  • This thread is for those due March 1 (and earlier) to March 9

    Due date: March 1

Any appointments? Questions?: I have an appointment Wed with a midwife. I’m switching from my OB so this will be my first time at this practice.

Rants/Raves?: Non pregnancy related... I accepted a job at a new school district back in April, but just started in late August. They don’t know I’m pregnant, but I was planning to tell my principal this week since I’ve gotten to know him a bit. Today, I found out that I’m moving to a new school TOMORROW because of student enrollment. I’m just annoyed because I now have to tell someone I’ve never met that I’m due in March.

How are you feeling?: Likw crap. I have a horrible cold and I haven’t been sleeping at night since I’m so conjested.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Spaghetti and meatballs

  • @chocolatelemons Ugh that sucks about telling your new boss. FX it goes well!

@mschanandlerbong1214 good luck with your appointments this week!
  • Due date: 3/2

Any appointments? Questions?: Routine check-up next Monday.

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I usually get into work around 9am but had to be in for a 7am meeting today and 8am tomorrow. I also lost sleep over the weekend because my cat couldn't keep her food down and I was cleaning vomit out of the carpet at 3 and 5am Saturday night/morning. (Lest anyone should worry, cat is fine. We took away her food for a few hours then let her have it back a little at a time. Whatever was going on seems to have worked itself out. FX!) Rave: I took off work this coming Thursday and Friday and I'm so excited to sleep in and get some house chores done!

How are you feeling?: Feeling tired but it's manageable. Overall, I can't really complain. Seems like many moms are starting to feel their baby moving and I can't wait to feel mine! Sometimes I think maybe....? But I'm just not sure.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? So many good ones posted here! I second the homemade Mac and cheese and the bread and butter! Carbs and fats please! Yum!

  • Due: March 2

    Appointments: Early Oct. Can't wait!

Rants/raves: Still achy. I actually started wearing a back brace around my hips, which helps with the SPD/SPDish pain. Unfortunately, now there's a new kind of pain. Muscle soreness kind of, in my right side and right back. Super annoying.

Feeling: See above. Good days and bad days.

Comfort food: Oh so many. Mac and cheese definitely. Also pizza. And I love mashed potatoes. Burger and fries. I could go on and on. I love food.
  • @teachermama4 your rave is amazing!!!! so so cool.
  • @mamaoftwomonkeys Good luck telling your work! I think I may just tell my new boss tomorrow.
  • This thread is for those due March 1 (and earlier) to March 9

Due date: March 7 (LMP) March 9 (ultrasound at 9 weeks)

Any appointments? Questions?: Appointment is Wednesday... I’m excited to hear the baby again and to schedule the anatomy scan we don’t know the gender yet so I’m excited it’s getting close!

Rants/Raves?: My son was diagnosed with an ear infection today I just feel bad that he’s been struggling and we didn’t know. He’s had a runny nose for 2 weeks now (I blamed a cold), was holding his ears off and on (I blamed teething), and finally last night the fever came. Mom guilt is so real! He always acts so “normal” like he’s just fine that it makes it hard to think twice about his symptoms.

How are you feeling?: Tomorrow morning will make a whole week since I’ve gotten sick! I may have to eat dinner before 5 but I’ll take it if it means I can eat without feeling nauseous or getting sick! Also starting to get some cramping and stretching pain!

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? French fries when I’m not pregnant but this pregnancy is all about the sweets!! Ice cream and chocolate!!

@bug_hunter that is very sweet and thoughtful of your sister!

@teachermama4 that is amazing that the doctor came into the class!! I love that!

  • Due date: 3/6/19

Any appointments? Questions?: Appointment next Tuesday to hear the heartbeat and submit my consent for a VBAC

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I've been on planes and in airports for the last 11 hours and get to do it all over again tomorrow and I am exhausted. Rave: I got to eat Pappadeaux at DFW and I'm headed out for some Mexican food in south TX!

How are you feeling?: Overall pretty great, but I need to slow my roll with the eating (not tonight though, haha!)

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? I can't pinpoint one type of food, but there is an Amish buffet near where I work that is my go-to comfort food. Chicken noodles, stuffing, chicken, green beans and rolls!  So. Good.

@bug_hunter I love that your sister did that!!!

  • Due date: 3/9/19

Any appointments? Questions?: I had my appointment last Monday and got to hear little man's heartbeat for the first time. We went ahead and scheduled the rest of my appointments for 2018 while I was there. I think next time I am going to talk more about possible VBAC options, even though I'm leaning toward a RCS. Right now, I'm thinking I'd schedule the C at 40 weeks, but try some things like a couple of sweeps starting at 39 weeks. I want to avoid induction if I can.

Rants/Raves: Rave: We are going to a pop-up Ramen event for dinner tomorrow. GET IN MY BELLY.

How are you feeling? The nausea is getting less and less frequent, but I'm still so tired!

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Something salty, savory, and carb laden like stuffing/dressing, chicken and dumplings, or good macaroni and cheese.

  • Due date: 3/3

Any appointments? Questions?: I have an appointment on Friday. Looking forward to hearing baby again. Someone else mentioned their 20 week scan coming up. Mine seems so far away because of how I had to schedule but I cannot believe that 20 week mark is coming quickly!

Rants/Raves?: I’ve been sick since the beginning of this month and I’m sooo over it! I never got sick when pregnant with DD so this sucks so bad! Good news is I’m getting better finally but I’m still not sleeping much.

How are you feeling?: I’ve been sick, so I’ve been miserable. I have an annoying cough and still haven’t been able to eat much. I also don’t know if the lack of sleep is related to my relentless cough or continued pregnancy insomnia.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Pizza or anything sweet!

    Dx: Non-IR PCOS
    Baby Girl K #1 Born 3/8/14
    Baby Girl K #2 EDD 3/3/19
  • Due date: March 6

    Any appointments? Questions?:

another checkup next week with OB. I'm thinking about switching to the midwives. The practice I'm with has both midwives and OBs.

    Rants/Raves?:

rave: someone at work asked if I was expecting! I've been self concious about my belly, so I'm glad someone thought it was a baby and not just extra weight :)

    How are you feeling?:

Good. I'm having odd feelings in my insides, like my organs are moving around when I bend a certain way. Its really weird. Anyone else feel that? Also lots of uncomfy stretching in the abs! Hoping to feel baby move soon!

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food?

It's too hard to pick one! Chinese food, chocolate chip cookies, pizza, potato soup, you name it lol.

  • @dandelionbreeze I am definitely feeling a lot of weird stretching twinges and weird pains when I move or bend.

  • Due Date: March 2nd

Any appointments? Questions?: Not until Oct. 8th, for the 20 week scan. It is almost here!

    Rants/Raves?:

Rant: I still feel very tired in the afternoons and can only get so many things done in a day. I wish my mother in law wouldn't tell all the stories of everything she did while she was pregnant, my DH jokingly looks at me like, "well?" Don't tell me how to feel, I am me and you are you. :(

Rave: Last week was horribly busy but it's in the past now! :)

How are you feeling?: Encouraged by random baby movements! I'm right with you ladies who say you're still tired. The energy burst only lasts for the mornings. At least my mom and grandma are on my side and say I should listen to my body and rest!

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Homemade bread and butter, mashed potatoes and gravy.

*This pregnancy has been making me want mac and cheese a lot. This baby is not into sweet tastes. Which is different than my first 2 pregnancies, but my last pregnancy seemed to be this way, too, and now she will eat anything that is put in front of her. :)

  • Due date:  March 2

Any appointments? Questions?: We have our gender reveal ultrasound (where our mom’s are creating the surprise) tomorrow. I’m feeling girl but I honestly don’t care. Then just a standard check-up on 9/25.

Rants/Raves?: I bought maternity pants for work and lord have mercy where have these things been my whole life. Not only do I look pregnant in them the uncomfortable feeling of things sitting on my pelvic area is nonexistent.

How are you feeling?: I have an anal fissure (TMI) that bled last night but feels better today. Nurse said it was normal. Still getting nauseated and I’m 16 1/2 weeks. I’m scared I might be a whole pregnancy nauseous kind of girl.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Spaghetti or my Nanny’s tomato vegetable soup.

  • Due date:  March 1

Any appointments? Questions?: We had our 16 week appt this morning. Everything went great, got the blood test results and everything in normal. Oct 9th is the 20 week scan. I can't wait,we haven't seen the baby since my first ultra sound.

Rants/Raves?:Rant sitting at my desk at work is getting super uncomfortable. I try to walk around as much as possible but by 3pm I'm so ready to not be sitting. Im really considering bringing a yoga ball to sit on or something..

How are you feeling?: Mornings are great, still tired in the afternoons. I've felt a few flutters but then tend to second guess what it was.

@dandelionbreezeI right there with ya on the weird stretching. I've also had a few sharp pains and talked with the dr this morning about it. She said its completely normal. Still kinda freaks me out though.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Green beans, mashed potatoes and fried chicken strips. all about that southern comfort!

@Lbloom me to! sweets sound terrible and make my stomach hurt. Everyone around me is so surprised bc I love chocolate and sweets.

@BuckeyeNut05What part of South Tx?? I live south of San Antonio. Yay for some yummy tex mex!!!

  • @bluebell08 I just took a better look at the map, I should have said west TX!  I was in El Paso; since I could basically see MX I thought I was really south when I was waaaaay west. Food was still good though!  ;)
  • Due date: March 3

Any appointments? Questions?: I made an appointment at a private ultrasound place to find out the sex of the baby and to get a few pictures. Can't wait! That appointment if for Oct 4. I've been transferred to an OBGYN who I will see on the 9th. 20 week ultrasound will be on Oct 19!

Rants/Raves?: Rant- what did I do with all my maternity clothes from my pg with my DD?! I can't find them anywhere! I'm having to start from scratch this time around. Annoying.

How are you feeling?: Fine. Sacroiliac pain and congestion are my only two complaints.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? Hmm... spaghetti! Or Chinese take-out.

@bug_hunter That is so thoughtful of your sister! How nice!

@teachermama4 Wow, how cool that the doctor came into the class!

  • Had my appointment today ... still losing weight. My midwife is a bit concerned because I’m still so nauseous, getting sick. She’s changing my meds off of zofran and to diclegis. She’s hoping that my insurance will help pay for it because I guess it’s very expensive. We also heard baby’s heartbeat today a strong 142! We also set the next appointment and anatomy scan for Oct 18! I’m so excited to find out if we have a baby boy or baby girl in there!
  • edited September 2018
@ashley14598 I was prescribed diclegis and it was covered by blue cross. Not sure what you have for insurance... My SIL’s insurance didn’t cover it and it was $900. She was visibly upset over it and the pharmacist actually found a coupon for her and she only ended up spending $90. So,if your insurance doesn’t cover it, ask the pharmacist if they know of any discounts.

On a more positive note, so exciting about the anatomy scan. We have ours on Oct. 4 and I’m so excited!
  • Due date: March 5

Any appointments? Questions? Next appointment is Oct 1. Got our test results back last week and we are low risk, and they confirmed that it’s a boy!

Rants/Raves? I just got back from a 10 day work trip. Rave: 10 days in Europe was good for me as a person and for my career. Rant: I am exhausted. Between jet lag and working non-stop for 10 days, I didn’t take the best care of myself and I am really feeling it.

How are you feeling? Tired, but really happy to be home. I am having a flare of an autoimmune issue that was a problem during my last pregnancy, but the treatment is steroids, which I will avoid for as long as possible. So far it’s not too bad, and I am hoping it will resolve itself.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food? I would usually say tomato soup and grilled cheese, but I am going through a serious potato thing this pregnancy. Roasted, fried, baked, I will have all the potatoes please.

  • @maggiemadeit Hope you’re feeling better soon!
  • Oh I'm with you on the potatoes! I've been craving my mom's potato soup for days
  • @ashley14598 I pay 154 dollars a month for my Diclegis!  My insurance won't cover it either and I have BlueShield.  It is worth it for me because it really does help.  I still throw up sometimes but it really helped me keep food down and not feel so gross all the time.  I hope you start feeling better.

  • My due date is march 9th. My only concern is doctor says i shouldve gained 5- 10lbs by now especially since i was underweight before getting pregnant. I lost 3lbs my first month of pregnancy from nausea, but have since only gained 1.5lbs back. I feel like I'm eating enough just not getting any results.
  • I’ve been lurking and following all you ladies this week. Just laying low a bit until after my amniocentesis on Monday (been really nervous and not talking about it has seemed to be my coping method lol). Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
  • @navete I hope everything goes well. I’ll be thinking a good thought for you on Monday!
