October will be 14yrs together. Married almost 6yrs. Took 2 kids for us to finally tie the knot. Ha!

We met my junior year in high school. I just started my first job at a local grocery store and he came through my line. I remember going home and telling my mom about this really hot guy that came through my line. He started coming in every Sunday even if it was just for a pack of gum. 3 months of this and he finally got the courage to ask me for my number. I called him as soon as I got off work and we've been together ever since.

We’ve been a couple for 6 years, and our 3rd wedding anniversary is coming up in October.

We both worked at the same company, started around the same time, and were close friends while there but neither of us wanted to date someone we worked with. He asked me out the night the company we worked for declared bankruptcy and laid everyone off.

We met accidentally on Facebook! He was trying to message one of his IRL friends with the same first name and got me instead. We were "friends", but we don't really know how that ever happened. We chatted twice on Facebook, then he gave me his number so I could call when I was comfortable to do so, we met up a couple of days later and have been inseparable since. That was 9.5 years ago, we celebrated our 7th anniversary this past June.

We met at college. We became friends my senior year of college, he asked me on a date that Nov, we got engaged that Feb, and married in July the same year. We've been married 12 years now and I couldn't ask for a better life partner.

We met in high school. He is related to my dad's best friend. So they were over for a bbq and we hit it off. Went to rival high schools in a really small town and kept bumping into each other. Finally he asked me out.

We went to the rodeo and he was super late and barely talked to me so I thought that was it. We were engaged a year later and married 3 more after that.

We met our junior year of high school and DH actually took me to homecoming that year. We kept in contact over the years and finally actually started dating 8 years after we met.

I met him on Facebook after he added my best friend on Facebook because his best friend liked her. I was jealous so I added him. This was right after the end of our junior year of high school. We met in person for the first time at a summer league basketball game and he wouldn’t even look at me, let alone talk to me! I eventually got him to talk to me and the rest is history! 2 dogs and a new house later, we are SO excited to add our Baby Bear to the den!

Together 9 years, married 8. We met at church - I had had a serious relationship end about 6 months before, and then a short fling. Both relationships ended over a difference in religious beliefs and convictions. So, when there was a cute guy at church on the last Sunday before the end of the semester, I wasn't about to let him get away. I added him on Facebook almost as soon as I got home, and we haven't missed a day of talking and connection since. He is my everything.

We met at a party. We had a mutual friend who invited me to a party that was being held at his apartment. Turned out, we’d run around the same circles for nearly our entire lives, and just never knew it.

Well... that’s the G rated version. The R rated version that I never thought about in relation to my all time favorite 90s sitcom until @expandcontract ‘s post is that as friends we went to London together, preferred to get drunk together (since we could legally drink there but not in the US) versus sightsee with the rest of our friends.... and maaayyy have ended up in a very similar Monica and Chandler situation 😇. We've been together officially for 10 years next month and celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary this past March.

We actually met through a missed connections ad on craigslist! I had moved to town about a month or so before he did, and I was browsing craigslist missed connections, and his jumped out at me because it was targeted toward a chick walking her dog near where I would walk my cousin's dog. I wasn't the girl he wrote the ad for, but we wound up hanging out one night at the beach, and the rest is history!

We met on my first girl’s night out after I finally managed to shake a horrific 5 year relationship almost 6 years ago. He was super drunk and I was the only person of all the girls I was with he didn’t know (they knew him through their husbands) and with liquid courage he cane to the table and made a fool of himself. When he left, all the girls said, nearly simultaneously, “Maggie needs to date Ben!!” And I was instantly put off. I did NOT need another relationship so soon after dealing with the crap I just left. A week later, I went to one of my friend’s homes for another “girl’s night” which was actually a set-up for us to meet. We’ve been together ever since. Married now for 3.5...this little one, should they arrive a tad late, could come on our JP wedding date (our wedding with our fam happened 3.5 years ago, but we had a JP wedding 4.5 years ago. Nice and complicated for you all 😉)

Our first date was February 15th 2011 (because a first date on Valentine's Day would have been weird).

We met on the train in the city. He started chatting me up about a book I was reading. I was so nervous at the resteraunt that I decided I would only open my menu to order when I felt comfortable. By the time I remembered to open it, we had been there for hours already and I thought "I can't open my menu now, that'll be weird!" So I had two glasses of wine, he had two beers, and we sat at that table talking for five hours without ever looking at the menus. That waiter must've hated us.

He stayed so long that his parking meter expired and he got a ticket. He told me later that he got drive-thru on the way home because he was so hungry. I did too.

We've been together for 12 years, married for 4. I was anti-marriage for a while, but after DD1 was born, something shifted and I wanted us to all have the same last name.

We met when we were basically babies (he was 16, I was 17) because we played an online video game in the same server. We would talk in-game, and instant message when we weren't playing. It turned out he lived in my state, about 10 minutes from where I would be going to college the following year, so we met in person, started dating, and I went to his prom with him, and we've been together ever since.

How did you meet?
We met at a wedding. True story-I caught the bouquet and he caught the garter. He asked the groom to introduce us and the rest is history. The funny part was that I was known for catching the bouquet at weddings- it was my "thing". I think I caught 6-7 before DH. I was a few months out of a relationship when we met, so things progressed a bit slowly for the first 5 months, but I had a very strong feeling that I would marry him the day that we met.

Well.. we don’t have quite the romantic story some of y’all do haha We started dating in college when I was 21 (he was 22). He was friends with some of my good guy friends from high school, and we ended up meeting at a party. I thought he was cute, so I played on his beer pong team (don’t judge me 😂). We all partied together, and eventually me and husband started dating a few month later. Those were some really fun and great times! It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come since our wild college days. We just had our 5 year anniversary in June, and January will be 10 years of being together.

How did you meet? Law school orientation. He came up and introduced himself by first and last name. His last name is a very common Polish surname. I had a ballet instructor with nearly the same name (and she was prominent in the dance community here), so I asked if they were possibly related. His response was, "No, [last name] is like Smith in Poland." And he walked away. And that's how I met the love of my life. Shocker it took us 2 years to start dating.

We met about 16 years ago on the internet as teenagers. This sounds dumb, but we were kind of like pen pals- I would work on my French with him and also teach him English. Then I went to get my undergraduate degree in Scotland and would visit him in France on most of my breaks- we've been together ever since. After I graduated, I came back to the US to go to law school, so we had very long, very long-distance relationship. We got married in 2010, but had to spend the first 8 months of our marriage in different countries while awaiting his immigrant visa approval. Thankfully, we haven't spent much time apart in the last 7 years- it's been a long haul!
