TTC After a Loss

TW - I'm Back

Well, looks like CP number 2. My dark test lines have gone super light, symptoms are gone and I started bleeding this morning. I guess a CP is better than another MMC, so there is that at least. I guess. Anyway, after a MMC and two CP's in a year I'm starting to think my eggs are just crap and *TW* I'm afraid that if TTC is successful, we'll have a special needs baby. Not that we wouldn't love any baby we had, but I need to start thinking of how that might affect my LC. *End TW* Time for some soul searching I guess.

Re: TW - I'm Back

  • I'm sorry for your losses and that you're going through this all again. RPL is truly awful. I know it may be too early to think about, but consider an RPL panel and meeting with an RE.

  • I swore out loud when I saw this and caused quite the commotion at work. I’m so freaking sorry ❤️
  • Thanks everyone.

@dpjennifer We are changing insurance carriers during open enrollment, so once we're all settled in with our new providers in January, I'm going to get a referral for an RE.
  • @ruby696 I’m very sorry. I hope once you are able to meet with a RE you can get some helpful answers.
  • Not another returning member! Oh I’m so sorry for all your losses! Please take care of yourself and take your time making these big decisions! Hope you’re able to find the clarity you need.
  • To update, I saw my doctor today and she was great. Absolutely acknowledged that this wasn't normal. She wants me to start taking baby aspirin daily when the bleeding stops. She also did an ultrasound to check my lining (since I had a D&C in July) - that looked normal. She went ahead and ordered labs for everything she could think of and retested my thyroid. I also opted to do the Natera genetic screening, which MH will also do if I'm a carrier of one of the conditions screened for. 16 vials of blood later, I feel like at least there's a chance that maybe we'll find a simple fix, if there is one. Maybe I just feel better because she's taking it seriously.

On the plus side, if everything is negative and I see an RE with a new insurance carrier, coverage for the same tests (if they are the same) hopefully won't be an issue.

Thank you all for being awesome as usual.
  • @ruby696 your doc sounds amazing! I hope there’s a simple fix and that there are much happier days ahead!
  • @ruby696 Sounds like you have a great doctor! It’s always nice to feel like you’re actually doing something that can help, I hope you get some answers from these tests.
  • I’m so sorry to hear of your loss :( I’m glad you have a good doctor! I’m hoping for an easy fix for you.
