom
Um, the school has not yet posted the printable lunch menu for October, do they not know my pregnant ass needs to print this for my bulletin board so I can dream of future lunches?
Was craving Japanese Onion & Mushroom soup (the kind you get at a hibachi or teppan style place) and followed the recipe but it wasn't nearly as good as the restaurant type. Didn't kill the crazing so I think I'm buying some today. I usually love sweets but this pregnancy has me wanting savory all the time - it's so weird!
I've been wanting soup this week since I've been sick so I have a giant tub of broccoli cheddar from the grocery store and a loaf of french bread that I've been portioning out the last couple days. Sooo good.

I love that soup but the nausea prevents me from having anything creamy. I've been doing alot of brothy soups which helps a little but isn't nearly as tasty as broccoli cheddar. Makes me queasy just thinking about it - like I can smell it already lol. And it's so sad cause I LOVED that soup.
@zuuls_mom SO JEALOUS! The restaurant in the building I work in had broccoli and cheddar soup yesterday when I called, but they ran out in the short couple of minutes it took me to go downstairs. Needless to say I was crushed and almost pitched a fit, but I reeled it back in. I still need broccoli and cheddar soup.. 😂
My body was craving fish but I'm so picky on what kind of fish I eat and how it's prepared - ended up having a Filet O Fish from McDonalds but it definitely hit the spot. I think I didn't get enough protein in yesterday and my body just needed it today.
Well, I've officially reached the "everything tastes disgusting and I can only eat cereal, plain noodles, and PBJ" stage of first tri. Was really hoping that wouldn't happen this time. DH made spaghetti last night and it tasted horribly sour, and I know from experience that means everything is now disgusting to me.
Anyways, this is now me. I'll give you 10 points if you get the reference.
+1 for husband for picking up broccoli and cheddar soup from Panera tonight! I might should’ve told him to get a whole tub of it.
@MelissaMay82 girl, get you a cold ham and cheese sub! As long as you’re not going to some sketchy deli, you’re fine. My dr also said cooked sushi is ok to eat.
DH brought home a loaf of homemade sourdough from our neighbour. He had already started nibbling at it, so apparently I took that as license to eat half the loaf. It’s effing delicious.

@k2k2tog that sounds amazing! Would've gone perfectly with the tomato and red pepper soup I had for lunch. TJ's organic low sodium soups are actually really good - they only have 2 kinds though Trying to figure out what to eat on a daily basis that's somewhat healthy (or at least not entirely unhealthy) is hard when we all feel like crap!
Got Greek take-out last night. I tore the hell out of my gyro and even added extra meat. It was extra tasty. I want more now but I ate it all so I don't have any leftovers.
With this horrible sour/metallic taste in my mouth, I cannot wait to get home and have a few sips of pickle juice! They say pickles and citrus will help with this nasty taste. I love sweets but nothing is sweet with these nasty taste buds (which may be a blessing in disguise cause there's brownies in the office today and I have no desire for them).
I'm waiting for H to come back with Qdoba In the meantime, continuing to watch This Is Us, seems like a nice night for crying. This is my ideal Friday.
I had a DREAM eating day. Got cooked sushi for lunch and then we had lobster and corn on the cob for dinner. Topped it off with my dad’s homemade peach pie. Stufffffed.
I LOVE Panera broccoli and cheese soup- I was just thinking of having that this weekend. I haven’t tried it in the bread bowl yet. I usually get the you pick two. I miss burgers and steak as I like to eat them medium and I am paranoid that it will affect something. I have been thinking about getting some smoothie recipes so that I can get more greens in.
@Pahialii Udon mmmmmmmm. I have a million Udon recipes pinned on Pinterest, but Publix doesn't stock it, and I never had time to go to a specialty grocery. We moved, so no more Publix, and were grocery shopping so Kroger...I found Udon!!!! So now I just need to decide which recipe I want to make today and get the rest of the ingredients. I may just go with basic hibachi noodles because YUM but then I would have to share with DDs...
For lunch today I made the most basic soup, ditalini cooked in chicken stock with butter added to the broth then sprinkled with parmesan...ultimate comfort food. Bonus that both of the girls also liked it!
Just had my 2nd dinner at work (working THREE overnights in a row this weekend, ugh!)...it all started out so well, with a salad...and rapidly progressed to me ordering a burrito from the local Mexican place...sooooooo good and soooooo bad all at the same time. But, it was a whole wheat wrap AND I did kickboxing yesterday, so that balances things out, right?
Major aversions: coffee. Thus astounded me. Coffee is my one thing I MUST have every morning and I’m totally revolted by it. I had a nasty headache for about 4 days but I’m over the hump. Also, I have a lot of smell aversions. I have forbidden my wife from lighting candles and wearing perfume. Barf.
my main cravings have been: fries fries and more fries. fruit - but only specific kinds (melon, pineapple) pickles ( bubbies brand only 😂) nachos
